Primary elections are coming up for the federal, state, and local level. This week on "Off the Record" we're broadcasting an election special to hear from Democratic candidates running for Colorado Governor and Senate. We hear from gubernatorial candidates: Phil Weiser, Michael Bennet, and Erik Underwood, as well as candidates for Senate: John Hickenlooper, Karen Breslin, and Julie Gonzales. The candidate forum was hosted Colorado Democratic Party in March 2026.

According to the CDC, nearly half of women and 1 in 6 men in the United States experience sexual violence in their lifetimes. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and this week on "Off the Record" we talking with folks from the San Miguel Resource Center and Telluride Regional Medical Center about sexual violence, resources available in the community, and what we can all do to create safer communities for everyone.
