Best Parental Control App - Bark App Review

Here’s how I use Bark with my own kids and why it’s been such a game changer: (try bark right here https://barkparentalcontrols.pxf.io/c/5160003/2153860/17000)Comprehensive Monitoring: Bark monitors texts, emails, YouTube, and even 30+ social media platforms. But the best part? It flags potential issues like cyberbullying, inappropriate content, online predators, or signs of depression or anxiety. I can’t tell you how relieved I was when Bark caught a concerning text exchange before it became a bigger issue. Yes, you can monitor kids text messages, with a degree of privacy for them. Custom Alerts: This is where the app shines for moms who don’t have time to micromanage every app or conversation. Bark sends you a notification only if something needs your attention. That means I don’t have to waste time scrolling through endless messages or posts—it’s already done for me!Balance Between Safety and Privacy: One thing I’m always conscious of is how I approach my kids’ privacy. I want them to have freedom, but I also want to protect them. Bark strikes the perfect balance by not spying on every detail but giving me enough insight when something’s off. It helps create trust between you and your kids, so they don’t feel like you’re constantly “big brother-ing” their every move.In my opinion Bark is much better than Qustudio or Famisafe based on how dedicated they are to keeping kids safe online. What kind of phone is a Bark Phone? In short, it's an Android. Throwing everything I own away

Now, I know that phrase, “throwing everything I own away,” can sound a little drastic. But I’m here to tell you that in 2013, as a family of five, we did exactly that. We packed up a single suitcase for each of us and moved from Alaska to Florida, leaving behind all the clutter. It was a monumental shift for my family, one that I had no idea would lead to such profound mental health benefits.Let me walk you through how we did it, why we did it, and what it changed for me, especially as a mom.► 💻ONE OF THE VERY FIRST THINGS I DID AFTER I DECLUTTERED WAS START THERAPY. HERE'S A GREAT ONLINE COUNSELING TO TRY: https://onlinetherapy.go2cloud.org/aff_c?offer_id=2&aff_id=4059There are a lot of online therapy platforms out there, and this one I trust. I will be completing an online-therapy.com review shortly, and doing it in comparison to my betterhelp review. It's hard to find an online counselor you can trust, and I know recommendations like this can be really helpful. Therapy online has become very normal, and useful, especially for moms. ► 💻 GET THE BEST DECLUTTERING COURSES FOR MOMS: » https://motherhoodsimplified.com/11 » https://motherhoodsimplified.com/decluttering-simplified-2024► 🌟 JOIN OUR FAMILY: » YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/@motherhoodsimplifiedinc » INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/motherhood_simplified » BLOG: https://motherhoodsimplified.com/blog » FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2010014145929427► 💻 READ THE BLOG POST: » https://motherhoodsimplified.com/throwing-everything-i-own-away__________► 📋 FREE 30-PAGE DECLUTTERING CHECKLIST: » https://motherhoodsimplified.com/not► 🌱 FREE DECLUTTERING CHALLENGE: » Sign up here: https://motherhoodsimplified.com/ghost►💰FREE DIY DECLUTTERING PLAN: » Grab here: https://motherhoodsimplified.com/DIY__________► 💻 MORE BLOG POSTS TO READ: » Declutter Your Home In 5 Simple Steps https://motherhoodsimplified.com/declutter-your-home-in-5-steps/ » How to Stop Buying Clutterhttps://motherhoodsimplified.com/stop-buying-clutter/ » Responsible Decluttering: An Honest Conversation About Goodwill https://motherhoodsimplified.com/radically-responsible-decluttering-a-conversation-about-goodwill/► 🍿 MORE RELATED VIDEOS: » Ghost Your Clutter Playlist: • https://youtu.be/Eqv6Z9uyLag?si=YshR9p6ZJKdYLhnc » Clear Your Clutter Playlist: • https://youtu.be/QRs5TbOUmLY?si=nyQfp8a6FQVImDl5 » Clutter Chronicles Playlist: • https://youtu.be/-dkva4_7srM?si=MoP_OmUSglkH91jc__________► FAVORITE RECOMMENDATIONS Online Therapy - https://onlinetherapy.go2cloud.org/aff_c?offer_id=2&aff_id=4059 Bark parental control app for kids https://www.bark.us/?ref=SIMPLIFY__________ABOUT MOTHERHOOD SIMPLIFIEDI’m a mom just like you who has decluttered her entire home. Episode links:How to make your home your home peaceful, creative and easy to clean upFor show notes and resources mentioned in today's episode, head to https://motherhoodsimplified.com/3-ways-i-help-my-kids-declutter1. I tell them openly about why I am getting rid of my own things. Today I got rid of some things and told her it was because I didn't have time to use it any more, and someone else would love to use it. 2. I talk about why sometimes we have to get rid of their things - like they're too small, they're worn out. 3. I talk about all the things we have and love and why we have them, how we use them and how much we appreciate them. My idea behind this is that it’s normal to talk about what we keep, why we keep it and have contrast for things we don’t and why we don’t keep it. She still struggles to let things go, but today when I told her I was getting something that the entire family really thought was pretty cool, it ultimately is something I was keeping for the ideal version of myself I want to be but just am not right now. I know I couldn't tell her that much detail so I just kept it at "we don't have time to use it and someone else will really love to use it!" and she was satisfied. It also helped me let it go too.

