My Favorite Photo by Romualdas Požerskis

Little Alfonsas and Raminta on the shore of the Baltic Sea. I highly recommend  Romualdas's book "Little Alfonsas." It's one of the best photo collections I have ever seen. You can buy it here. It's only fifteen euros!

Graffeo Coffee, The Avengers, The Artist's Way

Just getting back in the Wild Bubble groove. A Saturday morning smorgasbord.

FRISCO News and They Don't Call It AI Slop for Nothing

I was researching an episode for FRISCO: The Secret History and I asked Google Gemini to summarize the fallout from the Atherton Report of 1937 and  it listed several true things, but it then spun a tragic story of a policeman's suicide/murder of his family out of thin air. It took me several prompts to get Gemini to admit it was lying. What is it good for?

  5. 918

Book Review: David Bowie and the Search for Life, Death, and God

Simply one of the best books on Bowie I've ever read.

  6. 917

Why are we not supposed to speak ill of the dead?

This episode is mostly about my friend Tony Meilandt, who produced Herbie Hancock and The Fine Young Cannibals and died to young, but I do mention a guy named Barlow who was one of the biggest assholes i've ever encountered.

  7. 916

Are You Man Enough For David Bowie? Station To Station at 50

Ruminations on the first hearing of Station To Station.

Trump and the. Book of Daniel

I asked Google Gemini if this passage from the Old Testament prophesized Trump: “In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a fierce-looking king, a master of intrigue, will arise. He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy those who are mighty, the holy people. He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.”

On the Tenth Anniversary of His Passing—My Favorite David Bowie Story

A few thoughts and my favorite David Bowie story.

  12. 911

The Reason That I Am Alive

the reason that I am alive by Boris Vian the reason that I am alive the reason that I am alive for the tanned leg of a blonde woman propped against the wall beneath the round sun for the billowing sails of a sleek schooner at the mouth of the harbor the iced coffee sipped through a straw for the caress of sand gazing at the watery deeps turning so blue descending into the deeps with the fish the tranquil fish they calm the bottom of the ocean fly above the seaweed hair like slow birds like blue birds the reason that I am alive because it is beautiful

  13. 910

    What do babies know?

I think a whole bunch. A couple short vignettes.

  14. 909

AI is just another Ponzi scheme we are already paying for

I asked Photoshop to create an image of Artificial Intelligence eating the Earth. It gave me R2-D2 with spindly legs holding a globe. Well-done. This episode is about when I was researching New Year's Eve celebrations in San Francisco in the 1930s and 1940s. Google Gemini made up a store I spent hours researching trying to find a primary source, like a newspaper article. I pressed Gemini for attribution and it gave me fake links. It even gave me an actual picture and lied about what was going on in the picture. AI is bullshit.

  15. 908

    Snake Theater—Auto (1979)

One of the most amazing theatrical productions I've ever seen. Staged at an abandoned gas station in Sausalito in the summer of 1979. Links to videos at knoxbronson.com.

  16. 907

35 yrs since my last drink

Little did I know … what a wonderful life was in store for me.

  17. 906

KitKat, the San Francisco kitty killed by a Waymo taxi, has a crypto meme coin

How much did Waymo pay off the California public utilities commission to allow Waymo taxi cabs into San Francisco to block traffic and kill cats? And then the crypto degens move in like ghouls to create a Kit Kat meme coin. Stop the world I want to get off.

  18. 905

Who wants to ride in a driverless taxi?

The Rich are just trying to figure out how to take even more and leave us less. And it’s all a scam. AI is bullshit as are their robots and Robo taxis. The image with this podcast is where somebody apparently accidentally set fire to a Waymo taxi cab. I do not advocate for such disregard for safety measures.

  19. 904

Groucho Marx, Birth, Death, & Copulation

Random thoughts of mine & two jokes from one of the greatest comedians of the 20th century.

    Gurus and Timelines

Lots of wannabe gurus in this timeline.

Six sentences that make any woman instantly attracted to you

I wanted to share this article. I read on medium.com. As a favor to my listeners, I added my own six sentences that I think would work way better than the ones in the article. You’re welcome.

