Moving from Stress to Self Awareness
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comThis week on the podcast, I am re-sharing an episode on the Enneagram, highlighting how it shapes the way we think, feel, and do life—especially during times of stress. It is such a powerful tool for self-awareness. .We each process life differently—through our body, heart, or mind. These are called Centers of Intelligence. We each use all three, but one is our primary way to process life's experiences. Here are 3 key takeaways:Types 8, 9, & 1: Experience and process life somatically through the body. Emotions like anger serve as important signals, helping us identify when boundaries are crossed. Notice the difference between healthy anger and unhelpful rage or contempt.Types 2, 3, & 4: Live life through feelings. Learn to distinguish between guilt (a signal to reflect on actions) and shame (a harmful belief that “I am wrong”). Self-awareness helps us access the truth of our value and maintain healthy boundaries in relationships.Types 5, 6, & 7: Engage life through thinking and strategizing. The central challenge here is catastrophizing—imagining worst-case scenarios. Fear serves a purpose, but learning to focus on “what’s the best that could happen?” can rewrite our patterns. The gift of self-awareness is understanding why we think, feel, and act the way we do—then putting loving boundaries in place.By using the Enneagram, we can see that everyone operates from their own core motivations and patterns. This insight allows compassion for ourselves and others, encourages healthy boundaries, and supports living a more vibrant, purpose-filled life.Links Join Kelly's Group Coaching ProgramJoin Kelly’s Free community on Skool Let's connect.I am cheering for you!

The Power of Aligned Energy
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comThis week, I am re-releasing a recorded group coaching session about the power of deciding from aligned energy. You can learn to make decisions from a place of aligned, grounded energy rather than stress or overwhelm. Small steps, grounded in peace and power, create lasting transformation! Here are 3 key takeaways:Aligned energy is the foundation for living your dreams. When you pause to notice your inner energy (not just your to-do lists or relationships)—you can move away from exhaustion and depletion.Noticing your energy comes before deciding—and your energy matters! Instead of leaping from noticing a problem to deciding a solution while in the wrong energy, check in first. Practices like breathing, pausing, or reflecting keep energy flowing. Take small steps rooted in self-awareness and your unique values. Whether your goal is writing a book, hosting an event, or building a strong community, create a plan that feels both safe and inspiring. One Dream at a Time
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comThis week on the podcast, we are looking at the areas of our life through the lens of a “Life Wheel” so that we can remember our goals matter. What is important to you deserves your best energy, even if life often tries to pull you in multiple directions. Here are 3 takeaways:Focus on ONE priority: You can’t drive in seven directions at once. Choose one area of your life to invest in for the next three weeks—a focused sprint makes your dream more achievable.Make your goals small and specific: Break big intentions into tiny actions that fit your real energy and capacity. (Sometimes, the first win is just putting on your sneakers!)Balance grace and accountability: Give yourself flexibility, but hold yourself lovingly to your commitments. The goal is progress, not perfection.Your dream is important, simply because it’s important to you.Links Join Kelly's Group Coaching ProgramJoin Kelly’s Free community on Skool Let's connect. The WHY behind WHAT you do.
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comThe Working Genius is a powerful self awareness tool that can transform both your personal and your work life. In today’s podcast, I focus on the underlying motivations behind each Working Genius, they WHY behind WHAT each genius craves or desires, and what things “crush them”. Everyone, regardless of their genius, craves to be seen, understood, and wanted. When you understand what specific things you crave and what crushes you, you can not only better identify your geniuses but also use that information to have more agency in your life - to work more productively, improve work and personal relationships, and avoid burnout.Understanding what motivations are behind each genius is vital to be able to use this information to improve your life and your relationships. The motivations of the 6 types are:Wonder - craves being considered; crushed when dismissed.Invention - craves freedom; crushed by constraints or when others jump in too soon.Discernment - craves being trusted; crushed when told to “prove it”.Galvanizing - craves reaction; crushed by apathy.Enabling - craves appreciation; crushed by being overlooked.Tenacity - craves clarity; crushed by ambiguity.Links The Working Genius Let's connect.I am cheering for you!