    Why is decluttering so hard?

When we decluttered down to one suitcase each, here are some things you need to know about that.Episode links:How to make your home your home peaceful, creative and easy to clean upFor show notes and resources mentioned in today's episode, head to https://motherhoodsimplified.com/why-i-decluttered-everything1. We did it because it was the best option for us at the time. Logistically it made the most sense. 1. It was really hard. I had no concept about how much we had, or how much fit into a suitcase. 2. No one wanted my stuff. Straight up, no one wanted it, needed it or would take it. 3. Would I do it again? Under those circumstances, absolutely. Just because? Probably not. 4. Do I think others should do it? Maybe. What I think people should really take away from it are these two things: 1. you're going to have to trash things. 2. You're going to get familiar with what and how much you really have. And it will surprise you.

The biggest misunderstanding about decluttering as a mom

This is the top misunderstanding I see moms have that holds them back from decluttering. Episode links:How to make your home your home peaceful, creative and easy to clean upFor show notes and resources mentioned in today's episode, head to https://motherhoodsimplified.com/biggest-misconception-about-decluttering-as-a-momFor show notes and resources mentioned in today's episode, head to Here's the problem with being introduced to a totally new idea or concept:People don't know how to understand it, and often don't trust it will actually work - or last.Especially these days where we're exposed to trends that come and go in days.No one understood what the Nugget couch was when it first came out - it's a couch your kids can rearrange AND it's super comfy? I don't understand. Then you saw it, and maybe got one (or two) and were like OMG THIS IS A GAME CHANGER!The same is true when moms learn about Decluttering Simplified and thinking it's "just another checklist" or thinking that decluttering is something you should just know how to do without any true skills being taught to you. If decluttering was as easy as piecing together random checklists, and just getting rid of you stuff, we all would have done it by now right?  (By the way.. how are those random checklists, and attempts to do it on your own working out? Not so great I'm guessing, I see it all the time and everyone does it at some point!)Haphazardly trying to declutter with patchwork information you've found in random places and just moving things from place to place indefinitely isn't how you declutter a home, and keep it that way. What does?Implementing a step by step process that follows tried and true decluttering strategies that both remove your clutter, AND gets to the root of incoming clutter. It’s called Decluttering Simplified because I have truly made decluttering as simple as possible for you in this program - especially if you are a mom. You know nothing about motherhood is simplified, so you need a program that IS. It’s a full approach to clutter in your home - including reducing what comes in, managing what you keep, and learning to let things go when it’s time. It’s not just a checklist to get rid of things once because you will always have things coming in, which means they will always be going out. It’s all about learning the things about managing a home and stuff as a parent that you NEVER learned growing up. It’s transforming the way you raise your kids and teach them about consumption, personal responsibility and decision making, and caring for what you have and how you spend your time and energy. Decluttering Simplified teaches you to value your time, your energy and advocate for yourself and ultimately get to the root of ALL waste.  And teaches you how to balance your needs with the needs of your family so you aren’t the only one doing the work inside of the home.If that sounds like you, then go get into Decluttering Simplified. You don't want to miss this opportunity to enroll!Edit*By the way, I truly mean “If this is you.” There are PLENTY of people who want to cut corners or just organize the clutter in their home. Those are NOT the people we want in the Decluttering Simplified. There’s work to be done. But if you’re ready to commit to it, I am here to give you all of the steps and support you need to make it happen.I was so surprised at how well all of the tiny projects in the course built so much momentum. I made progress WAY faster than I expected, and I have been able to keep the excess down.

