Dear Kanye - Milman Podcast
Dear Kanye, Why? Why did you have to do this? I am a big fan and I love your music, the older ones anyway. How am I supposed to listen to Graduation and 808 and Heartbreaks without constantly having your antisemitic comments lingering around in my thoughts? I feel like you’re Ron Burgundy and I’m one of your fans from San Diego. If you have a problem with individual Jewish people, then call them out by name and leave the rest of us out of it. You told Diddy that we control him and everything else. Did you see your followers versus and average Jewish person like myself? Who do you think has more influence? Sarah Silverman came out to speak out against your comments. Who do you think has more influence over their fans? She or you? Even Ross from friends spoke out about this. The man we never hear from anymore. Who do you think has more influence? You or Ross? Of course you Kanye! You said DEATH CON 3, when the appropriate term is DEFCON 3. You knew what you were doing. You go on one day saying lives matter, but go on the next day saying that Jewish lives don’t. Then you said you aren’t Antiemetic because black people are also Jewish. That statement can be looked at both ways. 1) There are black people who are Jewish whether they’re Ethiopian Jews or Black people who decided to choose Judaism as a way of life and a faith to follow. Or 2) You’re saying that black people are the original Jews and the so called white people are the imposters. The reason I bring up the second one is because supposedly in an interview with Tucker Carlson, Kanye mentions that Black people are the original Jews. Fox News apparently cut that part out. Whether that’s true or not, we have a history of people saying this. DeSean Jackson, was one of them. And you have the Black Israelite Groups that Hate Jewish people because they are imposters, and they say that black people are the original Jews and that White people stole their identity. There were people who were either a part of or were inspired by black Israelites and acted on their hatred to commit attacks on members of the Jewish community. I have a question. Why would white people want to be Jewish willingly if they don’t have to be? Jews were persecuted throughout history, with most recently the holocaust. Jewish people are arguably the most hated people throughout history. But this is who we are. People always assume that Jews are white. They’re only thinking about Ashkenazi Jews. Jewish people are a nation of people who come from the same region. After they were expelled from their land, they scattered all over the world. After a thousand plus years of assimilation, European Jews look white. Sephardic Jews look Arab. Mizrahi Jews look Persian. E\thiopian Jews look Black. Indian Jews look Indian. The point is that being a Jew isn’t about being white or black, it’s about coming from an ancestry who lives a Jewish way of life and follows the Torah. There are people who are converts who choose to be Jewish and follow the Torah as well. Were the original Jews Black? I don’t know, I wasn’t there. You weren’t there either. Logically, no. They looked middle eastern. Whatever the case may be, today’s Jews are descendants of the original Jews. And when you say black people are Jews also, I agree. There are White Jews, Black Jews, and everyone in between. What is with the obsession to say that white Jews are imposters? If you want to be Jewish, then be Jewish. Who’s stopping you? Follow the Torah, Keep Shabbat, Keep Kosher, put on Tefillin. Who’s stopping you? Anyone can be Jewish if they have the desire to be Jewish. Kanye, Jews have enough heat as it is. I can assure you that I do not control Diddy. He doesn’t even know who I am. When you say these things, you validate people’s hatred. And you have people believing in false information. If history has taught us anything, is that these kind of things don’t end well. Please do better. Thank you.

