It's me exploring the sounds that will be available on the Ableton Move hardware device. this example was made using Ableton Note (the app) on my phone but the sounds on the Note App and the Move hardware are the same.

Sometimes Old Ways Are Good Ways
"What if Dr. Seuss cartoons had Progrock soundtracks? That's what we're shooting for here." Here's a small snippet of something I've been working on since the pandemic started. I've gone back to writing using a method I've not used for 30 years and it's yielding some work I really enjoy. :)

NordJam - Jun 11
Just me messing around with the Nords. I tend to layer monophonic lines over each other and play around with interplay between them. Here's a good example. Everything except the drums if from the Nord.

Shiny Time - Holidays 2017
Sometimes I try to remind myself that I don't always make music with synthesizers. This kind of thing comes out at those times. This is tentatively celebrating the holiday season for 2017. It'll probably be the basis for something longer and more involved. For now it's light and happy and simple...and simple is what I was shooting for. Enjoy! (Secret: it's still all synthesizers.)

Project60 - 0010
Playing with choir and reflection. #10 in the Journey to #1000 (#j21k) Comments, feedback and questions to https://www.facebook.com/lukestarkmusic/ Backstory: Every artist has one thousand bad stories inside them hiding the great ones. In order to get to the great ones, you have to bring out the not so great ones. Project 60 is my ongoing attempt to improve through doing, releasing the rough stuff to get to the gems. Each track in Project 60 was written and produced in under 60 minutes. We'll see how long it takes to get to #1000. P31.07.2016b
Another practice session from today. This is just a quickly recorded bass and melody, which is then manipulated with timing, repeats and effects. A very simple drum track is used. Just making some bad art to get it out of my system. :)

George's Recessional
My friend George wrote this a couple weeks ago for his upcoming wedding and after being recorded by our mutual friend Greg (these are the guys from the shanty-band) they asked me to add a bassline. So this is us playing again. I put a copy here for my Mom. I don't think George will mind. Happy Mother's Day!
