These can be really simple such as taking a walk, drinking a glass of water, doing mindful breathing or meditation, etc. Anytime you feel stressed, worried, angry, sad, hopeless, etc. (there's a lot of emotions that can surface during the waiting period!) set a timer for 1 minute. During that minute you get to sit there, feel your feelings, and acknowledge them. When the timer goes off you get up and do something from your nourishing list. This process acknowledges how you're feeling, but it also helps you move forward with something positive.Practice mindful breathing during the next week.
