When a setback at work happens, the only response is to bounce back and work to prevent it from happening again. Setbacks are merely a speed bump, not a gaping hole that you disappear into. If you’re not praying without ceasing, things will never progress. Your communication with God is powerful; without prayer, you’ll never be as close to God as you’d like.

In comic books, superheroes exist. But just because there’s someone who can champion for you doesn’t change the fact that crime happens. The mere presence of a hero doesn’t eliminate evil; the victor taking ACTION does. Today, Bishop Lance says that when you’re fully aligned with the will of God, your life will significantly improve. Although it doesn’t mean that your trials will go away, it means that you can have victory over them. Like a superhero, taking action and knowing God helps you win against the enemy.

To pass an exam, especially in higher education, it’s extremely important to know and UNDERSTAND the material. If you memorize the answers, you will never truly learn, and it will affect your education and career. In today’s message, Bishop Lance says that to know the things of God, you should have the Spirit of Him within you. Having the Spirit within you includes a lot more than just believing; it’s completely abiding in Him, and living according to His Word. Do you center your life around God?

When signing a contract, it’s normal to anticipate what’s included in it. You know what you’re going to get, so you can’t question it. With God, you have a covenant with Him, so all you can do is trust that He will provide. In today’s message, Bishop Lance says to be aware of what God has prepared for you in life. You can know who Jesus is, and not commit yourself to a changed life in Him. Instead, you need to recognize that you’re a sinner in need of a Savior. Admit that and be changed!

This life will bring trials and tribulations. Even as children of God, we’re not free from the sin that has a grip on this world. We aren’t immune to the consequences of our own or someone else’s sins. But the difference between believers and non-believers is our foundation in the Word! Have you ever started a job that you knew you weren’t qualified for? You interviewed well and figured that with the right training, you would be able to figure it out along the way. Have you ever been so wrapped up in your own blessings that you don’t see the person falling apart right in front of you? The desperate cry you walk past every single day because your hands are full of your own stuff. God didn’t pile blessings on you so you could tune out pain; He filled you so you’d have something to pour out.

We spend our whole lives before Christ in sin…so consequently, we act like the evil and grotesque sin that we commit. In today’s message, Bishop Lance will infer that if we act like sin when we're surrounded by sin, then won’t we act like Jesus when we’re surrounded by Jesus?! The more time you spend with Jesus, the more time you spend reading His Word, the more you will be molded and shaped to look like Him and act like Him! When you accept Him as your Lord and Savior, stepping onto the path right behind Him, you’re taking on that mantle. You are commissioned. As Bishop Lance challenges us in today’s message, we need to get out of the church pew, as wonderful as that spot is, and start carrying the Gospel to the lost, bringing them into the powerful arms of Jesus.

We have a purpose as believers. God designed all of humanity for this purpose. We were made to glorify Him with everything we have, including our time and energy. Far too many of us are just enjoying the benefits of our salvation, while there’s a spiritual battle waging all around us. As Bishop Lance challenges us in today’s message, we need to step into the calling of God on our lives and live as though Jesus could come back tomorrow. The lost around us need to know the truth.

Have you ever come across a door you thought was locked, but when you tried the handle, you found out it was unlocked all along? Well, that’s a lot like the challenges that you will face in this life. Bishop Lance teaches you today about the friends of the crippled man who lowered him down from the ceiling to meet Jesus. While they could have seen the crowd surrounding Jesus and given up on their friend, they acted out of determination, and it was because of their faith that their friend received healing.

In the book of James, we are told that we do not have things we want or need because we have not asked for those things from God. The truth is that the Lord is a generous God, who wants to bless us, but we first need to have faith that He can and will provide for us. In today’s message, Bishop Lance reminds us that it is that small mustard seed of faith that causes God to move mountains on our behalf. He will give us whatever we need in this life, all we need to do is ask Him in faith.

See, we can try to build up big names for ourselves in this world, but those titles and accolades won’t carry over into the next life. Sure, you’ll be able to get around eventually, but that vehicle is capable of so much more! In today’s message, Bishop Lance reminds you that when you abide in Christ, you become His co-heir! You don’t have to suffer in guilt and shame, because you have been adopted into God’s family! The sin of your past no longer defines you, the only thing that matters now is that you are a child of the one true God.

Before Jesus’ death on the cross, it was difficult for man to know God! The priests of Israel had to undergo strict purification rites in order to be worthy to enter into God’s presence. But Bishop Lance reminds you today that you’ve been blessed by the blood of Christ! No longer are you locked out of the throne room of God; you are allowed access into the holiest of holy spaces! You are able to know God personally and intimately, just as He knows your heart, your desires, and your needs.

Reading the words of Jesus in the Bible isn’t enough to get you into heaven. In the Gospels, we see demons recognize His divinity, but that doesn’t mean that they are redeemed! No, you must be pursuing the holiness of Christ, and allowing yourself to be transformed from the inside out by the Holy Spirit. Bishop Lance doesn’t want you to be a lukewarm Christian; he wants you to live a life that is on fire for God! That passion for Jesus can propel you to do great things for God’s Kingdom.

Being a witness for Jesus doesn’t need an instruction manual. While having instruction and training is useful, your witness is useless if you don’t have the Holy Spirit living inside you. You’re pouring yourself into the work of God… but really, it’s just your idea of who God is and what He wants to do in this world, and He has little to do with it. We may not be fashioning idols out of gold and silver to bow down to in modern society, but we are very good at fashioning our own gods out of religion and reason. We need to be sure that our lives are centered around serving Jesus – not a god of our own making that serves our needs and desires.

God cares about your life in the here and now. He provides for you. We need to be a lot more concerned with eternity and what it’s going to be like for ourselves, our loved ones, neighbors, and co-workers. None of us knows how soon we’ll be confronted with death, and the message of salvation is much more urgent than our lives portray it to be.

The prophecies found in Scripture can be hard to decipher. Some pastors and churches build ministries on their interpretation of that prophecy, and it can become more about their perspective than about the God who gave it in the first place. As Bishop Lance will remind us today, God is the one who gave the prophecies we cling to, and He alone fully understands their meaning and how they’ll play out. We need to trust in Him and loosen our grip on our personal vision for the future.

Satan knows he can’t win, but that doesn’t stop him from trying. Sadly, while Jesus has secured the ultimate victory, each one of us has our own choice to make, and many choose to follow the enemy. In today’s message, Bishop Lance will remind us that we have a steadfast, undefeatable Savior who is stronger than the evil in this world. We don’t need to live in fear and back down from sharing the Gospel; we can step out boldly, knowing that even if they bring their worst, we have eternal hope in Jesus.

He doesn’t need our money, abilities, or position in society. He can just speak a word, and worlds come into being. He chooses to use us, stubborn, sin-ridden humans, to demonstrate His redemptive power in our weakness. He brings life from death, and all the glory belongs to Him. People don’t need to come to us for help, but to the one who rescued us.

Our enemy is a cunning deceiver. He knows just the right way to convince us that wrong is right and right is wrong, up is down, and down is up. Look at our world in contrast to Scripture, and the deception becomes clear. As Bishop Lance will remind us in today’s message, God is not against you, and He is not the reason for the brokenness in your life and this world. He’s a gracious Redeemer and loves us with a love that longs to restore us and give us hope in the midst of this broken world.

We live in an imperfect world, and often we search for the perfect setting, ideal people, and the right moments in our lives. However, that is not the essence of the church.
