    BONUS EPISODE 2

A bit more normal, and a bit less badly edited. Actually, not edited at all. I'm walking here!

  2. 27

    BONUS: Mid-season episode

It's a long one, and it takes you to Nagoya and back, then back in time in search of a little black rabbit. there's a long, sprawling visit to a flea market during which I forgot I was recording. Believe me, I deleted HOURS of me shuffling around silently. YOU'RE WELCOME!

  3. 26

Episode 26 - Week 6: END OF SEASON ONE!

Episode 26 - Week 6: END OF SEASON ONE!No more commutes for a while! I'll be back for some mid-term specials, but for now, it's over and out. It's a bike episode, and I'm still unwell, so super fun. Expect accents!

  4. 25

    Episode 25: Week 6 - Impromptu Interview

Episode 25: Week 6:It's a driving one. Okay, the heavy weekend has caught up with me and I'm not in good fettle. Luckily I was accosted by a colleague and we chatted about Tom Waits, which was nice. Other than that there's trouser complaints, smelly rosemary, and reduced enthusiasm.Lindsay Hannon, Tom Waits For No ManTom Waits, Jockey Full of Bourbon

  5. 24

Episode 24 - Week 6: Less Beer, More Trees

Episode 24 - Week 6:A day late! How remiss! Sorry, I know you've been suffering. It's a walking one, but don't worry, tomorrow is a driving one.

  6. 23

Episode 23 - Week 6: Cans Cans Cans (and a Persian cat)

Episode 23 - Week 6:A walking episode, split into two parts. It was a busy weekend, with an unhealthy amount of not-water drinking. So lacklustre is an appropriate word to describe today's episode, but you can't win 'em all*!*any of them

  7. 22

Episode 22: Week 5 - Forgot my security card...

Episode 22: Week 5Whoops! Big mistake. I feel very not very good today, so lacklustre is an understatement. You get the whole spectrum in a daily podcast!

  8. 21

Episode 21: Week 5: Animal excitement

Episode 21: Week 5:Perhaps in honour of the passing of chief twitcher Bill Odie, one of the most beautiful birds I've ever seen made an appearance today. Also making their debut were cat gangs, cicadas of course, and a big fish 'n friends. It is a slightly extended episode because of the hybrid 'drive:walk' nature of it, and features some extraordinary stinky singing and shoe refusal, dangerous child cyclists, a double appendage gomi carrying methodology, and the avoidance of a creepy approach. Tune in!

  9. 20

Episode 20 - Week 5: With You Kumamoto

Episode 20 - Week 5;Walking episode. After a brief clothing malfunction there is a moment to reflect on the terrible earthquake in Kumamoto before resuming idiotic waffle. After that it's pretty much idiotic waffle until the end, with some short but important pieces of advice. A falling branch does feature, so keep your ears open for that.

  10. 19

    Episode 19 - Week 5: Stinky's reign/rain

Episode 19 - Week 5:It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring...well, driving. Yes, it's driving rain driving today, so a shorter episode. There's some behind the scenes pre-commute homelife to contend with before you get to the good stuff i.e. me once again explaining the format of the pod. I just assume that nobody is completist enough to go back to day one and start from there...you should though, it is absolutely worth it.

  11. 18

Episode 18 - Week 5: The Yakuza One

Episode 18 - Week 5A walking episode. In this one I encounter many people carrying bags of rubbish, a Mum or two, some cicadas, and the memory of a time I met the local Yakuza boss.

  12. 17

Episode 17 - Week 4: Cicada piss shower

Episode 17 - Week 4:I've genuinely forgotten everything that happened on this morning commute, but I DO know I drove in today, so it's short. Lucky you!

  13. 16

    Episode 16 - Week 4: Placebo Gazebo

Episode 16 - Week 4:Health update! We have a gender reveal, I go hypoactive, Woody Harrelson gets a mention, weirdly, and I go down a different road.

  14. 15

Episode 15: Week 4 - Dead end bonanza

Episode 15 - Week 4:Cycling today, so just a tiddler. Honestly, I've forgotten what I said, but I know I mentioned the perils of showering/sweating when hairy, got frustrated by dead ends, fought a bear, won a Pulitzer prize, and raised the titanic from the depths. Ah, nobody reads these bits anyway, do they?

