DJ Service is a Barcelona-based duo made up of long time collaborators and devoted selectors Driahn and Oscar Silvente. After years of playing solo, they first linked up for a b2b where the chemistry clicked straight away. Five years in, they’ve carved out a sound rooted in UK tech house, whilst inspired by their international roots. Driahn’s UK-via-Netherlands & Barcelona flavours meet Silvente’s Barcelona born and raised rhythms. Alongside that, they’ve launched their own imprint, DJ Serviced Records pushing rising talent from the city and beyond. The next MASS mix is quite the milestone as we reach our 50th episode! We're thrilled to present the enigmatic Pascale Project in this delicious 70 minute blend. Pascale’s sound caught us instantly. A hypnotic blend of mind-bending textures, slow-burning tension and undeniable sensuality. Each transition is carefully considered, balancing tension and release while allowing every track the space to breathe and quietly command attention. Originally from Montreal and now based in Berlin, Pascale Project is both a producer and DJ, as well as the mind behind Sparkling, an independent mix series and label that mirrors the same refined, detail-driven approach. Introducing.: Master C-Fu! Lyon-based DJ, radio host and core member of the Everybody Trance collective. His infectious style brings a free and playful vibe to his sound, both solo and in the DJ duo, Cesar & Jason. His show The C-Fu’s Dojo on Lyl Radio blurs lines between genres, keeping the Lyon scene connected, and is now linked with the LeGram VG record store crew working behind the scenes. Known for his eclectic sound, Cesar has played legendary spots like Griessmühle and Hoppetosse in Berlin and is a regular at festivals such as Le Chant des Oiseaux and Évasion. Gabba - a long-time friend of the crew and dedicated digger, steps up with her first ever mix! A carefully curated, vinyl-only journey through her collection. Born in Zimbabwe, raised in Mallorca, and now based in Barcelona, her sound reflects a life shaped by different rhythms and movements. Islas aka Ailsa Cavers is the curious mind behind many projects. From co-creating the Basic Moves record label, PLANET collective and the pop-up shop objet petit a / op-a with Dana Kuehr, there's always something fizzing. We first met back in 2016, bumping into both her and Walrus in Leeds' Wire, Distrikt and Tribe Records over the same weekend. After a few shared tales, we ended up back at an afters for a long mission of mixing records and sharing more stories from their digging trip around the UK. Ailsa has since developed a potent and intriguing style behind the decks, sitting somewhere between wonky minimal and punky oddballs, right through to introspective ambient and atmospheric club tracks. Lo-Lo is one of the minds behind the excellent Ascendancy curation and label. Born in Uruguay and now based in Barcelona, the DJ and producer caught our attention from the very first time we heard him spin. Full of intrigue and depth, his patient blends find a place between genres, flirting with the fringes of minimalist house and techno. Hypnotic Mindscapes curator and founder Cosmic JD joins us for the next episode of the MASS podcast. Known for delivering intelligent grooves on the dancefloor through both his DJ sets and live performances, JD recently unveiled a new dimension to his sound We first caught a glimpse of this shade at the Seekers x Faciendo weekender at Hoppetosse in snowy Berlin this past February. With tired legs after hours on the floor, we drifted downstairs and stumbled into a deeply considered downtempo set, curated with warmth, restraint, and intention. It was a moment that gently pulled us inward, reshaping the energy of the night. Inspired by that experience, we invited Cosmic to share this reflective mode with us. Marie K's intriguing sound caught our attention from the very first listen. As a resident at Amsterdam's Breakfast Club and based in Rotterdam, her skills both behind the decks and in the studio have been nurtured over the years, defining a highly personal presence within dance music. Whether you catch Marie spinning records or playing live on her machines, the passion shines bright. We first heard Marie playing live at Above Below festival - a fascinating sound that balances a sense of playfulness with cryptic and mystical atmospheres. Her DJ sets channel a similar path with influence from contemporary circles in the likes of Ukraine and Uruguay where a spirited sound is front and centre. @n1kol, aka Chris Nicholls has grown into an integral part of MASS. Since meeting him in 2016 following a random Facebook message, we connected and have no doubt formed a lifelong friendship. After featuring on MASS‘s first vinyl last year, his sound began to attract attention leading to a full EP on O.C.D Records with Gavin Herlihy as 'Body Copy'. Now flourishing as a solo artist with several EPs in the pipeline, plus his downtempo live project Between Dreams with Dan, years of quietly crafting his sound is finally coming to fruition. This podcast is a special one for us and we’re proud to present Nikol's first electronic podcast, inviting us into his world of sound.

Artuccio, a close friend of MASS is a keen artist and avid digger that carries the spirit of his hometown Montevideo, Uruguay, channeling a fresh sound. His exquisite taste and technique are a product of the legend DJ Koolt’s academy. Now expressing in Barcelona, he is running the party-label Ascendancy with Lo-Lo and working at Small Black Dots record store. In this vinyl-only mix, he takes us on a journey through gems both old and new, each with their own uniquely hypnotic and progressive sound. @artuccio

MASS 002 is here! After following the infamous Alien Recordings imprint for many years, we had the honour of hosting Andy Panayi and Alec Stone aka A² in 2019. Passion poured out of the pair and it soon became clear how their prolific label has remained relevant for over 20 years. After Andy's tragic passing in 2020, we are honoured to present these precious cuts recorded in the late 90s and early 2000s. Andy and Alec's A² project features alongside Andy and Rob Collman's Stopouts project. The upmost gratitude and respect goes out to Alec, Rob and all the Alien Recordings family for allowing us to publish this memory. RIP Andy ❤️

UK legend Len Lewis steps up for the next MASS mix. Len's prolific work in the space between genres remains pivotal in shaping the tech-house movement after over two decades in the game. Capturing the hedonistic zest of the era during the late 90s and early 2000s, the infectious energy heard in both his productions and DJ sets remains present in his current work. Recent releases for tastemaking labels such as Discobar and Real Deal Records are testament to his everpresent devotion to dance music, in addition to the rebirth of his 90s label 666 Recordings.
