Reflection On the Scripture Ep 32: What's Going On In The Middle East?

The middle east has been plagued with wars for generations and in today's time we see the conflict heating up to an all-time high. Pastor Taylor does his best to guide you through what the bible has to say about the middle east as it pertains to Isarael.  Deuteronomy 20:1-4 “When you go out to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. And when you draw near to the battle, the priest shall come forward and speak to the people and shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel, today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them, for the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.’Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 31: Exploring The Ancient World

There will be no peace amongst men in the land of the living until the Lord God Jesus Christ returns to free man from his own damnation. Until then there will be conflict, wars. and disagreements. Pastor Taylor draws light to these issues and many others using the word of God.  The Glory of God in His Goodness to IsraelTo the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. A Song.6826 Bless God in the congregations,The Lord, from the fountain of Israel.27 There is little Benjamin, their leader,The princes of Judah and their [j]company,The princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali.28 [k]Your God has commanded your strength;Strengthen, O God, what You have done for us.29 Because of Your temple at Jerusalem,Kings will bring presents to You.30 Rebuke the beasts of the reeds,The herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples,Till everyone submits himself with pieces of silver.Scatter the peoples who delight in war.31 Envoys will come out of Egypt;Ethiopia will quickly stretch out her hands to God.32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth;Oh, sing praises to the Lord, Selah33 To Him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which were of old!Indeed, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice.34 Ascribe strength to God;His excellence is over Israel,And His strength is in the clouds.35 O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people.Blessed be God!Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 30: The Great Divide

The division amongst Christians has been a regularly used tactic from Satan himself to try and sabotage the army or God. Keeping people divided and in constant conflict with one another is an easy way to distract from the greatness of God. In today's episode Pastor Taylor once again bridges the gap between scripture and the current state of humanity.     2nd  Timothy 3 3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 29: The Different Scenes In The Book Of Revelations

The Book of Revelation is a widely debated book of the bible for its various predictions of the world yet to come. Pastor Taylor helps to shine light on the many different scenes and scenarios that will take place during this time. In the Book of Revelation, the apocalyptic hopes of the early Christian community find their clearest and most complete expression. Apocalypticism was not a new phenomenon among Christians; it was a well-established belief among Jews, who held that the coming of the kingdom of God would not be brought about by a gradual transformation but by a sudden intervention, when God would end the present age and establish his kingdom in the world made new. This conception of coming events is associated with the belief that prior to this future time, the struggle between the forces of good and evil will become more intense. As the evil powers grow stronger, they will inflict persecution and, in some instances, even death upon those who follow a course of righteousness. The struggle will eventually reach a climax, at which time God will intervene, destroy the forces of evil, and set up a new order in which the righteous will live for all time to come. The appearance of the Messiah will coincide with the coming of these events.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 28: LGBTQ in the Eyes of The Church

On this controversial episode Pastor Taylor tackle's, the sensitive topic of LGBTQ in the eyes of the Christian church through biblical perspective. One thing Pastor makes very clear is that we are all God's children, and no one should be shunned into excepting his love and understanding his word.  All things said in this episode do not reflect the overall views of The Kenilworth Baptist Church or Pastor Lawrence Taylor. This message is provided through the word of God and translated through Pastor Taylor. Leviticus 18:22 ~ You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.Leviticus 20:13 ~ If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.Jude 1:7 ~ Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.Romans 1:26-28 ~ For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.Mark 10:6-9 ~ But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 27: JUNETEENTH

WE'RE BACK!!                             After an unfortunate break Pastor Lawrence Taylor is back to drop weekly knowledge using the word of God and his devotion to it philosophy. On this weeks episode Pastor discusses "Juneteenth". He touches on some historical information and explains the status of slavery throughout human history.                                   " Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was made effective in 1863, it could not be implemented in places still under Confederate control. As a result, in the westernmost Confederate state of Texas, enslaved people would not be free until much later. Freedom finally came on June 19, 1865, when some 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state, were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as "Juneteenth," by the newly freed people in Texas. Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep: 26 Current State of the Music Ministry Pt. 2

