We Own A Piece Of Warriors History
We had to take a little break from recapping Warriors games but we're back. Our absence can be attributed to changes in our lives, but also because the Warriors have been on a very demoralizing run of losses. Without Steph Curry, who had an extended absence due to runner's knee, the Dubs lacked the firepower to outscore pretty much all of their opponents, result in a recurring situation where the team would start well but lose the game in the third quarter. In this episode we recap our overall impressions of the last few games. In addition, we talk about an exciting addition to our Warriors shrine: a one-of-a-kind piece of Warriors history. Can The Season Get Any Worse?
We've been gone for a few episodes due to unworkable filming conditions (read: a severe heatwave in San Francisco), but we're back with a recap of the last few games on the Warriors' recent roadtrip. Sadly, it has been largely a roadtrip of severe, frustrating, and demoralising losses. To go through game-by-game and recap each individal one would be an effort in mental health self-sabotage, so we didn't do that. Instead we picked out some key moments and discussed them more broadly, while also taking a wider view of the roadtrip as a whole and looking at what remains of the Warriors season, what the return of Steph could mean, and, of course, more Giannis trade rumors. From Bad To Worse
The Warriors should have secured at least two victories against the three team it recently played to move the team into a better place in the standings but, as we approach the home stretch of the season, the Dubs lost all three games. Although one of them was expected, given that it was against the reigning champions OKC Thunder, the losses to the Jazz and Bulls--two teams that are tanking--was a big blow to morale. In addition to that, news that Steph Curry will be out for another 10 days, which amounts to five games, has become a dark cloud over the immediate future for the team. In this episode we recap the last three games and talk about what went wrong, while also looking to the future. Warriors Pull Off SHOCKING Win Against Rockets
After a number of disappointing games, the expectation was that the Golden State Warriors vs. Rockets would be a one-sided game. The Warriors were not expected to win against the third seed Houston Rockets, and certainly not in a heart-pounding overtime situation. The Dubs had the majority of their star players out due to injury, while the Rockets were at fall strength. It came as a shock, then, that the Warriors managed to pull off a very unlikely victory. The team came together to play good basketball, keeping the intensity high and making smart adjustments. LJ Crier served as an unexpected source of points, with DeAnthony Melton bouncing back and Brandin Podziemski, while Al Horford continued to be a rock for the still depleted team. What's Happening To The Warriors? | Lakers & Clippers Reaction
Over the last couple of games the Golden State Warriors made the trip to LA to take on the Lakers and Clippers. Unfortunately, both games ended with the Dubs adding two more losses to their record. As Steph Curry's injury continues to plague him, keeping him out for an extended period of time, and Porzingis's illness also prevents him from playing, the remaining players have faced an uphill struggle in trying to secure wins. In the Lakers game, the Warriors took a severe beating, offering little to no resistance and never coming close to being a threat to the Luka and LeBron-led team. In the Clippers game, what started off strong with a comfortable lead by half-time quickly unraveled in the second half, with the Warriors ultimately throwing away a lead and taking another loss. In this episode we recap both games and look ahead to what awaits Dubnation. Let's break it down! Give us a like and hit the subscribe button to make sure you get every new episode as it's released. Dubs Blowout Grizzlies To Build Confidence Again
The Warriors really needed a confidence-building game and, thankfully, the team's matchup against the Grizzlies went entirely their way. The team came together in a way that they struggled to against the Pelicans, moving the ball and shooting well. There was a strong energy and a force of will, despite being shorthanded. The Dubs came out swinging in the first-quarter, with Horford anchoring the team and ensuring that they built and maintained the lead. Multiple other players contributed in double digits, with Podz, Richard, Moody, Spencer, Santos, and Payton contributing in all regards to keep the momentum going and the lead widening. Leons, a rarely seen rookie, also took the court and performed well on offense and defense. Let's break it down! Dubs Lose It In The First Quarter Against Pels
