Our Biggest Wedding Regrets

In this episode, we are sharing our biggest wedding regrets to help you plan a day that feels peaceful, intentional, and rooted in what truly matters. If you are a young Christian couple navigating engagement, trying to honor God, your families, and your budget, this conversation is for you. We planned our entire wedding for under $8,000, and while we are grateful, we learned some hard lessons along the way.In this episode, we talk about:Not hiring a professional day of coordinator and how that decision shaped the entire flow of our wedding dayWhy having two locations added unexpected stress and complicationsThe reality of an outdoor summer wedding and what we wish we had consideredHow a lack of a clear timeline created confusion for us and our guestsThe importance of assigning setup and teardown responsibilities to the right peopleWhy we ended up with way too much cake and what we would do insteadHow not having a designated MC or point person affected the structure of our receptionKaia’s dress experience and what we learned about expectations versus realityThis episode is not about regret for the sake of regret. It is about wisdom, stewardship, and helping you build a wedding day that reflects your values and sets the tone for your marriage. For engaged couples asking:How can we plan a meaningful wedding on a budgetWhat are common wedding mistakes young couples makeHow do we keep our wedding day stress free and Christ centeredWe hope our story helps you walk into your wedding day with clarity, peace, and intention.Takeaways:Focus on your marriage more than your weddingDelegate more than you think you need toPlan for weather, timing, and transitionsKeep your expectations flexible and your priorities grounded in faithIf this episode encouraged you, share it with a friend who is planning a wedding or preparing for engagement.Your wedding is one day. Things We Did Right While Dating : That Led to a Healthy, Godly Marriage
Hey y’all! Welcome back to the table. In this week’s episode, we’re continuing the conversation from last week about our biggest dating regrets—but this time we’re sharing the 7 things we did while dating that helped build a strong, Christ-centered relationship. Our heart is to encourage young couples who are dating or engaged to pursue relationships that honor the Lord and lead to flourishing marriages. Dating today can feel confusing, but intentional choices, healthy boundaries, and community can make a huge difference. In this episode, we share seven lessons that helped shape our relationship:• Inviting others into our relationship – We chose to let trusted friends and mentors speak into our dating relationship, which gave us accountability, wisdom, and encouragement when we eventually decided to get married.• Creating a “relationship contract” – We wrote down the boundaries and values we wanted to pursue while dating. This helped us stay aligned and intentional about how we treated each other.• Choosing to stop kissing – This might sound surprising, but this decision helped us protect purity and focus on building emotional and spiritual intimacy leading up to our wedding day.• Not putting our lives on hold – We started dating in high school and later went to colleges eight hours apart while playing college sports. Pursuing our individual callings helped us grow personally and ultimately strengthened our relationship.• Not moving in together – Even though it might have been easier financially or logistically, we chose to wait because honoring God and protecting purity mattered more to us.• Dating in public – Especially during our engagement, spending time in public spaces helped us stay accountable and intentional with our physical boundaries.• Dating with intention and clarity – From the beginning, we were honest about our expectations for marriage and didn’t leave room for mixed signals. Those sometimes difficult conversations built deeper trust and security in our relationship. If you’re dating, engaged, or preparing for marriage, we hope this conversation encourages you to pursue a relationship built on intentionality, honesty, and faith.Pull up a chair and join us at the table! If this episode encourages you, it would mean a lot if you left a review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify—it helps more people find the show. You can also follow us on Instagram @lifetothefullpod for more conversations about faith, relationships, and living life to the full.

If you’re dating, engaged, newly married, or hoping for a Christ-centered relationship someday, this conversation is for you.We talk honestly about the things we learned the hard way—like why we wish we spent more time together in public and around community, why encouragement matters more than we realized, and how shame affected parts of our relationship. We also talk about boundaries, accountability, and why we wish we had invited wise voices into our relationship earlier. In this episode we cover:• Some of our biggest dating regrets• Why spending time around community matters in Christian dating• Encouragement and how it strengthens relationships• Physical affection, boundaries, and honoring God while dating• How shame can quietly shape a relationship• Why accountability is important for Christian couplesWhether you’re in high school, college, dating, engaged, newly married, or single and preparing for a future relationship, our hope is that this episode helps you pursue relationships that honor the Lord.If this episode encourages you, it would mean a lot if you left a review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify—it helps more people find the show. You can also follow us on Instagram @lifetothefullpod for more conversations about faith, relationships, and living life to the full.

