This is the first chapter of our prose novel HUNGRY GHOSTS. I, Park, am the person reading it out loud. We'll get back to our Road Trip episodes again at some point, but for now, I learned from working with the first chapters of our other two books that these are too long to embed (if that's the proper term) into a page of our website... Hi! Park here again, with more of our new podcast, MARRIED GEEK COUPLE! We're continuing with Barb and myself on a road trip– to visit my mother, for Thanksgiving. So we’re talking in the car, on the highway, so yes, there will be some road noise– be warned! But I also think it’s really not too bad, and other people agree with me, because whichever one of us is talking for more than a couple of seconds is holding the phone right in front of us, so it’s not like you can’t tell what’s being said clearly, really. Each short episode is edited, of course, but it’s just us, again, casually (but intensely) talking about stuff we like! The goal is to mostly be for people who want to listen to a happy, positive, married geeky couple talking (in their car) about things that make them happy– perhaps while you do chores? kitchen stuff? folding laundry? other?  THIS episode features us talking about music: Alex Chilton, The Boxtops, and rockabilly...

Our ninth episode. We're just chatting about our life together and testing our ability to record audio, and trying to stay positive! Barb suddenly starts talking about the old song "Up on the Roof." This one has her singing a bit, which is always nice. She's like this all the time at home.

Our eighth and longest episode so far! We're just chatting about our life together and testing our ability to record audio, and trying to stay positive! You know what makes us feel positive? Mugs! Everyone has one or more favorite mugs! Then we start talking about listening to BBC radio shows, and then our talk turns to the trauma Barb got one time when she was ambushed by hearing Leonard Nimoy sing about Bilbo Baggins.

Our seventh episode. We're just chatting about our life together and testing our ability to record audio, and trying to stay positive! Barb decides to say some positive things about delivery drivers, and I tell a story about a time when Barb's laughter got just a teensy bit out of control (but that just makes me love her more).