The one thing you can say about the Golden State Warriors right now is that they are consistently inconsisteny, and that much as proven to be true agains the Pelicans. After a sensational victory against Jokic and the Nuggets, the Dubs fell to the Pelicans--one of the poorer performers in the league. It all happened in the first quarter, where stone cold shooting and an infuriating amount of turnovers gifted the Pelicans a lead big enough that they managed to keep the Warriors on the back foot for the remainder of the game. Although Melton, Santos, and Moody managed to get the team to take the lead at one point, this was very brief and before long the Dubs were back trying to climb out of a hole. Sadly, that wasn't possible. Let's break it down! Give us a like and hit the subscribe button to make sure you get every new episode as it's released. Podz Has Explosive Fourth Quarter Against Nuggets
Having just blown out the Trailblazers, the Denver Nuggets looked set to secure another win by taking down the Warriors. Surprisingly, things didn't quite go that way as the Dubs bench became the starting lineup and the deep bench became the bench. With Steph on the sidelines and Draymond unexpectedly being taken out of the lineup at the last second, it fell on Al Horford to anchor the team, which he did by sinking threes and spacing the floor. Moses Moody found his form again, contributing 23 points to the box score and constantly remaining a threat over all four quarters. Melton, Will Richard, and Gui also contributed, ending the game in double digit scoring, as did GP2 who had a solid three-point shooting night. The star of the show, however, was Podz. Although he was on track to have one of his worst performances this season, he turned it on and dominated the game, keeping the Nuggets from making the comeback they were primed to do with Jokic having another outstanding night. Wild 4th Quarter Comeback Isn't Enough To Save Rough Porzingis Debut
The first game after the All-Star break didn't go the Warriors' direction in numerous ways. Although Porzingis made his debut, it wasn't a particularly strong one. And with news that Steph Curry's injury would keep him out a further 10 days, a dominant Celtics performance took the wind out of Dubnation's sails. However, it wasn't all bad. After a difficult three quarters filled with poor shooting and defensive breakdowns, the Warriors suddenly came together to mount an exciting comeback. Ultimately, it wasn't enough to secure a win, but it was small sign of life of the team. On this episode we talk about what and who went wrong, as well as take a look at what the Warriors need to do to try and hold their position or even climb the standings while Steph is out due to injury. Warriors Collapse After Strong Start Against Spurs
The last time the Warriors and the Spurs met the Dubs managed to pull off two unlikely victories against a team that is a favourite to make a deep playoff run. This time however, things didn't go the same way, even though the Warriors had a very strong start. The Spurs managed to extend their winning streak to six games with a comeback that was enabled by the Warriors running out of steam in the second half. That being said, various members of the Warriors team fought hard and the team overall indicated that they're in fighting shape. The big question now is whether that can translate to more wins and a playoff run when Steph Curry returns and Porzingis makes his debut. In this epise we recap how the Spurs made its 16-point comeback in the second half and why the Warriors weren't able to stay ahead to secure another victory. Additionally, we look at what the future holds for the team in terms of lineup and likelihood of performance as a whole. Let's break it down! Warriors Pull Off Crazy Ending For A Bad Performance
The Golden State Warriors returned home to take on the Memphis Grizzlies and, for the most part, put on an ineffective, passionless performance that saw the team barely stay within recovery range of the Grizzlies for three quarters. However, in the final stretch the Dubs went on a run and, with a little help from a Grizzlies shooting slump as well as a more active defense, managed to pull of a comeback that was enough to secure a victory. In particular, the very final play of the game had people on the edge of their seats, with a combination of Al Horford and Gui Santos managing to rescue the team from taking another Loss. What Went Wrong Against Lakers?