Many Ways to Rethink Meal Planning
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comHere is a Tidbit for TodayJudi Adamyk from A Practical Life on Substack shares a few thoughts about meal planning that supports—rather than drains—our energy. Here are 3 key takeaways:Start Where You Are: Whether you build a menu from your pantry inventory, start with a fun recipe, or pull together a “girl dinner” or leftovers, meal planning doesn’t have to be restrictive or rigid.Habit-Stack for Success: Tie tomorrow’s dinner prep into tonight’s cooking routine by taking out meat to thaw while you’re making your current meal. This small habit shift makes a big difference!Align with Your Energy: Meal planning should match your life and mental energy. If mornings aren’t your thing, skip the slow cooker and opt for 30-minute dinners in the afternoon or evening instead.Meal planning isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that’s the point. Meal Planning Without the Pressure
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comDoes meal planning ever feel daunting to you? Does it leave you in a state of decision fatigue or dread? In this episode, listen in on a conversation I had with Jenny Cheifetz, The Flirty Vegan. We explore the mental load so many women carry when it comes to meal planning, the power of giving ourselves grace, and practical strategies for simplifying food without sacrificing nutrition or joy.Whether you’re curious about plant-based living, looking for ways to streamline your own meal routines, or simply wanting permission to ditch perfection for good, this episode offers relatable stories, tangible tips, and a gentle reminder that “good enough” really is enough. Here are three key takeaways:Give Yourself Grace: Let go of perfectionism and redefine what “enough” looks like, especially when it comes to everyday tasks like cooking. Sometimes, dinner really can be as simple as toast and an apple!Find Your Shortcuts and Systems: Batch cooking, simple appliances- like a rice cooker and air fryer, and having a stocked pantry save time and reduce decision fatigue. Honor Your Energy and Preferences: When you tune into your own likes and dislikes around things like meal prep and cleanup, you can create routines that actually fuel you instead of drain you. Make Space for Growth
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comThis week's episode is an excerpt from a recorded live group coaching session on the benefits of intentionally slowing down in order to get more done of what truly matters to YOU.Here are 3 takeaways:Embrace Smaller Steps: Don’t overcommit! Pick just one time block a day (even just 1–2 days per week) to focus on your most important goal. Break your action steps down until they feel truly manageable and aligned.Guard Your Energy as a Precious Resource: Whether it’s creating white space on your calendar or setting boundaries with distractions, protecting your best energy is key to achieving your goals, long-term fulfillment, and inspiring those around you!Prioritize what’s important: Use frameworks like the Eisenhower Matrix, and build in rituals or transitions to help you step into a state of flow. This approach isn’t just about doing less—it’s about doing what truly matters, with intention and wellbeing at the center. Permission to Pause
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comIn this episode, my guest Dorene Olsen reminds us of the wisdom found in embracing BOTH the busyness and stillness of life. It’s possible (and important) to do both! Here are 3 highlights from our conversation:You have Permission to Pause: Slow down in winter and create space for reflection, clarity, and connection. You’re not “behind.” Pause to ask yourself: What’s now? What’s next? What is one thing I need to ask for?Reflect, Celebrate & Adjust: Take out your camera roll and review the past year. You will see what you’ve accomplished and where you spent your energy. Celebrate the wins and spot opportunities for growth.Ask Boldly: Don’t be afraid to ask for help, whether in business or your personal life. Each season brings a chance to notice what’s now, what’s next, and what you might need from others. Asking not only helps you but also gives others the joy of contributing.A vibrant, purpose-filled life happens as we embrace both productivity AND pauses.Join Kelly's Group Coaching ProgramJoin Kelly’s Free community on SkoolDorene Olsen Let's connect.I am cheering for you!