Continuing the conversation from last week Pastor Taylor is joined by his producer Brian Stewart to get a youthful take on the subject. The Christian soundtrack has evolved many times over history and has branched off into multiple subgenres and groups of worship all under the same umbrella. Are all songs of today for God or against everything the church stands for? Have congregants grown numb to the word and only seek the entertainment through the music ministry or the choir? In this two part episode Pastor Taylor challenges you with these tough truths using the word of God to empower the message.  Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 24: Turmoil in the Church

As we seemingly get over the travesty that was Covid-19 the world was left in a much different state then before. Church was greatly affected among other routine activities but the linger effects have left damaging results. Members refusing to attend service, leave the church, and form new religions in the name of "healthy living." Pastor Taylor draws our attention to the scripture explains the turmoil that has existed in the church from the beginning of its existence.Ephesians 5: 22-33  Marriage like Christ and the Church22 Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. 24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, 26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church [q]in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. 28 So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; 29 for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, 30 because we are parts of His body. 31 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless, as for you individually, each husband is to love his own wife the same as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 23: Who is Jesus?

Diving back into the topic of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Pastor Taylor explains the vast debates surrounding the mystery of who Jesus is. Was he truly man? Was he the son of God? What were his features? Many conclusions have been made involving the savior but Pastor Taylor brings us to the scripture so we can pull straight from the source and gain a better understanding.Colossians 1New American Standard BibleThankfulness for Spiritual Attainments1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus [a]by the will of God, and Timothy [b]our brother,2 To the [c]saints and faithful brothers and sisters in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.3 We [d]give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have [e]for all the [f]saints; 5 because of the hope reserved for you in [g]heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, [h]the gospel 6 which has come to you, just as [i]in all the world also it is bearing fruit and increasing, even as it has been doing in you also since the day you heard it and [k]understood the grace of God in truth; 7 just as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow bond-servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf, 8 and he also informed us of your love in the Spirit.9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard about it, have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the [l]knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, [m]to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and [n]increasing in the [o]knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all power, according to [p]His glorious might, [q]for the attaining of all perseverance and [r]patience; joyously 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us [s]to share in the inheritance of the [t]saints in light. The Incomparable Christ13 [u]For He rescued us from the [v]domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of [w]His beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.15 [x]He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation: 16 for [y]by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He [z]is before all things, and in Him all things [aa]hold together. 18 He is also the head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19 For [ab]it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the [ac]fullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, whether things on earth or things in [ad]heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 22: Bloody Sunday

Pastor Taylor takes us back to another part of Americas dark past. Racism is nothing new to us but the level of violence we have endured is horrendous. Today marks the anniversary of Bloody Sunday, a march held in Selma, Alabama, in 1965 for the 600 people attacked on the Edmund Pettus Bridge. It was there that law enforcement officers beat unarmed marchers with billy clubs and sprayed them with tear gas.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 21: God's Invitation

Isaiah 55New King James VersionAn Invitation to Abundant Life55 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts,Come to the waters; And you who have no money,Come, buy and eat.Yes, come, buy wine and milkWithout money and without price.2 Why do you [a]spend money for what is not bread,And your wages for what does not satisfy?Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,And let your soul delight itself in abundance.3 Incline your ear, and come to Me.Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—The sure mercies of David.4 Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people,A leader and commander for the people.5 Surely you shall call a nation you do not know,And nations who do not know you shall run to you,Because of the Lord your God,And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.”6 Seek the Lord while He may be found,Call upon Him while He is near.7 Let the [b]wicked forsake his way,And the unrighteous man his thoughts;Let him return to the Lord,And He will have mercy on him;And to our God,For He will abundantly pardon.8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,So are My ways higher than your ways,And My thoughts than your thoughts.10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,And do not return there,But water the earth,And make it bring forth and bud,That it may give seed to the sowerAnd bread to the eater,11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me [c]void,But it shall accomplish what I please,And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.12 “For you shall go out with joy,And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hillsShall break forth into singing before you,And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree,And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name,For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 20: The Organized Church

Many people argue that they believe they don't want anything to do with organized church or religion. On today's episode Pastor Taylor offers push back on this specific topic and gives you're a better understanding using the scripture to guide us to the Lords intended message. Why the church is necessary, and why we should all gather as a congregation to offer our love and praises to God? What's the origin of the Church? Luke 1Introduction1 Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled[a] among us, 2 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. 3 With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, 4 so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 19: The Birth Of Jesus

The greatest gift to man outside of creation itself would be the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.  Pastor Taylor dissects the scripture to help you understand the true significance behind the birth of Jesus Christ. Matthew 1:18Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[a]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.1 Peter 1:3Praise to God for a Living Hope3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Reflection On the Scripture Ep 17: Is My Religion The Right Religion?

