One of Reno's most beloved events! The Reno Punk Rock Flea Market returns to El Sol (1580 Hymer Avenue in Sparks) on April 10th, 11th, and 12th. Live music from local bands and touring bands. Shopping. Food Trucks, Kids activities and more.  The Reno Punk Rock Flea Market is a 100% volunteer-run, community-supported non-profit that’s dedicated to amplifying the arts and music scene in Nevada through hosting public events like the Punk Rock Flea Market, educational workshops and providing a forum for creative self-expression. We’ve been producing community events since 2018 and have now expanded to several large events a year as well as a monthly all-ages matinee. Our goal for the next five years is to rent our own venue where we can facilitate even more all-ages events and provide a permanent space for all of our community members to collaborate & create. All donations go directly toward our events and community sponsorships.

Beat hits Reno on Nov. 21st, 2024 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.

The new book "Rush at 50" is by Daniel Bukszpan from the Quarto Group on Motorbooks. A beautifully produced, photo-packed celebration of the beloved rock trio, Rush at 50 examines the history of the Canadian rockers through the lens of 50 milestone events and an illustrated gatefold timeline. Max Volume talks to the author about the book, and all things Rush!

April 20th 1984, Bon Jovi opens for the Scorpions at the Lawlor Events Center on the University of Nevada campus in Reno, Nevada. Bon Jovi had just released their debut album "Bon Jovi" on January 23rd of 1984. Max Volume was onsite and got Jon to go live on the air. I had been searching for this interview for years. I was lucky enough to be granted an interview by one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Alvin Lee of Ten Years After. Sadly, mere days after this interview, he died. Alvin Lee passed away on March 6th 2013 at the Hospital in Estepona, Spain due to "unforeseen complications following a routine surgical procedure". He was 68. We talk about the beginnings of Ten Years After, touring America, and his latest album; "Still On The Road To Freedom". Enjoy