God is Working In Our Mess
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comThis week on the podcast, I am sharing excerpts from the Book of Esther. Esther’s story is full of courage, purpose, and faith even when God seems absent. We are reminded that life is often filled with disorder, confusion, and pain—what we call "the mess." Esther’s journey reminds us that God is working in the middle of our mess. There is Power In Small Decisions: Miracles like Mordecai moving from ashes to royal robes are the result of consistent, humble choices. Your Thoughts Are Powerful:“Your circumstances do not create your feelings, your thoughts do.” We can choose healing thoughts, and respond to their mess with agency rather than defeat.Hardship and Hope Can Co-Exist; God’s work is not limited by our pain.Remember, in every chapter—whether you feel God’s presence or not—He is closer than you think, working in and through your mess to bring about something new. Esther’s journey is a testament to finding meaning amidst challenge and believing in your unique role in the world.Find & Listen To Wise Voices: Esther’s story highlights how voices around us impact our choices. It’s normal to feel scared when stepping into the unknown, just as Esther did when she was called to act courageously for her people. Winter Intentions: Warmth, Health, & Decluttering
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comIn this episode, I am sharing a conversation I had with Sarah Swift about how she chooses to appreciate—rather than just endure—the winter season. Sarah has learned to welcome winter by carving out intentional moments and finding joy in each day, and remembering that life isn’t a race all year long—there’s time enough for everything that matters. And slowing down, especially in the winter, aligns with seasonal rhythms, which is how we are meant to live! Here are three takeaways:Mindset is Everything: Look for small joys in every day—regardless of the season. Whether it’s appreciating freshly fallen snow or savoring a slow cup of coffee, choosing to focus on little moments of happiness can totally transform our experience of the colder months.Healthy Habits: Don’t let winter be an excuse to put your well-being on hold. Movement (like walking outside—even in the Wisconsin chill!) and muscle toning happened as she learned to adjust her routines, layer up, and create inviting spaces in her home.Refresh Your Space, Refresh Your Mind: Winter is the perfect time to tackle projects inside your home, from deep cleaning to adding special touches to your favorite spaces. Start small with one meaningful area (maybe your bathroom or office) . Aligned Goal Setting
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comDo you feel the “New Year, New Me” energy fading? You’re not alone! By mid-January, most people have already set aside their resolutions. This week on the Live A Vibrant Life Podcast, I’m inviting you to rethink goal setting—and discover a kinder, more realistic path to achieving your dreams.Let Go of January Pressure: Goals don’t have to be set (or achieved) in January. Your priorities can be nurtured year-round, whenever your energy feels right.Choose Peaceful Productivity: What if you could be productive without sacrificing your mental, emotional, or physical well-being? The secret is to align your goals with your natural energy, and approach growth as an ongoing rhythm—not a frantic dash.Budget Your Energy Like Your Money If something matters to you, make sure it gets a slice of your daily energy budget. Your energy ebbs and flows throughout the year. Be kind to yourself in the darker months and shorter days. No one has “summer energy” all year long. Above all…be gentle with yourself. If you’ve been feeling drained, overwhelmed, or simply want to create more ease and joy, this episode delivers actionable insights and heartfelt encouragement. Here are 3 key takeaways.Noticing Before Deciding: The step between “notice” and “decide” is crucial. Pause, breathe, and evaluate your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual energy BEFORE making decisions. Jumping into action with the wrong energy rarely serves us well.Aligned Action Over Hustle: Instead of pushing forward while overwhelmed or exhausted, focus on finding aligned energy. Enneagram Essentials: Understanding Yourself and Others
