Title: BUT I v/s BUT GODOur BUT I's get bigger and bigger every time we say them. They can almost overwhelm us; if we allow them. What if instead of looking at how big our buts are, we concentrated more on the buts in the Bible?Such as: But I should have died...But God But I should have lost my job...But God But I should be divorced...But God But I was told I could never have children...But God But I don't deserve all of the blessings in my life...But God But I'm a wreck, I'm depressed, I'm lonely...But God"When we have exasperated our efforts, then we must rely on the But God's!""When all hope is lost and the diagnosis is grim, we have to draw our strength from the But God's""When life takes an unforeseen turn or we hit a pot hole on our journey, we have to reroute our course and trust in the But God's!""When the enemy has told you over and over; But You...you have to remind him...BUT GOD!"The But God's in the Bible are encompassed in God's promises and God's provisions. The But God's are divinely inspired, impeccable in their timing and are accessible for daily consumption!Psalm 73:1-2, 26 “God is indeed good to Israel, to the pure in heart. But as for me, my feet almost slipped; my steps nearly went astray.” ‭‭26-“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart, my portion forever.” ‭‭ Just like Asaph: there come times when we go backwards instead of forwards. There are times that we bask in the past instead of getting excited about our future. We get caught up in the used to be's instead of the now I am's!!#1: The purity of our hearts is more important than the ignorance of our mouths. Verse 1: God is indeed good to Israel, to the pure in heart...SOMEBODY THANK HIM FOR THE BUT GOD'S!!Verse 16-17 When I tried to understand all this, it seemed hopeless UNTIL I entered God's sanctuary. #2: BUT GOD allowed me to enter His sanctuary!God's sanctuary: -is a place that is set apart, holy, consecrated for the presence of God Almighty. -is a place of refuge and safety -is a place of solitude and rest -is a place of retreat and peace -is a harbor and a port in the storms of life -is a shelter, a hideaway, a haven -is a place preserve where God's Spirit abides -is a place where you can cry out to Jesus and not be judged -is a place where you can cast ALL your burdens, ALL your fears, ALL your pains, ALL your losses at the feet of HIM who cares, who restores, who rebuilds, who rekindles. Verse 26: My flesh and my heart may fail, BUT GOD is the strength of my heart, my portion forever. "Our But I's are the classic human dilemma; But God is the eternal solution!" (David Jeremiah)

Matthew 5:37- "All you need to say is simply "yes" or "no", anything beyond this comes from the evil one.""If you were not there, and all you're getting is here say, then don't say anything!"#2: is it Offensive? Ephesians 5:19- "speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music to the Lord, in your heart."#3: is it Negative? Ephesians 4:29- "let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths..." Proverbs 18:7- "A fools mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul."#4: is it Giving? Luke 21:15- "for I will give you such words and a wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict."#5: is it Ugly? James 3:10- "Praise and cursing come out of the same mouth. My brothers, this should not be.