Pastor Taylor challenges you to question your beliefs and faith as we explore the never-ending question of " Which religion is the right religion?" Dr. Taylor deep dives into the scripture to paint a larger picture that God is displaying for us all.  Galatians 1:11-24Paul Called by God11 I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. 12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.13 For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it. 14 I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers. 15 But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased 16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being. 17 I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.18 Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas[a] and stayed with him fifteen days. 19 I saw none of the other apostles—only James, the Lord’s brother. 20 I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.21 Then I went to Syria and Cilicia. 22 I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. 23 They only heard the report: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” 24 And they praised God because of me.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 11: Government

This week Pastor delves into the forever controversial topic if world governments, and specifically the United States government and all the social outrage over elections and the appointed leader of the "free world". Pastor correlates the to the text of the bible to help paint a clear picture of what God said governments roles should be in the life of men amongst earth.  Romans 13:1-71 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended.4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing.7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 10: "Hebrews to Negroes" Why is It so controversial?

This week Pastor furthers his discussion on the controversial film "From Hebrew to Negroes". What depictions did the film exaggerate and   use to verbally attack and denounce other groups and organizations. To go as far as quoting "Hitler" himself. Pastor does touch on the parts of this documentary that do have some credible information but are lacking the credentials to validate these claims. Pastor gets into the issue behind putting g your trust into everything else but God. So are the ways of the world but the Lord is everlasting and eternal.  His love is more powerful than any hate speech or derogatory platform that uses slander and evil redirect. Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Sunday Service: Pay Homage to the Son. All The Nations

This Sunday Pastor Taylor delivers a Powerful sermon about paying homage to the Son translated through the book of Psalms and the book of Acts. God's love is everlasting for whomever accepts his son Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour shall not perish but have everlasting life. All praises to the Living God Our Saviour!Acts 4Prayer for Boldness23 And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. 24 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them, 25 who [c]by the mouth of Your servant David have said:‘Why did the nations rage,And the people plot vain things?26 The kings of the earth took their stand,And the rulers were gathered togetherAgainst the Lord and against His Christ.’27 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together 28 to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. 29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.Psalm 2New King James VersionThe Messiah’s Triumph and Kingdom2 Why do the nations rage,And the people plot a vain thing?2 The kings of the earth set themselves,And the rulers take counsel together,Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,3 “Let us break Their bonds in piecesAnd cast away Their cords from us.”4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,And distress them in His deep displeasure:6 “Yet I have set My KingOn My holy hill of Zion.”7 “I will declare the decree:The Lord has said to Me,‘You are My Son,Today I have begotten You.8 Ask of Me, and I will give YouThe nations for Your inheritance,And the ends of the earth for Your possession.9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings;Be instructed, you judges of the earth.11 Serve the Lord with fear,And rejoice with trembling.12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,And you perish in the way,When His wrath is kindled but a little.Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 9

Pastor Lawrence Taylor dives back into the controversial topic surrounding Kyrie Irving. This week Pastor brought himself up to speed with the film "Hebrews to Negroes" to understand why Kyrie has been demonized in the media and sports. Through scripture Pastor helps explain the geographical locations of the original Jews from the bible. Although the film has some misleading information it does NOT support Anti Semitism. The film throws slander on the Ashkenazi Jews of European decent. For more information Pastor will be breaking this down step by step to help you further understand the World God built for us. Numbers 12English Standard VersionMiriam and Aaron Oppose Moses12 Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman. 2 And they said, “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has he not spoken through us also?” And the Lord heard it. 3 Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all people who were on the face of the earth. 4 And suddenly the Lord said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tent of meeting.” And the three of them came out. 5 And the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward. 6 And he said, “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. 7 Not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house. 8 With him I speak mouth to mouth, clearly, and not in riddles, and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” 9 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them, and he departed.10 When the cloud removed from over the tent, behold, Miriam was leprous,[a] like snow. And Aaron turned toward Miriam, and behold, she was leprous. 11 And Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, do not punish us[b] because we have done foolishly and have sinned. 12 Let her not be as one dead, whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes out of his mother's womb.” 13 And Moses cried to the Lord, “O God, please heal her—please.” 14 But the Lord said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut outside the camp seven days, and after that she may be brought in again.” 15 So Miriam was shut outside the camp seven days, and the people did not set out on the march till Miriam was brought in again. 16 After that the people set out from Hazeroth, and camped in the wilderness of Paran.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Sunday Service: Is Social Justice Part Of The Gospel

