Madbag Motorsport: Get into motorsport!

We are talking to Sikiru Kasali from Waltham Forest College London, who shares how he got involved in motorsport and is the background driving force, ensuring that the Waltham Forest Student Race Team have everything in order to be able to compete in their first race at Brands Hatch.

Today we are talking to Andrew Lloyd from studentmotorsport.com. Andrews love of cars and the written word led into motorsport journalism. He tells us about how more and more colleges and universities are offering courses in motorsport and also putting together their own race teams to compete in real races at race circuits around the country.

Millie Reeder, like many teenagers, was not sure what she wanted to do when she left school, but she was inspired when she found out about the Motorsport course at East Surrey College. She tells us about whats involved and how it led to her being part of a race team and how she is alot clearer on what she would like to do in the future.

Rob Stanger is a tutor at East Surrey College that has put together a student racing team as part of the Level 3 Motorsport course. He tells us about how that all works and how he grew up with motorsport, Minis, muscle cars and living with ADHD.

Paul Barrett has been involved in motorsport since the age of 12. He has been involved as a driver, co-driver and organiser, all over the country and in Europe. He explains how 12 cars are a great fun budget form of motorsport in a standard road car.Has competed in road rallies all over the country. Also single-venue stage rallies, multi venue stage rallies and European events.And not forgetting… the one and only Preston.

If you want to compete in Targa rallies in a standard road car, Paul Barrett explains how they work.You have to be 17 to drive and 12 to co-drive.
