Malaysia's distinctiveness lies in its double geography — the Malay Peninsula, where most people live, and the states on Borneo — linked by histories of maritime trade through the Strait of Malacca.The host's range extends from the capital Kuala Lumpur south to Johor Bahru on the causeway to Singapore, then north through old tin-mining Ipoh towards the coast.