After an exciting unlikely win against the Suns, Dubnation was hoping that the Warriors could put on another surprising upset against the Lakers. Without Jimmy and Steph, bench players graduated to the starting lineup, but they weren't able to get another for the win column. The loss was primarily due to struggles with offense, particularly the three-point shots, which meant the team couldn't stay in the game in the second half. A few layups were also missed, which added up and, unfortunately, the fouls set the tone for the second half, giving the Lakers plenty of shots from the free throw line. There were a couple of bright spots: Pat Spencer put on a great performance in his first game since being converted to a full NBA contract. Moody had a double digit scoring performance. Warriors SHOCK Suns In Gutsy Win
It's been a rollercoaster of emotions for the Warriors team and Dubnation, with trades happening and a showdown agains the Phoenix Suns immediately following. The Warriors managed to pull of a gutsy win against the Suns after rallying in the second half. Leading the charge was Gui Santos, who had one of his best games this season. Pat Spencer also reached a career high, with Melton, Horford, Moody, and Richard ensuring the intensity was kept up and the defense remained solid. Of course, the trade deadline passed and the Warriors said goodbye to Kuminga, Buddy, and TJD. The organization added a seven-foot center in Kristaps Porzingas, who could move the needle provided he manages to actually take the floor consistently. Steph-less Warriors Get Blown Out By 76ers
Steph Curry sat out the game against the 76ers and, like the rest of Dub Nation, had to watch his team get blown out in what can only be described as a tragic performance. The energy was bad and it showed in the stats, with the Warriors setting a record low for 2-point attempts and free throws. It's hard to highlight anything positive about the performance as it was clear from the get-go that things were very off. Passing was sloppy, shooting was inconsistent, and the team struggled to get into the paint for layups. Things aren't looking very positive for the Warriors currently, which leaves all eyes fixed on the trade deadline. Let's break it all down. Dubs Compete Hard But Come Up Short Against Pistons
The Pistons are the No.1 team in the East and, although the Warriors fought hard, they were able to beat the Warriors pretty handily. That's not to say it was a steamrolling, as the Warriors came back in the second half with a competitive fire and almost made a comeback. Naturally, Steph Curry was a big part of that, despite not having a great three-point shooting night--that reliability came from Draymond Green. The bench, including Buddy, Gui, Pat, helped move the ball and get stops, then quickly moved into transition to capitalize. The Warriors scored 60 points in the second half, but the hole they dug themselves was too much to climb out of. Also relevant this episode is the ongoing trade rumors surrounding Jimmy Butler. Warriors Get A Feel Good Win Against Jazz
To finish up the roadtrip the Warriors headed to Utah to take on the Jazz. This was a high-energy game where both the Dubs and the Jazz were focused on transition buckets. The team were being liberal with three-pointers and multiple people made them but, naturally, the most consistent player making threes was Steph Curry, who was moving well after missing the last game. If there was any question about whether De'Anthony Melton is back to full strength, you only need to watch his defensive performance and constant drives to the rim to see he's feeling good. Buddy started to look like the Buddy we know, love, and want more consistently by being careful about turnovers and taking better shots. Draymond also locked up Markkanen, limiting his points and his defensive effort was complimented by Al Horford's efforts too. Let's break it all down! Depleted Warriors Get Blown Out
The Warriors took on the Timberwolves for the second time in a row and, this time, it was the Dubs on the receiving end of the blowout. Without Steph, Draymond, Horford, Melton, and Jimmy, the squad wasn't able to stand their ground against a bigger Timberwolves team. Although the team played hard and stayed in the game in the first quarter, the lack of shot-making meant that, when the Timberwolves started pulling away, the hole just got deeper and deeper. Of the many issues, Buddy's performance stood out as particularly poor for a player that specializes in three-point shooting. Let's break it all down! Steals Help Dubs Get Win Over Timberwolves
The Warriors took on the Timberwolves, the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season, and things went very differently this time. Although Curry started off as being questionable due to a knee issue, he took the court and showed off he's as efficient as ever, scoring 26 points in 25 mins. The usual suspects from the excellent bench squad provided a strong backbone for the team, with Moody contributing 19 points overall, with his scoring flurry beginning in the first quarter to give the Warriors an early leg up. Al Horford's five rebounds and two assists, along with Draymond's five rebounds and assists set the defensive tone, with the rest of the team following their lead, delivering a high-energy, physical resistance to the Timberwolves. Warriors Situation Goes Bad To Worse
