Be caller 9
This piece is a little odd. I started out building the beginning for something else, and then while I was perfecting it, they added in another assignment "Do a 30 second promo". I was so in love w/ the beginning of the piece I was already working on (the part w/ all the chunks of songs) that i opted to keep it. Then I ran out of time in class and couldn't perfect the language and volume levels, so I just sort of shrugged adn kept the whole thing anyways.

Personal ID
DJ's often use Personal IDs during their shows. Here's an example.

Legal IDs and you
Legal IDs are required once an hour and must include the Stations Call letters, frequency and tower location. I remember KNPR's Legal ID took FOR EVER because they broadcast in so many locations.

I hate sports
However we did have a class on sportscasting. Here's the results. (The teacher's comment on this was - you can tell which stories you liked and which you didn't)

Shiny Toy Guns Frontsell
Last Frontsell. These were part of a homework assignment i had to do (make 10 of these). THese are the three I had on my thumbdrive. I'm still working on getting the rest of my stuff up here.

Mighty Might Bosstones Frontsell
This is another Frontsell. When a DJ talks over the back end of a song its called a backsell. Backsells are generally easier, but I dont have any of them on hand.

And the Hero Will Drown Frontsell
When you hear a DJ talk over the beginnign of a song its called a "frontsell", its a technique generally used to promote what's coming up next or keep the listener tuned in.

Theft?
Not sure what's on this one... Oh.. okay so this audio ran under a Final Cut Pro piece I did. The video was stock footage of CSB. I think I was the only one who didn't do a CSB Commercial. If I can find the finished piece I'll upload it to youtube.

Remote @ "Pure"
This piece was a part of a project that was designed to help us learn to "toss" to a remote (which was actually a prerecorded bit on the 360) The 360 is this odd little box that is used to record phone calls, sound bites, and is where the "bleep" button is. It's used a lot on morning shows and has on-board editing. I am not a fan of the little box, but I'm still learning to use it.

Doggie Palace Ad
When I uploaded these I didn't play them back first so I'm sort of doing this blind, and by the title of the file name. This was built in Garage Band I believe, which I dont actually care for very much. While it's great for doing podcasts, its TERRIBLE for audio editing. I much prefer Adobe Audition or Audacity. Please forgive the REALLY bad voice filters and cheesy accents. Also I did not write the script for this one, this was provided by our school.