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comIn this bonus episode, Coach Kelly Tibbitts explains how the Enneagram can help all of us understand the differences in how people think, feel, and act. There are nine basic Enneagram types, and each type has three subtypes using a metaphor of nine people at a table, each with a unique perspective. Each Enneagram type is influenced by neighboring numbers (wings). For example: Type 3 may have Type 2 (helpful) or Type 4 (creative/feeling) energies. Description of Each Enneagram TypeOne: Strives to do the right thing for the right reason; internal rulebook; realization alleviates frustration with others. Two: Heart-centered, present-focused, compliant; seeks external validation for actions.Three: Future-focused, productivity and success-oriented; American culture often exemplifies Type 3 traits.Four: Deeply connected to feelings, reflective, often artistic or musical.Five: Detached from feelings, seeks information and logic, withdrawn; often seen as wise but less assertive.Six: Thinking center, focused on safety and worst-case scenarios.Seven: Thinking center, positive reframing, optimistic and focused on possibilities.Eight: Assertive, body/gut-centered, champions for justice, strong energy.Nine: Body/gut-centered, peacemakers, see all perspectives and seek harmony. There are 3 Centers of IntelligenceGut/Body (Types 8, 9, 1): motivated by instinct and internal knowing.Heart/Feeling (Types 2, 3, 4): process the world through emotions.Head/Thinking (Types 5, 6, 7): motivated by thought and logic.Self-awareness enables appreciation of varying perspectives and methods, reducing team or family frustration.Join Kelly's Group Coaching ProgramJoin Kelly’s Free community on Skool Let's connect.I am cheering for you!

Our conversation focuses on practical tools for organizing your home and managing your energy based on your unique Human Design type. Self-awareness leads to self-compassion.When you understand yourself better, you can honor your own way of doing things without judgment. How do you typically approach organizing at home or work?Do you make a plan?Do you pull everything out and then decide what to put back?Consider one space you want to organize. What’s in the space? Is the space serving you? Are you at peace when you’re in that space?Notice your energy. Ready. Set. Hope!
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comHope is the highlight of the Christmas story. This week the podcast is focusing on the story of Mary, the mother of Jesus and remember that the good news of great joy is for ALL people. Here are 3 takeaways:True strength and significance are found in surrendering to God. Surrender can be tough—especially for those of us who like to be in control! Mary’s story reminds us of the power found when we say “let it be.” Believing that we are ambassadors of God’s love for the world is where we find our purpose and strength. Your purpose and worth aren’t defined by what you do or what others say. It is easy to believe lies spoken over us. We all need someone in our life—like Elizabeth was for Mary—to remind us of who we really are and speak God’s truth over us.God’s faithfulness gives us hope even in the hardest times. Whether you’re celebrating or struggling this season, the Christmas story reminds us that God is with us in every circumstance. Rest, Love, and Worth: Lessons from O Holy Night
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comThis week on the podcast, I reflect on the lyrics from “O Holy Night”. They are a powerful lens for exploring the true worth of our souls. Some of my thoughts came after reading a book by Lysa Terkurst. I have linked her book below. Here are 3 key takeaways:Your soul’s worth comes from being loved by your Creator. Remember that our true identity and value aren’t determined by labels or the opinions of others, but by the love God has for each of us. “Our souls feel their worth”—that’s the central message of Christmas.Healing happens when we replace lies with truth. So many of us walk around carrying labels put on us by others (not quite “enough”, unloved, unworthy). This episode encourages us to confront those lies, listen to what God says about us, and let go of anything that diminishes our value. We’re called to love, encourage, and help others see their worth too. Especially during a season when many struggle, we can be the hands and feet of love—whether that’s sharing kindness, helping those in need, or simply being present and reminding someone of their value.Links Join Kelly's Group Coaching ProgramLysa Terkurst Uninvited: Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out, and Lonely. What do YOU want?
