    Ep 12: Ian Gibbs & Welcome to the Dojo live at Flipside Theatre

    Join us for our first official, live taping of our, "Look on the Flipside" Podcast, at Flipside Theatre, in 2026. Recorded live in front of a studio audience on January 3rd, 2026, the incredibly talented improvisor, actor, teacher, and coach, Ian Gibbs, walks us through his experience with going on SNL and meeting members of the cast to include, Chris Parnell, Jimmy Fallon, and Lorne Michaels at the after, after party. He also talks about how he is able to see the best in people and how we can, "look for the gold," in one another.In this live taping, Ian coaches his team, 'Welcome to the Dojo' and shows us what it's like to "Yes"..."And" one another in improv. We also get to experience Dojo performing a live, long form improv set called, "The Living Room."Welcome to the Dojo takes us on a journey through monologuing true stories which then led us on a tour through the Cave of the Winds, with all kinds of absurdity and cameos from the FBI and Seahorses.At the end of this podcast, it was so wonderful to sit down with Ian Gibbs and the team members of Welcome to the Dojo to include Christy, Eric, Greg, Chris, and Dal for a Question and Answer section.     Ep 10: Erik Mulder

    Today I got to sit down with musical improvisor, American Ninja Warrior (ANW), and teacher, Erik Mulder. We talked about the fear that goes into learning a new skill when doing ANW and performing improv and how, overtime, we get to go bigger and build our confidence as we keep practicing and getting in the reps. Erik talks about how improv and musical improv has given him so many gifts to include building a great community of friends and playing on stage with people who continually push him to be better.
