"Facing Trouble In America - Does It Help Us Good or Bad"

We are going through a time in our nation where there are people who are focusing so hard on troubles that are affecting our country, that these people are talking down anything beneficial that is coming to us.   What I mean is this - in my life here on earth, I have had difficulties and troubles, but I have learned from my own experience that if the Lord is leading me, sometimes, the harder things turn out to be a good result.   My talk today is one such story.

    "Get In The Wheelbarrow"

Question: Have you made yourself to believe that because you aren't some superstar at what you do that you don't have anything to offer in life to anyone?  The truth is this, we all have something to give and each of us is an important part of God's Plan for our country.  The story today is about doing. After you hear the story, pass it on and encourage others to never stop doing.

    "Get In The Arena"

When I was a young boy up through High School, I liked to watch boxing - I even boxed  some myself.   But there was one crucial thought to keep close to myself - Be Prepared, and Don't Quit.   This story is about 1 American Cavalry that had one big problem - they had no horses to ride in their battle - they were horseless!   This story message?   When the fight is upon you, do not be just a watcher - Get in the Arena!

" All of Us Must Stand Up"

We have just finished an amazing celebration in America and it was so exciting to see people being great fans of America.  Now we are busy watching the news, and there are clearly many people in our country that are not in love with America as we wish.   But where does it start? It starts with us, in our own hearts. Take a listen to a number of these thoughts from our Founding Fathers that gave them the direction to keep striving to be a better example to others as how we should carry ourselves.   Don't stop praying, don't stop walking the right way.

    "Don't Burn The Flag"

As you know, we are growing very close to the 4th of July and it is going to be quite the celebration. I have decided that for my July 4th program, I will be doing, each weekend, prior to the 4th of July, stories that are all related in my opinion to be the best American birth stories that talk about our character and our determination to fight for our freedom.   This weekend's YAT is a story that happened on Dodger Field in the mid 70's - what exactly happened when two men rushed onto the field to burn an American Flag right there on the field and everyone was stunned.    It is a powerful note to everyone that we would be willing to take on the most dangerous things we could face and do it because we love our country.

  11. 90

    "Be A Hero"

This story is about one person who was in harm's way and could have run, but acted in a courageous way instead. We should all learn from this story that you can be someone's hero even if you aren't doing something courageous. What would you do?

  12. 89

    "The Minutemen"

As we look back in U.S. History, it is hard to believe that we didn't have the most powerful military in the world.   But, we had men who were willing to fight because they believed in our freedom and they loved our America.   Let us never forget that freedom is not free and a great price has been paid.   God bless you, Jerry Stewart

  13. 88

    "Mother's Day"

On our American Calendar there are so many special days to recognize.   Like what?   Free COMIC BOOK Day World BEE Day Fool ALLERGY Awareness Week   I'm Celebrating this Sunday - MOTHERS DAY!   How About You?   God Bless You!   Jerry Stewart

My story for this week is surely one you have never heard before. Take a listen to this mysterious July 4th story and let me know if you have ever heard it.   Thanks! God Bless You!   Jerry Stewart

  15. 86

    "George Whitfield"

I have now spent over 25 years producing Radio Features for Radio Stations all across America. It has been my job to let all Americans today know the great price of Freedom paid by those who, with God's Help, gave us our Great America.   But the thing that always amazes me is that so many "heroes" in our Nation's history have never even been heard of - such is the story today of George Whitfield - one of the main reasons that we have America.   Pass this story along and tell everyone about Minister George Whitfield.    Jerry Stewart

  16. 85

Major League Baseball - Play Ball!

Major League Baseball - Play Ball!   Playing Sports, watching Sports is a great thing for all of us to do in America. But did you know that in the beginning of Pro Baseball there were so many Americans who were left out as professional players because of their skin color.   It's hard to believe that American Negroes were not allowed to play Professional Baseball - so how did it come to be that all they were allowed to play - it's quite a story that needs to be told to those who have never heard it.   So let's go!!

  17. 84

    Who Was Saint Patrick?

We have a Celebration Day coming here in America next week that actually didn't start here in our Nation - It is "Saint Patrick's Day".   It is a true Story of a young man and God's work through him.   Most of us know St  Patrick's Day for its 4 Leaf Clovers, Beer Parties, and general Celebration.   But if you haven't heard the true story behind "Saint Patrick's Day" you must hear this True Story now.

  18. 83

    "Our Greatest President"

With today being President's Day, this is a good story related to one of our Presidents of the United States.  What did they build in his honor?   Enjoy!

