Wicky MUST stop the bleeding - Shades of Blue
The ugly results keep pouring in for Sporting KC. Most recently, a 6-0 dismantling in which SKC scored an own goal where three of their players were the last to touch the ball. Truly, utterly, embarrassing. So how long does Wicky have? No, he isn't the entire problem. No, this roster won't be great with a different coach. But Raphael Wicky simply MUST show he is capable of stopping the bleeding, or move aside for someone who can. At a certain point, the club needs to show fans that there is a minimum standard which is acceptable around here. They wouldn't need to find the new answer for coach right away either... Don't forget about Dom Kinnear on the staff. He's got immense experience in this league and can easily slide right in as an interim manager. What do you think? How long does Wicky have? A Pile of Ash - Shades of Blue
We thought we were prepared for a rough season, but that didn't make a 3-0 loss on Matchday 1 any easier. It was the first look at the Wicky Way and how he will approach this season. For the first 40 minutes, they showed a bit of that. But the wheels quickly fell off. Sporting KC wasn't done burning things down and just before the first game they traded away Daniel Salloi to Toronto FC. There are now just 4 players on this roster who played for SKC two years ago. ESPN drops Sunday Night Baseball for "Women's Sports Sundays". Over 75,000 people watched LAFC shutout Lionel Messi and Inter Miami 3-0 to kick off the season. S9:E8 Learn more about your ad choices.
