"Kino with Khan" is a comedy-film podcast hosted by comedian/filmmaker Asif Mohammed Khan. Each week Asif invites a guest, usually someone who works in around the comedy or film industry (sometimes just a weird and interesting person), onto the pod for a little chat. Before recording, the guest chooses a film, something they love, hate, find seminal, or just want to force Asif to watch. Asif and his guest discuss chosen film, but are usually quickly derailed by shenanigans and whatever nonsense is bopping around the zeitgeist. This week Asif is joined by Comedian, Actor, Influencer, Vanessa Wong! For her film, Vanessa chose the 1994 Cult Classic, Oliver Stone's "Natural Born Killers. The film follows Mickey and Mallory, who love each other, have had a violent childhood. They murder her abusive father and then road-trip, during which they kill many people. The tabloid media glamourises them.A cult classic for a classic guest!

Episode 5: Tim To - "Young And Dangerous" (1996)
Kino with Khan is Back Baby!!And Back with a Bang!Asif Mohammed Khan is joined by off-the-wall Comedian, Writer, Actor, Tim To. For his film, Tim has chosen, the 1996 Hong Kong classic, Andy Lau's, "Young and Dangerous". The film follows Crime lord Chan Ho-nam alongside the members of the Hung Hing Triad take on the new and deadly member of the Tung Sing Triad. The film proves itself as one of Hong Kong cinema's most influential films.An iconic film with an iconic guest.

Episode 4: Osman Shibli - "Superman" (2025)
In the 4th Episode of "Kino with Khan", Asif is joined by one of the brightest young stars in comedy, Osman Shibli.Osman Shibli a rising star in British comedy with roots all across the world, and is capturing the comedy scene’s attention. Known for his distinctive blend of dry yet youthful wit and a laid-back stage presence, Osman has swiftly become a fan-favorite at clubs nationwide. He is also an accomplished filmmaker and writer, and as we find out in this episode, a DC comic academic. Naturally, as comic book afficianado, Osman chose for his film, James Gunn's "Superman""Superman" follows the caped hero as gets drawn into conflicts at home and abroad, his actions are questioned, giving tech billionare Lex Luthor the opportunity to get the Man of Steel out of the way for good. Will intrepid reporter Lois Lane and Superman's four-legged companion, Krypto, be able to help him before it's too late?

Episode 3: Munashe Majuru - "Soul Man"
In the third episode of "Kino with Khan", Asif is joined by long-time friend and collaborator, Musician, Actor, Writer, Munashe "Nash" Majuru. Nash is a musician and composer based in Brussels. He's composed for numerous films and adverts, as well as being a part of BWANA, a fantastic band that is currently on tour. Munashe also releases his own music with solo projects available on streaming. Munashe has also produced, written, and acted in numerous film projects, including "Maddie and Me" with Asif. For his film, Munashe chose the 1986 classic, "Soul Man""Soul Man" follows Mark Watson, a white man who after accepting a place at Harvard Law, finds himself unable to pay tuition. To fund his education, he "tints his skin" (goes full blackface) and recieves a scholarship. He then finds that beig black does lead to people treating him differently.

Episode 2: Isabella Charlton - "Rosemary's Baby"
In the second episode of "Kino with Khan", Asif is joined by comedian/writer/actress, Isabella Charlton! Isabella is an internationally touring comedian who has performed in London, New York, LA, Hong Kong, and more! Her solo shows have sold out at the Edinburgh and Melbourne Fringe. She is also an accomplished writer and actress, and for her film she chose the 1968 classic, "Rosemary's Baby".Rosemary's Baby, follows a young couple who are trying for a baby, as they move into an ornate building in New York. The couple find themselves surrounded peculiar, elderly, and occult neighbours. A real doozy of a film!

Episode 1: Arthur Studholme - "Zardoz"
In the first episode of Kino with Khan, Asif is joined by longtime friend and collaborator, Arthur Studholme. Arthur is a director, filmmaker, comedian, and writer, having directed and written a slew of comedy sketches, and adverts, he's also at the forefront of absurdist comedy. In that tradition, the film Arthur chose to discuss was the 1974, sci-fi, cult-classic, "Zardoz", written and directed by John Boorman. "Zardoz" takes place in th late 23rd century. A savage (Sean Connery) trained only to kill, finds his way into the community of bored immortals that alone preserve humanity's achievements. A super weird film, fitting of a conversation with Arthur, and leads to an incredibly fun and bizarre chat. A pefect first episode.
