Konocti Fire Talk

We travel with a team from local tribes, Cal Fire, the Bureau of Land Management and county government as they execute a complex prescribed pile burn in a heavily forested area at the edge of the wild land urban interface. This is a follow up to short video we posted after the burn took place on April 16, 2025.

At the Konocti Fire Safe Council's annual Firewise Summit, Lake County Supervisor Jessica Pyska reported on how grant funding is drying up in our community and how that threatens our work to make the community more fire resilient. In a follow up episode, we have an in depth conversation with supervisor Pyska about the latest developments.
