Listen, Honey! You may have noticed a little bit of buzz on social media the last few weeks about a singer-songwriter from Kentucky named Hunter Flynn. He's from Pulaski County, Kentucky, which is right down the road from me. So I hollered at him to come sing me some songs and talk about his music. It turns out his first single from his debut full-length album dropped today! It's called "Wasted Days." The new album is coming later this summer. It'll be called Roots.  Hunter has an EP called Appalachian Soul that came out in 2023. Between that and the singles he's dropped since, I've become addicted to his songs and his sound. I don't want to put any pressure on him, but other people have said this, so blame them: If you like Tyler Childers, you're gonna like Hunter Flynn. We talked about his wild journey to being a songwriter that included a near-death experience that helped him decide he wouldn't live another day on this earth doing something he didn't love doing. Not only has it all worked out, but he's got a full band now, a new album coming, and the country music media are starting to talk about it. We've got him on Listen, Honey!
