Wow!!!! We are up to part 4 in our series of exclusive samplers and this week we have an undeniably outstanding mix from one of our residents, the one and only Leigh Stone. Progressive all the way though. This pounding mix of upfront tracks is definitely one to whet your appitite for KICK:LONDON. More info about Leigh... Leigh has been a background player on the Progressive house music scene since the early nineties. He started his DJ career back in 1991 playing at some of the early warehouse events such as Raindance and then went on to perform in many clubs in and around London and Florida, with resedencies at Club UK in Wandsworth, Sunny Side Up in vauxhall and the Cameo Theatre in Miami. A respected member of the old guard, Leigh regularly gets mentions and props from some of the bigger names in the business. He was a DJ way before it was cool to be a "Superstar DJ" (Sigh!) and he was heavily influenced by the late 70's Disco and early 80's Jazz funk that he grew up with. He looks forward to the time when DJ'ing comes back down to earth and the grass roots, urban house parties start to rock the suburbs once more. For many reasons there will be no hype, no BS, and most of all, No standing still when Leigh is playing.! For Leigh, it's all about the music and being a DJ is far more about memorable nights, shared with friends and music lovers, than it is about making a career, or building a brand. A selfless enthusiasm for all things upbeat and driven has also seen him host guest mixes from such prestigeous talent as Norman H, Ian O'Donovan, The Hybrid Soundsystem and many of the Hybridized collective of DJ's, all of whom have supported Leigh because of an undeniable passion for sharing quality music. Internet Radio now gives Leigh a platform to express his twenty year obsession with progressive house and breaks, and, he's also started to venture back out to play the odd live appearence around London and Cambridge.