  15. 14

    Episode 14: Week 4 - The Entertainer

Episde 14 - Week 4...TuesdayIt was a long weekend, and we went to Tokyo. So most, if not all, of this week's episode is a review of the weekend. The main gist of it is me complaining, but honestly, I had a nice time. The first 5 minutes is a kind of tribute to a great man who died last night, Kevin Keegan. So if you're an NUFC fan tuning in to listen for the first time, yes, the rest of it is normally a bit like that. If you're not that into football, or the heroes therin, maybe skip the first 5 minutes...

  16. 13

Episode 13 - Week 3: Pouch or testicles?

Episode 13 - Week 3: Pouch or testicles? No visuals, thankfully. Besides, it's all about the animals. I had a request not to drink, so far no request to stop breathing. I walked again, so it's long. Apologies to the makers of In the Night Garden for the inclusion of a bit of the theme music...

  17. 12

    Episode 12 - Week 3: Think Locally, F**k Globally?

Episode 12 - Week 3:Another slog of a walk, another sweaty boy, another litre of water. I briefly got deep, then remembered who I am (thanks laughing lady). There are cheeky/polite schoolchildren, a bowing old lady, a bit of a hug, and the rest, I've forgotten. You will too! So it can't do any harm to have a bit of a listen.

  18. 11

    Episode 11 - Week 3 - Rock Hard Calves

Episode 11 - Week 3: TuesdayIt's a long one! There's some child's play to kick things off, a helpful man makes an appearance more than once, and a novel route is taken, as are photographs. Also featuring an aeroplane, lots of rubbish, rivers, banging, possible chamomile, irked schoolgirls, student gauntlets, a litre of water, and a Scot.

  19. 10

    Episode 10 - Week 3 - Taco not Tako

Episode 10 - Week 3;I made it to episode 10! So did you. We both deserve a medal. Today I'm tired from socialising. Fully whacked. It's a car episode, so tune on for a run-down of my weekend. #fatigue

  20. 9

    Episode 9 - Week 2: Another Litre

Week 2 - Episode 9It's Friday! I'm on the bike today. I've received parental advice, kind of, and there's some hot stripping action (unrelated). The peak, again, is me downing a litre of water. Stay tuned to witness that in audio form. There's some exciting new theme music too, courtesy of Suno...

  21. 8

Episode 8 - Week 2: Official Fat Man Drinks Water

Week 2 - Episode 8 - Official Fat Man Drinks WaterAfter a tricky visit to a clinic for the fat, my fatness has been made official. Don't be too downbeat though, there's an amazing bit of ASMR right at the end that you'll want to stay tuned for.

  22. 7

    Episode 7 - Week 2 - 2 x kybosh, 2 x in my book

Week 2, Episode 7It's Tuesday. I'm back to the longform pod today, so I'm walking. It's hotter than a hot pocket in the pocket of a hot Marc Hottiger*. There was some tooth brushing embuggerance this morning, but it didn't dampen an otherwise lovely sunny morning walk.* Swiss former NUFC right back

  23. 6

    Episode 6 - Week 2: I have some responsibilities

Week 2 - Episode 6.Another short episode, due to the demands of a small child. Therefore driving was the (literal) order of the day. Some rugby content, very little moaning, and a controversial lack of footy spoilers.

  24. 5

Episode 5 - short not sweet

Episode 5 - Not a lot happened on the morning commute today, everybody was driving pretty well. There is some pretty sweet Stinky chat right at the top though.

  25. 4

    Episode 4 - Rainy Hyperspeed

Episode 4 - With sub-3-hours sleep, and rain pouring, this is a car-based journey. You're going to come to love rainy days for this reason.

  26. 3

Episode 3 - The Gucci Sessions

A happy commute today, albeit rushed. Find 'wear shorts every day' here: WSE

  27. 2

    Episode 2 - Cloth Profligacy

Episode 2 - More complaining, albeit over a shorter period of time. Get in touch and let me know what you think. What would you like to hear more of or less of? Do you want me to come up with a poem on my commute? Do you want more complaining? Less complaining? More family strife? Less? More descriptions of what I see as I commute? Let me know! 28. 1

Episode 1 - Japan Morning commute, an experiment

The first episode! A slow meander with inauspicious beginnings. Join me as I get to grips with the format...