  19. 82

    "Running The Wrong Way"

This is the story of a young man named Roy Riegels who played in the Rose Bowl Game as the starting Center for the University of California in 1929.   He was truly one of the best Juniors on the team, but what happened to Roy at that game made it to be his worst game ever.    In fact, his action was so embarrassing, that he refused to go back out on the field for the second half of the game until his coach begged him to get back in the game because "the game was not over yet."   This is a great story that cannot be missed.

  20. 81

"All Of Us Must Stand Up"

One of the biggest problems that we have in our nation and around the world is that no one wants to stand up and do the right thing. We all have a responsibility to carry our own weight and do what is needed. If they built a Monument to represent you as a person, what would it look like? Let's all do our part to keep our America great!  God bless America! Jerry Stewart

  21. 80

  23. 78

    "Principles of Our Founding Fathers"

The Principles of Our Founding Fathers are the conversations that came about between the Founding Fathers, and how they worked out a plan for our Government to follow to see us how to act as a Nation. It's really a good story.

  25. 76

    "Veterans Day"

We are coming up on Veterans Day next Tuesday, and we want to make sure to thank each and every veteran you come in contact with.    We are to be thankful for each and every one of them for the price they paid and their duty to keep our nation free and safe.    Make sure to fly your flags this Veterans Day to remind us of what we can enjoy because of the service they gave and those giving and serving today.   God bless,

  26. 75

    "Columbus Day"

We all are familiar with the explorer, Christopher Columbus - he is the Founder of America.    "In 1492 Columbus sailed the Ocean Blue...".   But his Story and the "Real Reason" for his very dangerous Journey is not what you've heard.   Don't miss this Story!

  27. 74

    John Kennedy "Ask Not"

My Story for this week is one that I remember quite well - The year was 1962 and I was 14 years old.   I still remember sitting in front of my TV set that night with my family, listening to our President, John Kennedy, as he told us that a showdown was coming with the Russians - and it was quite serious.   I have titled  the story "Ask Not".   Let us all Pray!.   Jerry Stewart

  28. 73

    "Jackie Robinson"

It is hard to believe that this story for this week is in our true American history books - but it is!

  29. 72

    "Principles of Our Founding Fathers"

With all of the trouble and doubletalk going on in our American Political Machine today, do you ever wonder how our Founding Fathers were ever able to direct the Character of our Nation for these over 250 years, and keep us on track?.   Listen to the words of our Founders and tell me if we are still on track based on what you hear today.

  30. 71

    "Remembering 9-11"

Let us all remember this tragic day and pray for those who bravely went in to help and those who had lost ones on 9/11/2001.

  31. 70

    "Remembering 9-11"

Let us all remember this tragic day and pray for those who bravely went in to help and those who had lost ones on 9/11/2001.

  32. 69

    "Charles Lindberg"

In my stories, I tell a lot about people who are determined not to just try, but to never give up in their "Doing".   Being an AmeriCAN, 'not an Americant' is quite impressive and we must all be AmeriCANs if our nation is to survive.   But this particular story tells us about a man, Charles Lindberg, who was not just striving to just do something that no other had ever done, but those before who had failed and died trying.    So, let us see what AmeriCAN Charles Lindberg did.    Jerry Stewart

  33. 68

"All Of Us Must Stand Up"

Along with today's Feature I ask this question:   "Are we all responsible to help each other here in America, or do we just stand by with our cameras waiting for the Police to arrive?   What do you think?   Let's Keep Praying!

  34. 67

"The Most Famous Tea Party in History"

It's another warm one in Texas - hope your own local weather is doing well for you.   Our Story this week is not necessarily one that you haven't heard before, but the details of just what happened there are not always so clear.   It's the story of what I call "The Most Famous Tea Party in Our History". We have all come to know it as "The Boston Tea Party".   As you listen to this "Party Story" you will see just how close this event was to the passing date of our Declaration of Independence, and that one of our "Sayings" today, "No taxation without Representation", began in this event.   Please make sure that your listeners don't miss this story which was a great part in getting us on our way to our "Freedom Declaration"

  35. 66

    "The Andrew Jackson Shooting"

What many people don't know is that Abraham Lincoln was not the first attempted Presidential assassination.  Of course, we all know that he did not survive the shooting, but there was another attempt on a president's life and his name was Andrew Jackson.  This story has two very odd parts - 1) The assination was attempted, but he was not shot and 2) The court's decision from this clear murderest attempt was not what anyone thought the decision would be.    Listen to this story and learn what is still being used today.

