My perspective: "Attitude is Everything"
Perspective: "Attitude is Everything" This episode is about the quote "Attitude is Everything." In this episode, I ask several "what questions." If this sound interesting to you, feel free to have a listen and comment. Thank you for listening, sharing, and following on Spotify and Anchor. I welcome an open discussion. I'm forever grateful, Annika. What does it mean? According to WizBuskout (https://wizbuskout.com/attitude-is-everything-summary/) "It simply means that your attitude plays a vital role in every phase of your life. Be it your professional or personal life, attitude determines the level of your success." Where did it come from? I think it has always been around and a part of our philosophy of getting on with our lives even during disappointing or turbulent times. When should you consider this notion? Every day, find time to give thanks when things are going well and take things in stride when they're not. Why is it important? You can't control what others do, but you can control how you feel and handle each situation most of the time. Who said it first? The author of the book "Attitude Is Everything," Jeff Keller, said the quote. "Attitude Is Everything Summary, PDF, Quotes, and Review." Wizbuskout.com, 17 Aug. 2019, wizbuskout.com/attitude-is-everything-summary/. Accessed 2 Jan. 2023. How can you benefit from using perspective? Khalil Gibran "Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens."

Adjective Story: My Boring Teacher
Thank you for listening. Annika ([email protected]) Here's your challenge! Can you pick out all the adjectives in the story. Read Along. My Boring Teacher. I have the most boring teacher in the world. Her name is Ms. Craig, my Math Teacher, but my classmates and I like to call her Ms. Crazy. I am tired of going to class. It's annoying getting homework every night. Worst of all, my parents are frustrated with my grades in her class. It's all her fault. She is always happy when she sees us. Her voice puts me to sleep. I get really sleepy in her class because of it. It's not because I stayed up late on my phone the night before. She's talkative and knowledgeable, which is very annoying. I don't want to learn anymore. Some would say I'm being lazy, but I'm twelve years old, and I want to have fun. My brain hurts. Of course, I want to attend college, but I don't want to get grey hair before I get there. Anyway. Unlike Ms. Craig, Mr. White, my English teacher, is so exciting. His class is amazing. He's always interesting and captivating. As you can tell by my compliments, he's my favorite.

Short Story: Choosing a pet for Christmas
This is two parts: First part is the story and the second part is the Listening Comprehension Questions. Enjoy! Annika Choosing a pet for Christmas This year for Christmas, I am going to ask my parents for a pet. I have narrowed my selection down to six pets. I will ask for a turtle, lizard, bird, snake, dog, or cat. I'm guessing that my mother will object to the lizard and snake because she's afraid of them. My father will probably say no to the bird and the cat for different reasons. He'll most like say that the bird is too loud and the cat sheds too much fur. So, I will most likely ask for a dog. What kind of dog should I get? Well, I don't have a backyard, but there's a dog park within walking distance. I don't want a furry dog or a huge dog. I don't care if it's a mutt, so I will probably get a dog from a shelter. I don't care if it's a male or female dog either. I just want a companion because I'm lonely. We can do many things together, like go for walks, play in the park, and camp in the backyard. I know a dog is a lot of responsibility, but I am twelve, so I am ready to take on more responsibilities. I keep my room clean and do my chores on time every week without being told to do so. I have good grades in school, and I'm even a hall monitor at school. I've never had a pet before, so I am so excited. I will be heartbroken if my parents say no. Hopefully, they won't say no. Wish me luck! 267 words. Listening Comprehension Questions What is the story about? Who are they asking for a pet? When will they ask for a pet? What pets don't the mother want? Why? What pets don't the father want? Why? What pet did the kid choose? Where will the kid get the pet? What kind of pet will the kid get? What is a mutt? How old is the kid? Do you think the kid is responsible? What does responsible mean? About you Do you have a pet? If yes, what kind? If not, do you want a pet? If that was your kid, would you give them a pet? Why or why not?

Short Story: The Only Child
Thank you for listening Annika. The Only Child I don't have any brothers or sisters. I wish I did because I am an only child. It's lonely being an only child. All my friends have siblings, but I'm the only one who doesn't. They say I am lucky. I used to think differently until one day, my friend Lisa told me how much it sucked having siblings. She hates having siblings. I was shocked because my mother says 'hate' is a very strong word, and we shouldn't use it lightly. So when she said hate, I knew she felt strongly about it. Lisa doesn't like having siblings because you have to share everything. There never seems to be enough food to go around. Also, she said she never has privacy because there's not enough room. Once she told me this, I began to appreciate my situation because I don't have to share, and there's plenty because there's only me. I'm the only kid. More importantly, I don't have to share my parent's attention. I cherish the quality time I spend with my grandparents and my parents. Even though I have so much to be grateful for, having siblings would still be nice. If I had siblings, I would have someone to talk to when upset. I would have someone to help me with bullies at school, and I would have someone to play with when I am bored. Created by Annika S. 233 words
