He silently contributed to the expansion of the Ecstatic Dance Movement in Asia being one of the first to bring it in the now famous Bali Yoga Barn in early 2000s and subsequently on the Island of Koh Phangan. In both cases the concept and the events he created has grown exponentially up to the point that are now well established in the Ecstatic Dance scene worldwide attracting hundreds of dancers from all over the planet. He plays music in a very versatile and various ways such that his alter-ego named Psymbiosis (Maharetta Records) is present in the International Psy Trance scene sharing his passion and his vibrant energy. We are all one"! bio: Anoebis is an old school goa-trance addicted international dj, playing this kind of music as much as possible for people that love to dance hard and float around on classic goa-trance! 🙂 But thats not my only love... I also like to play very floating melodic ambient and melodic forest music once in a while. Besides that I (and Mars) are also the managers of Suntrip Records! :) The story of Anoebis starts in 1998. In that year I discovered goa-trance. Immediately I was SO convinced of that music that I bought all the cds I could buy! Pretty soon I had 200 cds which resulted in a first dj-set during newyear 2000. Around that period I didn’t dj alone. Mostly I played together with a friend called Dave (dj name Paprika) and together we were called PaprikanoebiS. Because Dave was too busy with his studies I played alone since 2001 and before I realised I was playing more or less every weekend. The first years of the new millennium were hard. Around that period I was one of the last djs playing “melodic goa trance”, the old school style. Because I loved that style so much and it seemed more or less dead, I and a good friend (Mars/Fabien) deceided to start our own music label called Suntrip Records. Not much later melodic goa-trance started to revive in Belgium and some other countries in the world, and this resulted in many parties with only “old /newschool goa-trance” 🙂 This meant little sleep for me, but lots of joy! And for some obscure reasons this love for melodic goa trance continues untill today! Since 2010 my career also exploded more internationally...So I hope many more mindblowing experiences will come soon! :) I have checked on how many parties I played by now, and in 2022 it must have been around 800 parties in my life… Mostly in Belgium of course, but in a lot of other countries as well... In more or less every European country, but also in Israel, Japan, Brasil, Egypt and more... Also, I am lucky to say I played on many festivals with a big name such as: Boom Festival, Psy Fi, Lost Theory Festival, ZNA Festival, SUN Festival, Apsara, Samsara, Freedom,... 🙂 Altough I’m doing this for a long time now I still love this music (it’s so deep in my heart, you can not imagine) and I still love dj-ing. Most people know me as just a psytrance DJ, but I play many different styles of music, from progressive house, to psybreaks, to psychill/psydub. I have a series of psydub/psychill mixes called Apson Psydub that I started almost 10 years ago. It has been some years since the last one, and I consider this set for psybient.org the 9th in the series. The meaning behind the name Apson is inspired by the Apsara, or in Thai อัปสร (Apson), the beautiful dancing supernatural female beings of the clouds found in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. I hope you enjoy this set as we venture into the cosmic realm of the Apson where they dance sensually through dubby fractal space palaces floating in the sky... :) much love! ------ Khromata Bio Khromata aka Eileen Lewis is one of the most prolific and sought after psytrance DJs in the U.S. She is a label DJ for the highly regarded Iboga Records. Now in her 11th year of DJing, she has played across the U.S and around the world, in places such as New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Las Vegas, Copenhagen, London, Mexico City, Vancouver, Panama, Ukraine, and beyond.
