This year's GitHub Game Off did not happen for my group, but I still wanted to make a song! It was supposed to be a beat 'em up style game where you'd shrink or grow larger. This demo kinda mixes the ideas I had, like the shredding guitar when you shrink and the idea of a lead instrument that would have tried to inspire the idea of lyrics fitting over the track.

This was a demo track I was messing with to get a feel for what to make for the game-off. It actually ended up being used as the title theme, funny enough! Sadly the game did not get completed, but the music was fun to make nonetheless. https://technicalincompetence.itch.io/qa-tester

The background music for this game had the same song with select instruments missing, or notes cut out, in the Planning Phase while the full track plays during the Action Phase. While the Planning Phase is softer (no drums, but hi hats; no melody, but random hits of the trumpet/violins) and meant to evoke a clock ticking, the action phase is inspired by Metal Gear Solid music. https://technicalincompetence.itch.io/qa-tester