Why people have a hard time finding someone to marry - Milman Podcast
There are so many people that have trouble finding someone to settle down with these days. And the main reason is because they don’t want to settle down. They want what they want. And that is great, but the issue is that there is no balance between settling down and finding what they want. The older we get, the pickier we are. And people are looking for a unicorn instead of a really amazing horse. Unicorns don’t exist by the way, just to clarify, and that is the point. People are looking for something that doesn’t exist. I want to get into it a little deeper with an example from a movie called “Mr. Nobody,” with Jared Leto. Spoiler alert, if you want to watch it then perhaps you shouldn’t continue watching my video. But the example I am using from the film is something that wouldn’t really ruin the plot in my opinion. The film is complicated, it is rich with metaphors and symbolism. It is one of those though films to figure out, similar to “Donnie Darko.” In the story there is a young girl who is 15 years old and she is obsessed with an older kid who is cool and has a leather jacket. And he no longer wants anything to do with her, and she is devastated. This other 15 year old boy tells her that he likes her and he wants to marry her one day. She tells him that she is madly In love with this cool kid and will never get over him. The boy insists and tells her that everything will be alright. About 20 years later, they are married with children, and yes, you guessed it, she is miserable, and depressed and still in love with that cool kid. Eventually she leaves her husband and her children. She works at hair salon and while waiting for a client, she is staring at this photo of that cool kid, yes, she is weird. Guess who comes into the salon for a haircut, yes, the cool kid with the leather jacket. Except now he’s older, no longer wears a leather jacket, balding a little, has a little gut, but is still good looking for his age. She gives him a haircut, he pays her, and he leaves. She sits back down to look at that damn photo again. They didn’t even recognize one another! She is obsessed, hoping to see him one day, she did without realizing it, and he isn’t what he used to be which means that she is looking and waiting for someone or something that does not exist! Ladies and Gentlemen, yes, you should not settle for just anyone. However, it does seem like you’re taking this “I don’t want to settle for anyone” a little too far. There should be a balance. It’s like when in Seinfeld, again spoiler alert, Jerry is out with an attractive woman, but dumps her because she shushes him and dumps her later again because she eats her peas one at a time.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith - Milman Podcast
Follow me on Instagram: @MichaelMilman I want to talk about Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s relationship again because I feel like so many people go through a similar thing. After the Jada’s infamous conversation with Will on her show, and after the Oscars fiasco, more of their dysfunctional relationship has been surfaced. In another clip from a different episode of the red table, Jada talks about, with Will and their daughter in the room, that she never wanted to marry Will. And Will also talked about how he was trying to throw her this amazing birthday party, and no matter what he did or how hard he tried, he just couldn’t win her heart. He says this, he is aware of this. There was also a video that was leaked where Jada was trying to film Will out of nowhere to help promote her show and Will wasn’t having it. He really seemed annoyed, and his reaction says it all, that this defiantly was going on for a while. And finally, she mentioned after the infamous slap that she wishes Will never did what he did. I’m not sure if I believe her. There was footage of her reaction to the slap, and she didn’t look like she was troubled by it. The point that I am making here is that Will is in a toxic relationship, and the question is why? If it’s the kids, the kids are all grown. Perhaps he loves her too much to let her go. She has made it clear that she isn’t into him like that. And worse, she is making him out to be a fool in front of the world. Why is she doing that? Perhaps she feels guilty. He is the father of her children, he is a great person, minus the Oscars of course. He is good looking, successful, he’s a bigger star than she is. What more do you want? She must feel guilty not loving someone like that. And it’s okay not to love him, sometimes we cannot explain why we don’t love someone, but why treat him so poorly? Maybe she’s pushing him away because he won’t just leave her. Who knows? She is ruining this man’s life. And perhaps she pushed him so over the edge that he went and did something so stupid on his golden night at the oscars. He finally won an Oscar, that amazing moment was ruined. Any why do I think she was behind his fall? He was fine and laughing at first, till he turned to her and read her expression. This reminds me so much of the show “Sex Life” on Netflix, which was released about a year ago. Everyday people deal with this on an everyday basis, and they shouldn’t. Sometimes love isn’t enough, especially if someone doesn’t love you back and worse, ruins your mental health and ruined your life.

Toxic Relationships - Milman Podcast
Follow me on instagram: @michaelmilman In the light of what happened between Will Smith and Chris Rock this past Sunday, I wanted to talk about Toxic Relationships. I don’t know Will Smith, but from what I’ve seen, he’s always been the nicest guy in comparison to other Hollywood personalities. That’s why it was so surprising when he lost it out of nowhere and hit Chris Rock and cursed at him. I understand he was trying to defend his wife’s honer, but I don’t buy that that was really the issue. I believe that there are a lot of underlying issues that caused this to happen. Chris Rock made the joke about Jada’s head being shaven. Jada apparently has a disease that causes hair loss in women. It was said that Chris had no idea that that was the case. Whether he knew or not is not important. What is important is how it was handled. If Will had an issue with the joke and he REALLY NEEDED TO SAY SOMETHING, he could’ve walked up on stage, address his wife’s issue, and explain that Chris Rock was insensitive, inappropriate, and that he should be ashamed. That would of made Will look amazing. He would've defended his wife’s honor, and would’ve been praised for his most likely. When the joke was made, Will looked fine. He was even laughing. And then he looked over at Jada and acted on it. Here are where the underlying issues come in. Jada publicly made it known that she was in an open relationship and that she slept around with other men. I think that one of those men where her son’s friend. People were clowning on Will Smith for this. They were also clowning on him for gaining weight and crying in an interview. And he confessed once that he felt that he couldn’t live up to 2pac when competing for Jada’s love. All of that toxicity was boiling and Chris’ joke is the straw that broke the camel’s back. It’s almost as if he needed to prove to everyone that he wasn’t a joke and shouldn’t be messed with. And this was all on Chris Rock’s expense. Chris Rock by the way, handled himself as well as he could’ve handled it. I applaud him for staying professional and proceeding with job. Having said all of that, I think that Will is in a toxic relationship with Jada and he deserves better. He’s always been a nice guy and she brought out the worst in him when he slapped Chris Rock. And this is why people shouldn’t be around toxic people or be in toxic situations. There are a handful of people that say that when they left toxic people or got out of toxic situations, their life changed for the better. They were happier. Maybe Will puts up with all of this because he truly loves Jada. Sometimes love isn’t enough to stay. Maybe I don’t know enough about their relationship and it’s more complicated. Fine. I was just talking about what I’ve observed and how other people can relate based off of this observation. And that it isn’t worth being with someone who doesn’t appreciate you and takes you for granted even if you love them.

