    Is Ghana Ready For A Grammy?

    Nana Kwame (Nockus) is a famous radio presenter known from Ghana’s top radio station for the youth, YFM Ghana. He is one of the founding fathers of new music in Ghana by making way for previously underground artists like Shatta Wale. Grammy award winners Burna Boy and Wizkid made a name for Nigeria ans African artists all over the world by winning at the 63rd Grammy Awards on March 14th, 2021. Ghana and Nigeria are like brothers as English speaking countries in West Africa, mostly dominated by surrounding French countries. In this episode we talk about if Ghana is ready to receive a Grammy. We also dive into the music industry and why there is not a lot of Ghanaian music played outside the country as much compared to Nigerian and South African music.     Wumi Spell is an exentric and talented Afropop/Trap/HipHop artist from Nigeria and has two EPs out “Tutorials” and “Isolated” you can listen to both.