Although it was a historic night for Stephen Curry, who passed 10,000 threes, it was ultimately a frustrating one for the team as a whole as they take their second loss in a row since the loss of Jimmy Butler, this time to the Dallas Mavericks. Although the Warriors were leading midway through the 4th quarter, an untimely and questionabler flagrant foul call on Draymond Green instigated a downwards spiral that ultimately meant the Warriors couldn't hold on to the lead. With the game running away from them, the numerous missed layups up until that point made all the difference. The big story, however, was an ankle and knee injury for Kuminga, who was the one lifeline Dubnation was looking to in the post-Butler world. His status going forward is questionable. Kuminga Returns In Rough Loss Against Raptors
The Toronto Raptors came to Chase desperate for a win, having lost to both the Lakers and Clippers. Their hunger translated to giving the Golden State Warriors their toughest loss of the season so far, as the Dubs faced the new normal without Jimmy Butler. Unfortunately, a tragic ACL injury has ruled out Jimmy for the remainder of the season, calling into question what the Warriors are capable of now, and whether Jimmy will wear a Dubs jersey again. The big story for the Warriors, and a small light in a very dark tunnel, was the return of Jonathan Kuminga. In his first game since December 18, Kuminga provided a massive spark off the bench, scoring 20 points in just 21 minutes. Although the Warriors were down by as much as 30 at one stage, Kuminga's 12-point third-quarter explosion briefly brought the Warriors back into the mix. With Jimmy Butler now out for the season with a torn ACL, the Warriors' trade deadline plans for Kuminga have suddenly become the most interesting storyline in the NBA. Let's break it down! Warriors Dominate Heat But Jimmy Butler Suffers Scary Injury
The Golden State Warriors pulled off a big win tonight against the Miami Heat at the Chase Center. Steph Curry dished 11 assists and Brandin Podziemski led scoring off the bench, but the story of the night was Jimmy Butler's scary knee injury in the 3rd quarter. Butler was playing great—scoring 17 points before going down awkwardly after catching a pass. He immediately grabbed his right knee and had to be helped off the court, unable to put any weight on it. The team later ruled him out for the remainder of the game, and an MRI is expected to determine the severity. The injury overshadowed what was otherwise a highly competitive matchup between two playoff-tested teams. Butler's absence was clearly felt, but the Warriors capitalized on being motivated by the loss and closed the game with poise and confidence. Let's break it down! Melton Is Having His Moment As Warriors Surge
The Warriors played host to the Hornets at Chase as the homestand continues and, thankfully, the winning streak remained unbroken. Although the Hornets aren't doing particularly well, they were coming off a victory agains the Lakers, giving them a much-needed confidence boost that made them potentially deadly. However, the Warriors continued its trend of solid play on defense, that's converted to good efforts and execution on offense. Although Steph Curry looks to be firmly in the midst of a mid-season slump, he still contributed. Jimmy Butler was unexpectedly out of the game, but that didn't knock the Dubs off their game, as De'Anthony Melton delivered another electrifying performance, and Buddy Heild, Draymond, Podz, Moody, and Will Richard stepped up on both ends. The Streak Continues With Win Over Knicks
The Warriors faced their toughest challenge yet on the homestand by going up against the visiting New York Knicks, who were second in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks have since dropped down to third behind the Cletics after being defeated by the Dubs. What started off with the worrying return of turnovers quickly stabalized thanks to consistent three-point shooting from Moses Moody and another excellent effort from Jimmy Butler. Although Steph Curry had a rough first half, his shooting returned to form in the second. Off the bench Melton continued to be a rocks-teady foundation for defense. Warriors Get A Feel Good Win Over Trailblazers
The Warriors were due a feel-good win and that's exactly what they got when the Portland Trailblazers entered Chase Arena. The support, however, came from multiple other players that, together, paved the way for a blowout win. Warriors Get Outplayed By New-Look Hawks
The goal: Win all the upcoming home games to put the Warriors in a stronger position in the standings. After two wins in a row, the Warriors took on the Atlanta Hawks and were thoroughly outplayed by a team that, on paper, they should beat. However, after trading Trae Young, the new talent showed they are a much better team than most would think. Whily Curry, Butler, and Melton put on great performances, the lack of any major offense threat meant that their efforts were unfortunately in vain. Joining Steph were Melton and Horford, who both came off the bench to be major contributors, with the former making threes in critical moments and the latter delivering rebound after rebound. Bad Shooting & Bad Officiating Result In Warriors Loss
