The first of what will eventually be an examination of Matt's recording career, starting with his first recording with the Harry Leader Orchestra in 1955, through to just before he won his recording contract with Parlophone in 1960. This month, Michele is in full rant mode about last month's Eurovision Song Contest, after which we get down to Matt Monro business and his links with Cliff Richard and some 60s BBC Pop radio shows.  If you have any questions or anything you would like to speak to us about, please contact [email protected]      

This week Michele and Richard discuss Eurovision links with Lulu and the European Broadcasting Union's attempts to track down the missing 1964 Song Contest featuring Matt, alongside other organisations such as Film is Fabulous and the Radio Circle, who do such great work in helping collectors or their families deal with collections which might otherwise be destroyed. And how you can easily get conned trying to recover material, if you're not careful. Please note that due to someone carelessly blowing up an oil tanker very close to Michele's house, which took out all her broadband and landline services (which still isn't restored a month later), Michele's data signal - routed through her phone - wasn't brilliantly stable and meant that the odd sentence gets a little bit garbled. This month, Michele and Richard try to dispel some of the myths and legends about Matt's life and have a bit of fun along the way. Not only that, through the miracles of modern technology, they chat with the late Dave Allen with a long-lost clip from a TV Show not heard for 58 years.   Listen to the end to hear Richard make a bit of a fool of himself, too!      

This month, in a special extended episode, Michele and Richard are joined by the fabulous Anita Harris, who discusses her career, her friendship with Matt, and her memories of working with him.

On the month that marks 41 years since we lost Matt, Michele and Richard discuss a range of subjects, from the new release of the enhanced Araneta Coliseum concert from 1966, through birthdays, including Rouelle Carino, the Water Rats, and singing in a foreign language. Bobby Crush, who not only appeared with Matt but is a big fan, is back again for the second part of our conversation We discuss his career, parallels, and connections with Matt, as well as his memories of meeting the singer. Bobby had so many stories that we've had to split this interview into two episodes! We had a few technical issues with Bobby's feed to us, so it's not quite up to the technical standard of our other podcasts, but Bobby is a great storyteller, so I'm sure you'll forgive us its shortcomings.