What it's really like to declutter with kids at home

Listen in on what it was like when I decluttered my home with 3 kids, by myself while working outside the home 10 hours a day. Episode links:How to make your home your home peaceful, creative and easy to clean upFor show notes and resources mentioned in today's episode, head to https://motherhoodsimplified.com/3-reasons-decluttering-cant-waitLet me tell you about the worst day I had when I decluttered our home in 2013 down to what fit into our suitcases. The general circumstances are this:I had 3 kids, 7, 4 & 2 years old.I owned a small preschool where I cared for children for 5 families during the hours of 7am-5pm. Which meant for 10 hours a day I was on site 30 minutes from home.My husband was living 4,500 miles away in our new home state of Florida (I was in Alaska). We had one month to have everything we own fit into a suitcase, and with such short notice I had very little help available for childcare or decluttering (a big physical task). So, those circumstances alone are like WTF impossible, right?I got it done, so definitely possible, but totally bananas. One night after I put the kids to bed I was supposed to be sorting through piles (again) to coordinate selling, and pack away for either donation or the dump.I had started my period, that day every single kid at the school (and my own) must have been taken over by some full moon or something, I don't know and I just could. not. move.Literally laid in the middle of my floor and just stared at all the work I had to do and got not a single thing done that night. Not only did I get nothing done, but I cried. For so many reasons I cried. Fear of letting all of our stuff was the biggest reason. I thought I was making an irresponsible and terrible mistake (it wasn't).As well as a whole lot of other emotions like resentment, grief over leaving the only place I had ever called home, and worry about the impact it would have on my kids. The good news is that I was able to do it. And I came out ahead - so far ahead that almost a decade later I am STILL reaping the benefits of that experience.A big part of you is probably wondering if you can declutter your home and finally be able to walk into it without seeing all the unfinished work you have to do.And my answer is, YES, you can. You absolutely can.Even if you have kids at home, work a lot, don't have a supportive day to day partner, worry about not having enough or whatever it might be for you.I have been able to simplify my decluttering process into one that works for moms no matter their circumstances.I did it under super extreme conditions and while yours might be different, they're still workable IF you have the right system and plan in place. And IF you are willing to take that first step. And more on that in just a bitBut first I have another story to tell you tomorrow - so check back tomorrow to check that out, you're going to love it.

3 reasons decluttering cannot wait if you are a mom

This episode discusses why decluttering cannot keep being pushed to the bottom of your to do list. Episode links:How to make your home your home peaceful, creative and easy to clean upFor show notes and resources mentioned in today's episode, head to https://motherhoodsimplified.com/3-reasons-decluttering-cant-waitI’m a highly empathic and compassionate person. Every personality test I take proves that time and time again, so know that what I am about to say comes from a deep place of knowing that sometimes the most compassionate thing you can do is tell a truth. Here goes...If you don't declutter your home, and prioritize clearing out the stuff that is causing you excessive and unnecessary stress, burden and feelings of anxiety...Your one season of motherhood will flash before your eyes and you will miss so much of it.And not only that, all the beautiful gifts you want to give your children like your time, patience and life lessons that will serve them as adults will fall short. And if you are currently overwhelmed by the heaviness clutter brings to your as a mother, you are not alone and nothing is wrong with you.You have just been born in a time where that is NORMAL and accepted for mothers.Everywhere you look it's buy more, get more, you need BETTER stuff. It's gifted to you, and it's not only a conscious message we get... it is deeply embedded into our society right now.No other generation has faced the intensity that we do now with social media, a total restructuring of pretty much every major aspect of our society, family roles and pressure to live a highlight reel. That's not your faultBut it is your responsibility to change it once you're aware of it. So that you can step over to the other side where:You can live in a way that feels like you are deeply caring for your family, yourself, your home and everything in it, especially the people. You have the patience your kids need from you (most days). You raise kids who WANT to come home after they’re grown.Undo generational habits and stories you carried into your life that you don’t want your kids to carry into their adulthood.Value your time and energy and balance that with all of the unpredictable and urgent needs of motherhood - without the guilt.Release the resentment and heaviness you feel in your home and toward your family because of pointless messes.See a clear direction for your life, how you’ll be able to support and encourage your kids in finding their own direction instead of being all consumed by the daily busy work.Be able to just walk into a room, and relax instead of seeing piles of stuff and work you need to do.Live in a home where it’s easy to get help from your family because it’s simple enough to manage and still has all the things everyone want’s and needs. All of that sounds like not just a dream, but like a deeply fulfilling season of motherhood right? Well, it's true and possible for your real life.Take a minute to think about what all of that would REALLY be like for you.Pull out a piece of paper and make a list of all the things that would be different for you if you only had HALF of those benefits of decluttering I just laid out above. How much easier and more fun would being a mom be for you on a daily basis?Spend some time thinking about it, because I have something fun O coming for you tomorrow. Even better hit reply, and let me know what you're most excited about when you declutter!Krista