The Warriors lost to the Clippers by one point in a game that continued the trend of awful officiating by NBA refs against the Warriors. A clear goaltend as well as a call on continuation resulted in Steve Kerr being ejected. While the Warriors played exceptionally well, the team's shooting woes kept them from running away with the game. And while they remained competitive, they weren't able to secure a victory that would have been comfortably earned if the refs had made correct calls. Draymond Ejected, Curry Leads Dubs To Win Against Jazz
It will come as no shock that the Warriors' game against Jazz featured Draymond Green getting multiple technicals and being ejected. What may surprise you, however, is that Draymon's anger was arguably justified, even if his actions weren't the smartest. Despite the early-game ejection of the Warriors' defensive mastermind, the team managed to secure a victory in large part due to extra effort from Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler III. The Jazz, clearly having studied the tape on individual players as well as how the Warriors play collectively, put up a good fight and, at various points, looked poised to take the lead and win. Thankfully, solid play from a variety of players maintained control. In this episode we break down what happened, with attention given to standout players like GP2 and Podz, as well as Melton. Warriors Starterless Game Against OKC Ends Predictably
The first game of 2026 for the Golden State Warriors was agains the reigning champions the OKC Thunder and minutes before the game any hopes of a surprise victory were dashed as the Dubs revealed all their key starters would not be playing. Without Steph, Jimmy, and Draymond, as well as Melton, the bench had a lot to shoulder and, expectedly, they weren't ablle to carry the team to an upset. The Warriors were blown out by OKC, despite a decent start. The bigger point of discussion on this epsiode, however, is a quote from Steve Kerr about the Warriors place within the current league and the teams chances against the likes of OKC and Spurs. Warriors End 2025 With A Win Against Hornets
The Golden State Warriors closed out the year with a win against the Charlotte Hornets, finishing its three-game roadtrip with two wins and one loss. Although the game against the Hornets wasn't exactly smooth sailing, the trend of the Dubs showing incrimental improvements continued with tighter play and overall better shooting. The team went up against the same challenges in turnovers, Steph being doubled, and being picked up with pressure at full court, and seem to show that they're making some progress in sealing up those weaknesses. It wasn't an examplary performance, but it was heartening enough. This, in large part, was thanks to solid play from Steph, Podz, Jimmy, and Gui anchoring the team, with great contributions from other members of the squad. Warriors Bounce Back With Win Over Nets
After a frustrating loss to the Raptors the Warriors took on the Brooklyn Nets on the second part of a back-to-back. Despite playing hard the night before, Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler III took to the court and put on an excellent performance, leading the Dubs to a win. That win, however, was just as much a result of solid play from TJD, Gui Santos, Pat Spencer, BP, Will Richard, and DeAnthony Melton, who made sure to hustle and do their best to maintain some control over the game. Warriors Turnovers Hand Win To Raptors
The Warriors returned to a familiar situation against the Raptors by keeping the majority of the game under control, building a good runway to secure a victory. However, in classic Dubs fashion the team quickly fell apart in the third quarter, allowing the Raptors to dominate the game and capitalize off their many turnovers; while allowing Barnes to control the rebound game. Ultimately, the Warriors dropped another winnable game in a way that was frustrating to watch and no doubt even worse to play in. There were a number of key performances that seemed to pave the way to a victory and some devastating plays that all but handed the Raptors the win. In this episode we vent our frustration with a Warriors team that seems to want to be nothing more than a mediocre team that refuses to learn important lessons. The Warriors Situation Is Looking Dire
In a familiar outcome, the Golden State Warriors lost yet another game, this time to the Phoenix Suns. Although it wasn't a blowout and the Dubs lost by just one point, the team was plagued by the same issues that has led to their decline over the last few games: turnovers. Although Butler managed to keep the Dubs in the game until the end, ultimately a lack of contribution from anyone outside of Podz meant that they weren't able to secure a victory.