This Sunday Pastor Taylor debates the common question whether social justice should be part of the Gospel. Of course, Pastor sources straight from the word of God to help us understand what the Lord has to say about these subjects. There is nothing in or of this world that God hasn't made reference to in his word. Pastor Lawrence Taylor a messenger of the Lord helps translate the word in a way any human of any age can easily digest.  “Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute,” (Psalm 82:3). “Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, and please the widow's cause,” (Isaiah 1:17)Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 7

This week Pastor Taylor acknowledges all the religions of the world but explains what seperates the message of Christianity. The "Justification by Faith" doctrine explains the correlation between Judaism and Christianity and Pastor denounces the claims that Jesus was a Muslim.  Matthew 1 1:7  1 This is the genealogy[a] of Jesus the Messiah[b] the son of David, the son of Abraham:2 Abraham was the father of Isaac,Isaac the father of Jacob,Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,3 Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar,Perez the father of Hezron,Hezron the father of Ram,4 Ram the father of Amminadab,Amminadab the father of Nahshon,Nahshon the father of Salmon,5 Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab,Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth,Obed the father of Jesse,6 and Jesse the father of King David.David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife,7 Solomon the father of Rehoboam,Rehoboam the father of Abijah,Abijah the father of Asa,8 Asa the father of Jehoshaphat,Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram,Jehoram the father of Uzziah,9 Uzziah the father of Jotham,Jotham the father of Ahaz,Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,10 Hezekiah the father of Manasseh,Manasseh the father of Amon,Amon the father of Josiah,11 and Josiah the father of Jeconiah[c] and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.12 After the exile to Babylon:Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel,Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,13 Zerubbabel the father of Abihud,Abihud the father of Eliakim,Eliakim the father of Azor,14 Azor the father of Zadok,Zadok the father of Akim,Akim the father of Elihud,15 Elihud the father of Eleazar,Eleazar the father of Matthan,Matthan the father of Jacob,16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.17 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

    Sunday Service: Gods Divine Protection

Live as if you have been reconciled. The world is filled with hate a violence toward our fellow man and through Gods love the storm of chaos can be tamed. The devil who deceives us into throwing away our sense of morality and honor for God and commit horrific acts. through Gods word even the evilest heart can be restored. Isaiah Chapter 3 V 11-1511 Woe to the wicked!    Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back    for what their hands have done.12 Youths oppress my people,    women rule over them.My people, your guides lead you astray;    they turn you from the path.13The Lord takes his place in court;    he rises to judge the people.14 The Lord enters into judgment    against the elders and leaders of his people:“It is you who have ruined my vineyard;    the plunder from the poor is in your houses.15 What do you mean by crushing my people    and grinding the faces of the poor?”declares the Lord, the Lord AlmightyPastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 6

Why does man worship the GUN? Pastor Taylor breaks down the brief history and nuanced language used in the constitution that many people interpret the wrong way. The right to bear arms is NOT for the common man and Pastor Taylor breaks this down while simultaneously drawing inspiration from the gospel to further the point behind his overall message. God holds the true power over life and death, and only God can protect you from metaphysical attacks.   Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Is Christ the Center of Your Life

It's the duty of all Christians to put Christ at the center of your life. Good times or bad Christ should remain the anchor in your life to keep you grounded. Matthew 6:33 - But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.Romans 8:38-39 - For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

Reflection On the Scripture Ep 5

Pastor Taylor explains the second coming of Christ and all the false prophets that tried to predict the return of Jesus for his kingdom but were inevitably wrong. No man knows the day or the hour. Only God.  Matthew 24:36 - “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 - "For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord."Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church

    Sunday Service: Receive One Another

Pastor Taylor teaches this week from the book of Romans with the theme of the sermon being " Receive One Another".  Romans 14:1 "Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand."Romans 15:1 "We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. 2 Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. 3 For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”[a] 4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope."Pastor Lawrence Taylor of The Kenilworth Baptist Church