Trusting God with His Timeline: Marriage, Pregnancy, & Finances | With The Carroll's
We sit down with our friends Parker & Rachel Carroll, for a powerful conversation about what it looks like to trust God with marriage when the timing feels fast, the finances feel tight, and the future feels uncertain. They share their journey through a short engagement, learning they were pregnant just three months into marriage, and choosing to follow the Lord while living paycheck to paycheck. It’s a story marked not by having all the answers, but by a quiet, steady obedience that shaped their marriage and deepened their faith. This conversation is especially for couples in the early years—those learning how to make decisions together, how to trust God with money, and how to rest in His plan when it looks different than expected.Walking into marriage without perfect timing or perfect clarityNavigating a short engagement with prayer and trustBecoming parents early in marriageFollowing God faithfully while finances feel uncertainHow obedience, over time, opened the door to blessingIf you’re dating, engaged, newly married, or simply learning how to trust God together in a new season, we hope this episode feels like encouragement—not pressure—and reminds you that God is present in every step.🎧 Join us at the table and listen in.Follow us on Instagram @lifetothefullpodHosts: @kaiammaginel & @aaronmaginelGuests: rachel_sue & @parker_carroll

Why Your Relationship isn't Enough
This week’s episode is a heart-check every couple needs to hear: why your relationship isn’t enough. We live in a culture that tells us the right person will complete us—but the truth is, no relationship can fully satisfy your deepest needs. We are imperfect people, and because of that, even the healthiest dating, engagement, or marriage relationship will fall short if it’s carrying the weight only Christ was meant to bear.In this episode, we talk honestly about:Why expecting your boyfriend, girlfriend, fiancé, or spouse to fulfill you leads to disappointmentHow misplaced identity can quietly damage even “good” relationshipsWhat it looks like to root your identity in Christ instead of your relationshipHow surrendering your dream relationship can actually lead to freedom, peace, and clarityPractical ways to realign your heart with the Lord while dating, engaged, or marriedIf you enjoyed today’s episode and want to partner with us in supporting the mission of this podcast—to encourage people in dating, engagement, and marriage to live life to the full—we would be so grateful for a review and feedback. 6 Conversations to have BEFORE You Get Married
Happy (almost!) Valentine's Day! This week, we shared some of our favorite date ideas in preparation for Valentine's Day. But more importantly, we shared 6 conversations we think every couple should have before they get married. These are good to have even in dating or engagement. We started a lot of these conversations reallyyy early on because we wanted to be intentional with our time and purutis. For others, you may have been together for a while and feel stuck, or are asking yourself, "How do I know if I am ready?" These questions are a good way to start. We also don't leave you hanging, but give you practical ways to bring up the conversations. Our biggest tip is to be willing to be vulnerable and allow yourself time for these conversations; don't rush them. We were deeply inspired by Scott Kedersha's book Ready or Knot, and we hope you will read and use this book as a resource. If you enjoyed today's episode and want to partner with us in supporting the mission of the podcast to encourage people in dating, engagement, and marriage to live LIFE TO THE FULL, we would so appreciate a review, and feedback. This allows us to expand the podcast to more couples and serve more people. As always, if you have any questions or comments, please reach out to our Instagram or email us at [email protected] for taking a seat at the table. Two Stories, One Marriage
Welcome to the table. We've saved you a seat.In this episode, we're opening up about the parts of our stories we didn't always know how to share — the struggles with porn, identity, and loneliness that shaped us before we became "us."This isn't just another marriage episode. It's an invitation into honest conversation about what it really takes to build oneness in a Biblical marriage. What We're Talking About: • Our ins and outs for 2026 as a couple • Our personal testimonies and the battles we fought before marriage • Why sharing your story brings unity instead of division • How vulnerability and honesty create the foundation for oneness • Why dating and engagement are the time to start being real — not after you're marriedOur Hope for You: That you'd feel the freedom to share your own story. That you'd stop hiding the hard parts and start building something real with your partner. That you'd know you're not alone.Scripture We're Holding Onto: Ephesians 5:31-32 — "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."If this episode encouraged you, would you take 30 seconds to leave us a review?