  22. 901

Thank you editor.B for buying my album “Pacifica” for $.50 on band camp

I set the price to “pay whatever you want” - this great album is available at knoxbronson.bandcamp.com and of course pay whatever you want for it.

  23. 900

I wish David Bowie had told us he was sick

    Thoughts on prayer and mortality

  25. 898

my new album, “Pacifica,“ is now available

It’s available at knoxbronson.bandcamp.com right now for free if you want. On streaming services Monday the 10th. It’s beautiful, and I love every minute of it, I hope you will too.

  26. 897

Epstein will take them all down

Epstein files? We have the survivors who can name all the names. Justice will be served.

  27. 896

Elmo and his big beautiful trillion dollar pay package

The trouble is, he’ll still be Elon Musk when he wakes up in the morning.

  28. 895

    prayer is personal

I’m sick of guys like Bono and Tim Cook trying to look pious

  29. 894

masterpieces still available: flapping, pixels, honeybun

Just a rundown of what is available from this living artist. I’ll be famous when I’m dead, but I can use your money now!

  30. 893

A hot dog to rock your world

I finally asked ChatGPT how to get great hotdog like Casper’s hotdog at home. It said you have to buy Casper’s hotdog in the store. Lo and behold I did and they are fantastic. The downside is I can’t eat them every day apparently. Like all processed foods, they should be eaten in moderation. Oh well, they’re delicious! I am not receiving any money for this recommendation. however, if Casper’s wants to reach out and hire me to be a spokesperson, I am happy to do so.

  31. 892

please lose the David Bowie shushing picture

I don’t know when it was taken or why, but it is antithetical to everything. David Bowie espoused and stood for.

  32. 891

do you ever think you have lost your mind?

The sucking vortex of need that resides in the office of the presidency is taking us to places I could never have imagined and can barely comprehend even with the evidence right in front of my eyes.

  33. 890

The little cloud that rolled over the Berkeley Hills and down to the bay

I swear it was not the acid! And yes, I did use AI to make the picture. Please forgive me.

    YouTube skews to the right

no matter how many times I tell youtube I’m not interested, it still displays two or three thumbnails of Charlie Kirk’s widow talking about how she’s going to carry on the crusade after his death.

  39. 884

raw sugar is total b.s. part 2

I was forced to use so-called raw sugar at the trendy Café in Oakland. Usually, I carry a supply of white sugar packets in my car for these occasions, but I was all out. The problem with the so-called raw sugar is that it’s not sweet and you have to use a lot more to get your coffee sweet and then you have the overpowering taste of the molasses which ruins the coffee. It’s just another form of virtue signaling, whose time has passed.

  40. 883

    Anton Fier RIP

Antone Fier was a session drummer and the founder of the golden Palomino’s and a member of any number of well known and influential experimental bands over the decades. Anton went to Switzerland for an assisted suicide at the age of 66 in 2022. I hope he is at peace now.

  41. 882

Trump’s birthday card for Jeffrey Epstein

It is the sickest thing I’ve ever read. These people are monsters. All of them. Once again, the cruelty is the point. With the little girls, it was never really about sex. It was about destroying dreams and hopes and lives. I don’t think the very rich can actually experience anything beyond sadistic pleasure.

  42. 881

Foodie Beauty and other YouTube Oddities

I stumbled into the foodie beauty ecosystem on YouTube. I wonder what other marvels are yet to be discovered. #foodiebeauty

  43. 880

Thoughts on Anthony Scaramucci and Stormy Daniels

Let's remember this: there are no innocents in Donald Trump's orbit. Period.

Just a little update about things being in motion.

  46. 877

    OZZY!

A couple quick anecdotes about meeting the Prince of Darkness over the years. Another lovable madman gone.

  47. 876

    I'm In Hell

People drunk and on drugs are so weird. I hate fireworks. I hate my neighbors. I can't figure out how many weirdos are over there. I'm trapped at the moment. Monkey Blue is freaked out and hiding. With luck, the fireworks will run out (it's been four hours) and they'll get bored and pass out.

  48. 875

Why Did You Have To Smile At Me? with French horns.

pretty much done, just need to rerecord guitar, voice, horn parts, mix and master. Enjoy!
