Today's show, I would like to talk about protests that truckers aren't necessarily involved in, and my intention is not to get into the vigilante's views of these protests but, more than anything, to talk about how our truckers on all sides of the borders get painted with basically the same brush so to speak...

It is simple yet complicated! The simple part is NO FUEL, NO TRUCKS MOVING! It used to be NO FREIGHT, NO TRUCKS MOVING! However, now we are facing a very serious situation regarding fuel. The customer passes their increased shipping costs on to the shopper, who looks after the trucker. Why are Diesel prices higher than gas prices - this makes no sense!

Have you ever been out for a drive and started thinking about something bothering you? If you have, you know by the time the first thought hits, and if you are by yourself, by the time you get to your destination, the original thought could by this time have you in a desperate emotional state of depression, anxiety, or worse. Can you imagine driving a truck for days and having these thoughts - for some, it would be hell on wheels!

The trucking industry is responsible for 90% of our goods being delivered- not just food and other necessities but also construction materials and more. There are a ton of challenges these truckers go through, from the time they pickup the load to the time of delivery and emptying the load.  

It is not rare to hear of people jumping out in front of a speeding semi, a person jumping off a bridge into the path of an oncoming semi-truck.  Why - check out his episode of one of our team drivers who were used to helping another trucker commit suicide and the lady who jumped in front of a speeding truck - I share my opinion - Do you agree? Have you ever experienced or known anyone directly affected by such acts?

Recently I was in contact with Johns family and before airing this episode I was given their permission to share these memories of John. Through our life journey we meet some people who have a huge impact on our lives. These individuals make such a huge impact on us that it can change us in positive ways. John Boyles was one of those people and I wanted to share some memories not just as a trucker but a friend, a son, a brother, an uncle and so much more. Enjoy the show as we pay tribute to a good man!  

There are some people in all areas of life that come to us on our life journey and leave a lasting mark in our worlds - A Positive mark that we never forget.  I want to tell you about a trucker named Lloyd who did just that in my life when I was working in the office of a large trucking company. He was a gentleman, one hell of a good guy in all areas - he passed in 2016, and now the world is left out of balance without Lloyd around.

Today's episode comes a day after hurricane Fiona landed on the shores of Nova Scotia in Richmond County, Canada.   Fate whispers to the trucker... You Can Not Withstand the storm And the trucker whispers back... I am the storm!

What happens when a dispatcher disrespects a trucker? Usually nothing but not for this guy ... "The dispatcher "fell" to the ground ... it was like a torpedo leaving its tube...
