We visit the Adams brothers from El Paso circa 1970's we listen to two groups "Wailing Wall" and "Kite".

Here is a look at Frankie Sotelo,Paul West and Andre Boniguidi. These three great musicians helped to define pop music in El Paso,Texas in the late 1960's and 70's.

A mini doc on Lafayettes' Music Room, a early 1970's premiere rock club. We feature live recordings of Kiss,Jerry Lee Lewis, Ramsey Lewis and Waylon Jennings among other rare recordings. This is followed by a great short story by Steven J. Weinberg called "Remembering Billy at the Club"

Memphis rock and R and B music in the late 60's thru the 70's. A look at three studios: American, Stax and Royal. A golden time for Memphis and a short story by SJ Weinberg "Letter From Memphis".

EL PASO ROCK-The rock scene in the late 1960's

Steve Arntson's "Goodbye, Boys and Girls" recorded in a Seattle bus tunnel and this is followed by Steven Jay Weinberg's short story "Learned Storyteller" and last a collage of field recordings featuring several Northwest guitar players.

We start this 3rd decade of WORDJAM with a dark tale "Day of the Dead" by Steven Jay Weinberg,sound design by Eric Leonardson and Steve Barsoti. This is followed by " The Six Legger" from a new CD by Eric and Steve entitled " Rarebit" Not only do they improv the tracks, they designed and built the instruments you hear here. In this episode Steven Jay Weinberg talks about an interesting boy in Bolivia and the moon in "Lunatic In Sutre". Pam Padgett talks about her new love, a horse named Sabertooth, finally Steven Arnston tells the story of King Ludd and plays a song "The Song that Contains King Ludd's Theme".

This WORDJAM features three instructors from The Art Institute of Seattle first Steven Jay Weinberg reads one of his stories "What the Boys Really Talk About" this is followed by a strange blues song "The Sherwood Blues" by Kenny Smith, next Steven Arnston plays his composition " A Medley of Old Songs" on his 30 button Anglo Concertina and finally Steven Jay reads from his Argentinian journal about two observations from his restaurant table.

PORT TOWNSEND,WASHINGTON-Steven Jay Weinberg and I recently drove to Port Townsend to check it out. We recorded a lot of stuff including Artis-The Spoonman, Leon Hendricks (Jimmy's little brother) and Jerry Miller formerly with Moby Grape. Along the way, we captured some local characters as well.
