Greece is the most polarised country on right/left spectrum.  The anarchists and communists unify against fascism, and if you remember a few years ago, identity movements were at the height. In Greece, one of the capitals of the Euro-fascists was disbanded under law because they were connected to murders.  They were called Golden Dawn, the police made up much of the members, so the episode is less about Golden Dawn because that's more of the common knowledge but it's about the political climate post Golden Dawn. This episode we speak to two current members, Ronahi and Raperin, of the Women’s Protection Units or YPJ, an all-female militia that is closely affiliated with the YPG and part of the the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), also known as Rojava. Our guests are two international fighters who travelled to Rojava to participate and learn from the revolution. The YPJ was instrumental in defeating ISIS in Syria and aided in the saving of 10,000 Yazidi peoples from genocide in 2014 when they liberated them from ISIS. The tribal zones and Waziristan were the home of America’s drone war, disrupting life in the area for the last roughly 20 years. This is the area which the Taliban fled to during America’s occupation of Afghanistan and where the Pakistani Taliban, or TTP, reside. Specifically Northern Waziristan.
