Every parent's nemesis: the smartphone. Is it making our kids smarter? Come to think of it, what a genius marketing idea labeling it a "smart" phone. We think it's making our kids dumber indeed. Well, at least dumber in the human sense. Scary stats: 4 hours a day of scrolling equals to 60 days of your per year. What can, should we do about this as parents? ALL answers welcome! Just don't swipe upwards when it comes to our pod, though, okay?

A bit of a Ceko golf update and Josh admitting that he's a card carrying member of the Impulsive Dads Who Care Too Much Anonymous group. Jo says he's simply a good dad. Then we move on to giving our take on the economy. Why? Because we talk about what affects us on the daily. It's important because it shapes who we are and how we are to others around us. First things first --- Josh is asking if 1 pint of ice cream equals one serving (because he just ate half of a pint and wondered about keeping his girly figure (haha)! Let us know what you think! In this episode: a bit of exciting update on Ceko's big championship win; and, the DEATH of the Third Plyace. 1st place is your home. 2nd is your workplace. 3rd are the cafes, bookstores, bars, and neighborhood hangouts. Why are we letting ourselves live this way? Between streaming services, instas, snaps, reels and all the gross in betweens, is it time we move away from all these gadgets and party like its 1989 again? Among other humans, rub skin to skin, and smell each other's breath again? Should we force our kids and loved ones to live LIFE? We say, "Yes, please!"

According to dating app managers, there's been an uptick of young men EXCLUSIVELY looking for older women to date. Specifically, men in their late 20s through 30s have felt the anxiety and financial burden women in the same age group are demanding. So many questions! Have women pigeon holed themselves and may also date older women? Are middle aged women loving this? Is this just a momentary trend? We know age is just a number but there are biological, procreation-ary, evolutionary, and cultural shifts happening here! Your toughts?

Unless you live under a rock, you've heard about Tiger's most recent driving mishap. 8 hours in the drunk tank (allegedly) was hopefully time used to think about how much he values his life and the life of others around him when he's behind the wheel of a car. Let's get it together, Tiger! So many folks root for you. Okay, forget about everyone else, you've got kids who look up to you. Here's to hoping for the best for him in his future... for his children's sake. This can't feel good... Speaking of vices, um, Josh and Jo talk about Draft Kings and betting.

It's been a long icy, rough, and too much time stream video binging. Beyond the sexy stuff in the bedroom, what are the ways both or throuples or quads maintain a strong bond emotionally and mentally? It's a lot of necessary work! However, if you've found your match, it is worth it. Josh and Jo found common ground in saying that GROWTH is key. It doesn't have to be at the same time or the same pace, but all sides have to try. POD CONFESSION! Jo, as much as she tries not to be and is working on it, holds grudges longer than she needs. Hurt or trauma-based, it doesn't matter. She admits as much and is intent on working on getting rid of this nasty and nonproductive thang she does. Enjoy this as much as we enjoyed recording!

The stylistics of a YouTuber couple is driving Josh absolutely nuts! I mean, it's really pissing him off! Go to "at" relationships withaly on YouTube and check it out for yourself. Jo doesn't buy it. If I ever meet a couple that speaks to each other like this, I would be running for the hills. So why do some think it's "healthy," or "admirable?" We supposed it's better than throwing plates at each other (or is it?). What do you think?

Speedos or trunks? Find out what Josh wears when wading in the water... And, a pet peeve of Jo's - why oh why do people say things in public and then run away from the consequences? While it's untimely (due to our engineer getting sick again), we do talk about the world famous Saratoga Springs Chowderfest prep... yes. It's World Famous because in our world, it just is. Stay warm everyone!

Lots of emotions here about the overly-talked about Super Bowl half time show. Upon reflection, Jo is reacting with intense emotion while Josh takes a practical approach. Josh and Jo can't believe this has not been covered in depth! Power. Dynamics. Relationships. It's so basic yet so complicated. How important is this? Should one person have more or less at all times? Sometimes? Then there's AI relationships. It's happening folks! Are we for it or against it? AAAHHH! so much to deal with to have a lil' company and warm body around. Jo says it's worth working through if you really care about another human. And, of course, Josh and Jo have no problem asking them naughty questions. BUT WAIT! In the second half of this pod, the tables turned and we became the interviewed! She says, "It's so real." Josh surprises her and has a less harsh take than she thought. Not a fan of the overuse of the word "cheating," but it it's clear that it comes in many forms, it hurts people, and unfortunately all to common.

As we prepare for Halloween 2025, we talk clowns, spiders and fears! Then, true to form we transition to fun and sexy Q and As... there's some zingers here, folks, so have fun! And Happy Halloween!

First, Josh's favorite topic: Ceko update! Followed by a discussion poor fan behavior ending in beer cans in the air. And, about a question that haunts Jo daily: WHY DO WE STAY?! Josh was on a roll answering this question. The 80% clean eating has resulted in crystal clear thinking out of Josh. Jo's taking notes.

Enough with the politics and true to their humor and fascination with all things relationships... In semi rapid fire form, Jo asks questions about se*-sions, places it's done and positions. Because? Okay, that only marginally makes sense... just like this topic. From our perspective, the cancel culture is overdone, overbaked, and everything else in between. As bona fide members of the broadcasting industry (haha), we believe we have a dog in this fight. You may be surprised that Jo is not a fan of Jimmy Kimmel getting canceled. It's not just about her law degree and taking the oath to support and defend the Constitution, it's about always wanting to let the other side speak. Josh agrees and we both draw the line at yelling "Fire!" in a crowded room. And Josh's current temperature leaning away from the liberal stuff just goes to show that there IS room for conversation in the middle. Perhaps that's the real message here. What do you think? And, oh, this boring stuff goes away for our next several pods. We need levity and we shall deliver!

Mel, we're sorry not sorry. Jo was pretty all in with the Let Go theory and was a Mel-iever... until Josh peeled off a layer of the onion and called it passive aggressive. Big head THUMP on the table. Hear out Josh. He listened, researched and though not an expert, he makes a good case for NOT letting go. But can we sell 6 million copies of a book about it? Probably not.

Once in a while we discuss topics that touch on all of it - culture, politics, trends, important to some, not important to others. Some of this may be viewed as controversial beyond the fact that - NEWSFLASH: Josh and Jo DO NOT always get along or see eye to eye (not, it's not about our 4 feet of height difference!). Through this pod discussing topics that are sensitive to some, we prove that we can sit in the same room, discuss, listen, hear each other out, disagree, agree, and decide to learn more from others. Differing opinions does not mean you can't be friends. Josh and Jo are serious testaments and illustrate that if we respect ourselves, other humans and treat folks with openness, kindness, humility, and grace, that being friends at the end of the day is THE MOST important thing. We certainly feel that way about each other and we wish that for more people in this world.
