    Yunuen Trujillo is an immigration attorney, a faith-based community organizer, and a lay minister. She has over 15 years of experience in young adult ministry and is a leading figure in inclusive Catholic LGBT ministry in the U.S. She currently serves as the religious formation coordinator for the Catholic Ministry with Lesbian and Gay Persons of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and is the founder of the Instagram account @LGBTCatholics. She gave a keynote address at the 2025 Ignatian Family Teach-in for Justice.

    Father Gregory Boyle, S.J., is the founder of Homeboy Industries in LosAngeles, the largest gang-intervention, rehabilitation, and re-entry program in the world. Fr. Boyle is the author of the 2010 New York Times-bestseller “Tattoos on the Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion” and has written numerous books since then. In 2014, President Obama named Fr. Boyle a Champion of Change. He gave a keynote address at the 2025 Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice.

    Monique Trusclair Maddox | IFTJ 2023 Keynote Speaker

    Monique Trusclair Maddox is the CEO of the Descendants Truth & Reconciliation Foundation. She is a fifth- and sixth-generation granddaughter of Isaac Hawkins and a fourth-generation granddaughter of Nace Butler, two of the 272 men, women, and children who were enslaved by the Maryland Jesuits and eventually sold in 1838 in an effort to save Georgetown University from financial ruin. She gave a keynote address at the 2023 Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice.

    Marcia Chatelain is a scholar of race and ethnicity in America and a national speaker on race, gender, and ethnicity. In 2016, the Chronicle of Higher Education named her a Top Influencer in academia in recognition of her social media campaign #FergusonSyllabus, which implored educators to facilitate discussions about the crisis in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014. She gave a keynote address at the 2019 Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice.

    Nichole Flores, Ph.D., is an associate professor of religious studies at the University of Virginia.     Bishop George Murray, S.J. | IFTJ 2018 Keynote Speaker

    Bishop George Murray, S.J., entered the Jesuits in 1972 and served as an educator in various Jesuit institutions until Pope John Paul II named him a bishop in 1995. He served in various leadership roles in United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, including as chairman of the committee against racism. He delivered a keynote address at the 2018 Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice.

    Sr. Patricia is a member of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur and served on the Provincial Leadership Team for her community. She was trained by Crossroads in anti-racism and serves as the national co-chair on her community’s anti-racism team. She was the full-time president of the National Black Sisters’ Conference from 1996-2001 and gave a keynote address at the 2017 Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice.

    Simone Campbell, an attorney and Sister of Social Service, is the Executive Director of NETWORK, a Catholic leader in the global movement for justice and peace that educates, organizes and lobbies for economic and social transformation. As an attorney, she represented low-income people for 18 years in California, where she founded a community-based law center.     Fr. Fred Kammer, S.J., celebrated 60 years in the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 2023. He is known for his work in social ministries, publications on Catholic social teaching and as the former provincial of the former New Orleans Province (from 2002 to 2008). He is currently in residence at Immaculate Conception Parish in Baton Rouge, where he works in social and pastoral ministries.