Whoopi Goldberg's Holocaust Comments - Milman Podcast (Recorded February 17, 2022)
Follow me on instagram: @michaelmilman Whoopi Goldberg. Look, I’m going to get to the point and try to make this short. I disagree with her statements. However, she shouldn’t have been canceled. This is what America is all about. Free speech. She should be challenged, yes, but shouldn’t be canceled. When it comes to the holocaust, I believe that antisemitism is so powerful that something as tragic as the holocaust is challenged one way or another. Whoopi said that this had nothing to do about race and it was one white group attacking another. I see why that’s confusing. Yes, the Nazis were killing white Jews. White Jews live in Europe and were in the radar of the Nazis. However the Nazis didn’t view Jews as white people that are a part of a religion. If that were the case, they’d do what Spain did at one point and force the Jews to abandon Judaism. Nazis killed people that had a Jewish grandparent, being only 25% Jewish and not even knowing about it. Their whole life they had no idea that they were 25% Jewish, but that was the requirement for Nazi persecution. If the Nazis reached other parts of the world, where there are Jews that aren’t white, they would’ve killed them also. So Whoopi’s comments aren’t accurate. I am surprised that no one, not even conservatives like Ben Shapiro ever mention Jews that aren’t white. Mizrahi Jews, Sephardic, Indian, Ethiopian Jews. The reason Jews are considered a people and not just a religion is because they all come from the same place from some time ago. That’s why when a Jew converts to another religion, racists or prejudice people will always view them as a Jew that they hate, regardless of their religious practice.

Kim Kardashian's Comments - Milman Podcast
Follow me on instagram: @michaelmilman Kim Kardashian has said something that quite frankly pissed me off. Get your F’n ass up and work. I am not the only one that is upset with this. She has gotten a lot of heat for that comment. Now people can argue asking what is wrong with that? I suppose it’s two things. It’s A) your tone and B) it’s coming from you, Kim Kardashian of all people. Let me explain. I always thought she wasn't a good role model for young ladies around the globe. In my opinion, I feel that when the youth watches her, they feel like they can live a glamorous lifestyle without working hard. The American dream used to be about having a job, working hard, having a family, a house, pets, cars, and vacationing. Former President Obama himself addressed this. And in result, Kim’s mom, Kris, defended her daughter by saying that she is the hardest working lady in the world. I doubt that. The youth looks up to Kim by following her on social media and watching her reality show trying to emulate her lifestyle. And because it is a reality show, people believe that this can be their reality as well rather than just entertainment. Now if the youth does want a Kim kind of a lifestyle, they must realize that it’ll be a lot harder for most of them to have it. Let’s not forget how Kim got famous after all. Again, bad role model. I don’t want to mention any names here, but a famous celebrity’s daughter has done a few pornographic films because she wanted to be in the spotlight like Kim, but that actually failed for her. Unfortunately, realistically, not everyone can live this kind of lifestyle. Not everyone is born to a wealthy family. Not everyone can be a socialite. Instead of chasing luxury and fame, the youth should be chasing an education, a healthy career path, and a productive way of making a living. It is awesome that Kim K is living the life that she’s happy living. It is awesome that she was born to a rich family and has opportunity that others don’t. It is awesome that she’s making a ton of money. I have no problems with that. What I do have a problem with is when she compares her situation to an average person.
