Loseph Jones

Loseph Jones was born Angelo Jones on May 18, 1989 in Atlanta, GA. After losing his father in 91, his baby sister in 92 and his mother in 94, he started rapping two years later with his cousins in a group. Even after he found out that his mother used to rap, he didn't understand his own love for music until it was all he had to turn to on rough days and cold nights. His music speaks on religion, relationships, struggle and strength all the like. Artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Outkast and UGK have been major rap influences for him, but he'd tell you that's he's an R&B guy who loves groups like Mint Condition, Dru Hill, Silk, Jagged Edge and 112.

Get Behind Me [Prod. By Loseph Jones]

I keep my grass cut for snakes And praise the Lord that I'm covered in grace Cause with Him I know that I… well I don't amount to much but mistakes Cause sometimes this world is too much to take But, this ain't luck, this is fate No, I don't follow my gut, this is faith God ordered my steps before the purchase was made The Devil lurking for days Got these haters throwing dirt on my name But that's cool cause ain't no dirt on my grave You knave Behave I'm, next to Godliness cause I'm clean, folk Nothing about me is average, but I'm still mean though Steel sharpens steel and they still can't steal my steelo Rap and make beats, I been Ye (benet) no Creole Been Cole; like absolute zero you can't be Lo (below) And if you don’t believe in the trinity you can't be Neo Watch what you speak on, I run it like I got cleats on Yeshua is King and can't be dethroned Satan get behind me (Satan get behind me) Hater get behind me (hata get behind me) Satan get behind me (Satan get behind me) Hater get behind me (hata get behind me) Satan get behind me If you're negative; don't talk to me, please And keep your spotlight; I don't got to be seen They want the fame and followers. I thank God that I ain't caught that disease It makes your heart that much harder to reach Your hate ain't bothering me No big deal; it's not a problem for me Going downhill is just slalom for me See, even if I hit bottom; God got him; it's not what you think The top ain't far from my reach This life is not for the weak So preach I give all glory to God because I'm alive, holmes I from the very same streets that many have died on The streets that cops ride on. Streets that backs lied on But pressure makes diamonds and we ain't rhinestone, we shine on I made it because of God, I couldn't do it on my own Thought I knew my value and worth but I had price wrong I was living life wrong, Now I'm tryna right wrongs So everything I do is to put Christ on Satan get behind me (Satan get behind me) Hater get behind me (hata get behind me) Satan get behind me (Satan get behind me) Hater get behind me (hata get behind me) Satan get behind me (Satan get behind me) Hater get behind me (hata get behind me) Satan get behind me (Satan get behind me) Hater get behind me (hata get behind me) Satan get behind me

    Solo [Produced by Loseph Jones]

I miss Mama… I miss my mother, my little sister and father… Grandaddy and my Uncle Jack I try to honor The closer they get the more it hurts so why bother God help… I don't wanna do this by myself I done took so many losses there's barely anyone left I done cried so many tears hidden from everyone else Don't let it show, but even the word says Christ wept Family and friends dying, meanwhile I'm still trying To hold onto their word cause someone gotta live by it Some days are worse than others, I can't help but to feel tired Smiling in public, but emotionally real private Armed with a verse because the enemy still sliding Voices in my head but when I pray they get real quiet The lord is my shield so I try not to feel pious You can test me, but not my G, I'm still riding Abba all I got is you (is you) Everyone else leaves when I run out But no, not you (not you) Father won't you please just lift me up Lord I need healing (healing) Lately I been feeling solo (solo) Everything's been falling apart And watching it's been clouding my heart Doubts and second guesses are drowning my thoughts It's a blessing to struggle but that don't mean it ain't hard Job don't pay enough. Rent is all I got Add the bills, clothes and food; something gone come up short Don't take it wrong, I've gotten through the storm a lot But life is a cycle so you gone get washed Now watch… I've come a long way from scheming and hustling Speeding and cussing, smoking, drinking and busting I had no peace, I was bugging, all that was leading to nothing People coming and going and leaving me with the grudges I found my reason in Jesus He covered me in His covenant I survived that part of life to be relieved of my judgement So as it's falling to pieces I won't sleep on His justice I still believe that my season is coming That's Job Abba all I got is you (is you) Everyone else leaves when I run out But no, not you (not you) Father won't you please just lift me up Lord I need healing (healing) Lately I been feeling solo (solo) My babies mother just lost her life A couple years after she lost her rights, right? And all of the children, in spite of that lost, ain't cried And what's so sad is the fault ain't mine See, she refused to come to court, so she lost that fight Missing calls and visitations my wife often tried Spent many years together doing what I thought was right But couldn't afford the cost or price Like… Like… I always thought she would've came right back Tell the kids about her life and give them game like that Life is strange like that; sometimes you can't fight back I lost my mother too, I ain't wish them pain like that Generational curses and hereditary diseases You were 34 I wished you lived life with more meaning See, you were fighting demons; I pray that you found Jesus Rest easy because the kids are loved beyond reason Abba all I got is you (is you) Everyone else leaves when I run out But no, not you (not you) Father won't you please just lift me up Lord I need healing (healing) Lately I been feeling solo (solo) Abba all I got is you (is you) Everyone else leaves when I run out But no, not you (not you) Father won't you please just lift me up Lord I need healing (healing) Lately I been feeling solo (solo)

There Are Two Sides ft. Claudia Cross [Prod. By. J-Glad]

This song is produced by J-Glad and features Cross Claudia AKA Jazmin Swai as a writing credit on the song. The song is approached as if I'm having a conversation with my homegirl for the first verse and my homeboy in the second verse. Actually, at the very beginning of the song I state that I wrote the song for my homegirl and my homeboy - because I did. The chorus speaks to both of them at the same time as if I've pulled them both to the side and spoke to them collectively. In the conversation I'm having with them, I'm explaining that I know how it feels to make a large investment in someone just for them to let you down. The first half of both verses is me being empathetic to their individual situations and then the second half of both verses is me reminding them of their worth. It is an inspirational song, to a crossover-type beat, with a melodic hook and simple, yet complex, verses. Currently, the song is featured on two mixtapes of mine that I released on 11/14/18: "Patience & Purpose" and "Rap Is Easy, Life Is Hard". Both of those mixtapes feature throwaway songs from my main project, called #TheOtherGuy, that I'll be releasing on Valentine's Day. There Are Two Sides and another song called Dom & Letty are the only songs featured on both of those mixtapes that will also be on #TheOtherGuy when it is released because they are my two pre-selected singles for that project.

ABOUT THIS SHOW