  36. 65

    "Memorial Day - To Remember"

This "You Are There" is about remembering and honoring our veterans who fought to keep us free and safe.   We need to remember why we have a Memorial Day and not treat it as a day to shop for great deals, but to talk to families that lost that loved one fighting for our country.

  37. 64

    "Honoring Our Military"

To be a hero you don't necessarily have to save someone from a burning building, or jump into freezing water to save someone from drowning - we are told in Webster's Dictionary what the true hero can be.   Listen and remember and honor those who have given their last full measure of devotion in war for our America.

  38. 63

"Jesus - His Price Paid On Good Friday"

Did you know that Jesus came to earth to do something that he did not want to do?

  39. 62

"Rick Monday - Don't Burn The Flag"

This is the true story of one of the most dramatic efforts to burn our U.S. Flag in front of 10's of thousands of people and on television.    Some believe that our flag is just a piece of cloth.  But just like our Bible, it's just not paper writings, it is a powerful picture of what we must know about our country and our American Flag, the red for sacrifice, the white for seeking purity as a nation and a people, and blue to remind us that our powerful help comes from Almighty God.   This is a great story, and make sure to listen to the end to see what the crowd did after the flag was saved.

  40. 61

    "USS Sultana"

Today, all around the world people believe that one of the largest ship wrecks ever was the Titanic.  But did you know that in April of 1865, there was a shipwreck that killed more people than the Titanic and it happened on the Mississippi River in the U.S.    And, there were more passengers killed than the Titanic.     Listen, learn, enjoy!   Jerry Stewart

  41. 60

    "Jackie Robinson"

It is hard to believe that there was ever a time in our America when citizens would be disallowed from participating in anything that our nation has to offer.   But there was a time that Negros could not play in Major Leagure Baseball - this story today is about one Major League Team owner who decided to be the first to bring in a Negro on his team.    This is an amazing story of courage and determination that cannot be ignored.

  42. 59

    "St Patrick's Day"

With St Patrick's Day behind us, there are many who do not know the story behind why we have this holiday.  Some think it is for the Green Beer and the Irish Stew, but there is a great story of how St. Patrick's Day began.    You will be enlightened if you haven't heard this true story before.

  43. 58

"The Invention That Killed A President"

With all of the strange stories I tell about our U.S History, you may think that you have heard them all.   But the story that I am about to tell you today may be the "strangest strange story" you have ever heard.   Be prepared!

  44. 57

    "Our Pledge of Allegience"

It's been a long time since I learned the Pledge of Allegiance, as those in our third grade class recited it to our teacher and finished with a perfect presentation.  Our teacher said she noticed that we all knew the words perfectly, but it just seemed like it was memorized with no heart behind the words.   Then she began quoting the pledge back to us with the heart of the document included.   Since that day, I have never forgotten what the Pledge of Allegiance is all about.   Enjoy,

  45. 56

President's Day - George Washington and the WA Monument

Have you ever wondered if you will ever do anything so dramatically and selfless that you would be considered a hero?  It may be different than you think.   I am sending the YAT feature early this week as we will be out of the studio for a few days.

  46. 55

    "Valentines Day"

Love is a wonderful and beautiful thing, it can bring joy to your life, more joy than just about anything else.  But what happens when the love is sadly lost?     Here is such a story.

  47. 54

    "Mr. Moody"

This is a good true story about character and how you handle yourself.  We all need to remember that how we react is a good teaching moment for those watching you.   We can all learn from this story.

  48. 53

    " Dream A Dream"

If you are like me, you are still thinking about what 2025 will look like - like a dream.   I've always been a great dreamer, but so many of my dreams didn't go as far as I wanted. But this story you are hearing and my radio features that run every week were a dream of mine long ago and for 25 years now, you have been hearing me tell you my dreams. So give it a try and write a story and send it to me.    God bless, Jerry Stewart

  49. 52

"Facing Trouble in America - Does It Help Us Good or Bad To Make Us Better Nation?"

We are now into this new year 2025 and many resolutions have been made, and many may have already been broken.     My new year's resolution is to live above my hardships and give them to God.  To seek first what God tells me instead of listening to my own thoughts.  To be kind to others and have a listening ear for those who need it.   Listen to this story

  50. 51

    "Washington Monument Plaque"

Normally, when the Washington Monument is honored during our America's Father's Day week, we are honoring God because he is our Nation's Father.   However, allow me to give us a little "spin" on this story this week.  HINT - Why was the Plague at the very top of the Monument placed so high that not one human eye can see it?   HINT Tip - Maybe it's meant for only God to see???   Think about it!   Jerry Stewart
