Do you ever feel like an outsider in your social circles because of your choice of music? You think and dress differently, talk about things others consider boring? Do you find it hard to make friends? Have you had or are going through a difficult childhood or early adulthood? And is this because heavy metal music is your go-to and you find it hard to connect with others who don’t follow the same interest in this form of music or its themes?You’re not alone. I'm no different. I had a tough childhood, a less than interesting time in school and college and found respite in heavy metal music and haven't looked back since. Many years have passed since those first notes burst through my speakers. Myriad dreams have died on the long road out of Eden, yet I remain true to who I am by embracing this music in its most intrinsic form. I know there's a lot of people out there, who are struggling with their mental health either because of this stereotype perception or simply because they can't art
