Meanwhile, Carlton has beaten the Saints in the "Josh Ward Derby". Collingwood found their way onto the winners list while the Cats and Casey remain the other unbeaten sides after 2 rounds.

The Darebin Falcons trailed by 32 points at quarter time against Williamstown before some heroics by captain Stephanie Simpson saw them produce a stunning come-from-behind victory to open the season, she is our headline guest today! The Southern Saints have ended Collingwood's unbeaten run of wins at 16 while Essendon kept the Bulldogs scoreless at the Hangar.