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comWhat do you truly want this holiday season? In this episode, I share my insights from an online Cathy Heller event from November, where she encouraged us to tune into our most authentic, abundant selves. This is so important, especially during the busy holiday stretch. As we move through the holidays, let’s ask ourselves what we truly want and intentionally align our thoughts and actions to create a vibrant, authentic life. Here are my top 3 takeaways:Get Clear on What You Want: Reflect and ask yourself, “What do I want?” Write it down! Whether it’s joy, peace, or abundance, being conscious of your desires opens you to receiving them.Tune Your Thoughts Like a Radio: Identify the thoughts you want to keep on repeat to support your vision and energy.Practice Receiving Abundance Daily: Simple rituals—like journaling, breathwork, nature walks, or prayer can be helpful. Social Energy Strategies
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comThis week on the podcast, I shared a conversation I had with Ellen Mailhot on what social energy is, insights on how to understand energy and some tools that help us manage our own social energy. Here are 3 key takeaways for managing your social energy:Recognize Your Unique Social Battery: Social energy is different from physical, mental, or emotional energy. Start to notice what drains or recharges your “social battery”—it could be the size of the crowd, the noise level, or even how comfortable your clothes are.Use Mid-Event Tools—Don’t Just White-Knuckle It: Instead of toughing it out and recovering later, proactively use tools during events. Breathing exercises, stepping outside for a quick break, or even sensory grounding (like the “5-4-3-2-1” technique) can help you refuel in real time.Give Yourself Permission to Set Boundaries: It’s okay to say “no” to events when your energy budget is low, or even leave early—no explanation required. Prioritizing your needs actually allows you to be more present with others in the moment, and reduces your need for recovery afterwards. Navigating Holiday Emotions
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comOn this episode of the “Live A Vibrant Life Podcast,” Coach Kelly Tibbitts shares some practical tools and strategies to help you protect your energy, set boundaries with intention, and move through gatherings with more ease and joy.Main Ideas:Create a Personal Toolbox: Prepare go-to phrases, recovery plans, and power thoughts in advance so you’re empowered to handle challenging interactions and situations intentionally—not reactively.Honor Your Energy Limits: Just like finances, your emotional, mental, and physical energy are finite. Schedule in rest and moments that bring you joy, and don’t hesitate to take breaks (even during events!) or bow out of draining situations.Customize Your Approach: Your way doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Decide beforehand what you need for each event or gathering—whether as a guest or host—and give yourself permission to make aligned, self-respecting choices. If you’re ready to navigate the holidays with more peace, energy, and authenticity, give this episode a listen—or reach out to learn more about our group coaching program. Book Week: On Our Best Behavior
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comThis week on the podcast, Coach Kelly has a discussion with Ellen Mailhot about the book "On Our Best Behavior" by Elise Lonan. Much of what we believe about productivity and “laziness” goes unchallenged. Our thoughts about “sins” like sloth are actually holding us back from rest, joy, and meaningful work. Here are my top 3 takeaways:Rest is Essential, Not Earned: The belief that you have to "earn" your rest is outdated and counterproductive. Stepping away from this mindset can bring more energy and clarity to your work and life. The Myth of Perpetual Productivity: Culturally, we've been conditioned to see constant busyness as a badge of honor, but research (and lived experience) shows this leads to burnout, not progress.Redefining Worthy Work: Rest allows us to show up more fully for our purpose—at home, at work, or wherever our “worthiest work” lies. It’s not about doing less, but doing what matters most from a place of joy and alignment. If you're struggling to build rest into your routine, you’re not alone—and you’re already worthy of it. Small Steps, Big Results
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comIn this episode, I am sharing some thoughts from a few of my group coaching clients who have worked with me for the last 5 years. I am also sharing a listen a final session from my fall series “Manage Your Time and Energy”. As we focus on getting BIG results by breaking down projects into small, actionable steps, know that every small step you take is moving you closer to the results you want. One of the secrets of Living a Vibrant Life is to be continually moving in the direction we want to go without getting overwhelmed and depleted along the way.Main Points:Focus on one project at a time and figure out the next right steps.Break each step into the smallest step needed so that they are doable for you.Align those action steps with your available energy. Notice how you’re feeling about each step. If you aren’t feeling good about it- it might still be too big of a step. OR you might be scheduling it at a time when you don’t have access to the right kind of energy needed. Commit to 1-3 consistent, small steps at a time and expect to feel uncomfortable until it becomes a regular habit. Celebrate small wins, and adjust course with kindness when life gets in the way.Links Join Kelly's Group Coaching Program Let's connect.I am cheering for you!

Communication Styles in Human Design
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comEach of the five Human Design energy types (Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, Reflector) has distinct energy patterns and communication styles. By understanding what feels satisfying or frustrating (for Generators, for example) or what brings peace or anger (for Manifestors), individuals can better align their actions and communication, leading to more fulfillment and less wasted energy.1. Manifestors are initiators—others feel their presence before they speak.Communication: Clear, direct informing is essential. Manifestors should not assume others understand their actions; proactive communication prevents confusion or alienation.Alignment Check: Notice if you feel peaceful (in alignment) or enraged (out of alignment).2. Generators “move things along” and can work extensively when energized.Communication: Authenticity matters. Generators should listen to their gut (the sacral response)—making sounds like “uh-huh” or “uh-uh” can help clarify true desires and satisfaction.Alignment Check: Notice feelings of satisfaction (in alignment) versus frustration (out of alignment).3. Manifesting Generators are the hybrid of generator and manifestor. They are fast, nonlinear, and enjoy juggling multiple interests and projects.Communication: Share enthusiasm without overwhelming others with the full scope of your excitement. Hone in on what truly lights you up and communicate that succinctly.Alignment Check: Similar to generators, attending to gut responses ensures decisions stay true to your energy.4. Projectors “see” others deeply and often offer wise counsel.Communication: Wait for invitations before sharing insights—unsolicited advice may be wasted or even resented. Invitations ensure that energy is well-received.Alignment Check: Are your insights being invited and appreciated? Use this as your barometer.5. Reflectors are the rarest type; open and reflective, sampling the energy of everyone around them.Communication: Take your time (even up to a month) to process and respond. There is no need to provide immediate answers.Alignment Check: Are you honoring your need for time and not succumbing to pressure for quick responses?Want to learn more? Five Steps to Managing Your Time and Energy
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comAs we pivot into fall, let's focus on our time and energy management and break free from the patterns that lead to exhaustion and depletion, confusion and self neglect. The key to creating more balance, purpose, and joy in your life starts with a budget. Just like we budget our money, we need to budget our time & energy and adjust to the changing seasons and demand of life. Main Points:As life seasons change, so should your system. Here are the five key steps:Create Your Protocol. This is your time and energy budget. Make a Plan. Use colors for different life areas and allocate blocks for each on your weekly calendar. Choose one Priority. Focus on one priority per block of time.Practice with small, regular, doable action steps.Pivot regularly to check in and adjust your protocol as needed—weekly, monthly, and especially when life and/or seasons shifts.Links Join Kelly's Group Coaching Program Let's connect.I am cheering for you!

Rest & Work Refuel Your Soul
Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.comIn this episode, listen in on one of my recorded client sessions from my summer series “Fill Your Soul with Sunshine” about the value of rest, joy and work, and putting these three ideas in THAT order. So many of us think rest and fun can only be after all the work is done. But as our work is never done, it’s critical to incorporate rest and joyful activity throughout and even BEFORE work. All three are important, equally important, but need to be in that order. We need to rest until we're no longer tired, fill our own soul with sunshine, with the things that bring us joy, and fill us with energy, and then go and do our purpose filled work. Main Points:Consider that rest is not laziness—it is a game-changer for your soul and your productivityUse simple tools to reclaim your aligned energy—every day, not just when you’ve reached burnout or once a year on a vacation.Choose stillness & silence rituals you can do anywhere.Notice what you enjoy- find what sparks your energy and make it happen on a regular basis.Discern where your energy gets depleted—and how to replenish it fast.
