The parable of the prodigal son represents God's love and mercy for us, especially when we return back to Him from being far away. Joy is a forced decision from the heart and it is an act of faith to walk in joy. Although the world will try to condition us to walk in fear and spew negativity, we must activate our faith and operate with joy and thankfulness. Even in trial and tribulation, there are a multitude of things to be thankful for. Paul and Silas gave us an example of being joyful when they were beaten and sent to prison. With great anointing comes great responsibility, Samson was given a great anointing by God to be a judge of Israel. But because of his lack of self-control, this strong man lost his anointing, was compromised and then captured by the Gentile nation of the Philistines. In Samson, we can see a reflection of ourselves; broken and incomplete. Like Samson, when we're out of the will of God, we can become compromised in areas where we have no self-mastery. Samson's life is not just a story to be taught in Sunday School, we can compare the rise and fall of Samson to ourselves individually and to our society. Samson's anointing was not just physical strength, but was also anointed to be a righteous judge of Israel. Like Samson, we all have a calling on our lives, but our anointing an be lost by self-indulgence, which Delilah and the Philistines took advantage of. Likewise, an anointing on a nation can be removed when society rejects Christian values. Holidays and festivals bring to remembrance God's deliverance. Christmas-time is a for rest, a festive time memorializing the birth of our Messiah, Jesus Christ. As Christians, we should be merry in this season because our Savior was born to us, we should be joyful that we have been redeemed, we should be spreading hope because we are not destined for wrath. There is a wealth of reasons to be jubilant about Christmas. Even if we don't "feel" the joy or merriment of this time, let our actions  and words reflect otherwise. "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." Biblical prophecy is encouraging and comforting, it tells us where we are and where we are headed. We know that judgement is coming and it will terrify those who live through it, but we who are made clean by the blood of the Lamb, have nothing to fear. Until then, what we are witnessing right now is just like to what was happening in the days of Noah; the earth filled with violence (Matt 24:37 & Gen 6:13). The violence we are witnessing is merely the tip of the iceberg; during the tribulation it will be greater. The bible brings reason and hope. The hope of the Word of God is not like the world's hope; biblical hope is eternal and looks forward to the future, while the hope of this world is carnal and fears the future. Even when it seems dark or nothing is happening, we know can trust in God and that He has not forgotten about us. God says in Isaiah 1, "Let us reason together," and that's Him telling us that our sins is washed away and that Jesus paid the price to redeem us, it isn't God's will for us to bear our iniquities. When we know our sins are forgiven, we can come boldly before the throne in prayer, hopeful that we are worthy and will be heard. And our prayers not only benefit ourselves, but society and those around us. All we have to do is humble ourselves before God on a consistent basis so pride cannot dissolve the grace God gives us. “'Come now, and let us reason together,' Says YAHWEH, 'Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool." In Genesis 12 God places a tremendous blessing upon Abraham and his seed, and prophetically promises to bless all the families in the earth through Abraham. When we read Paul's letter to the Galatians, we are told that the blessing of Abraham is also for those who are of faith, in other words, those who have received Jesus as Lord and Savior. So, centuries prior, God had a plan to bless not just Abraham's biological seed, but Christian gentiles as well. When we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior we become part of God's household, and in turn, we become strangers and aliens to the world and to the flesh. The righteous actions we make as Christians, not only separate us from the world, but encourage other Christians to also make godly choices. There are no earthly goods, benefits, assets, or pleasures that can compare to the Word of God and the kingdom of heaven. God's Word does so much for us as Christians; it changes our heart and mind, it gives us the keys to the kingdom of heaven on earth, it provides us with prophecy of the future, and it shows us how to walk out the purpose God gave us. We are all God's workmanship, and we all have purpose and a vision to walk out from God. The enemy has other plans, and he'll send distractions to pull us away form our path or away from God. God creates man in His image; no other creature have the capabilities or nature that God put in mankind. Pastor David Gonzalez explains God establishing the sexes and marriage, how God expects man to care for and adopt the wife He gave him, and also to take care of the creation that God put under his dominion. In the first part of the day, God creates land animals out of the earth. God creates the swarms of animals in the seas and the flying creatures of land. God creates the sun, moon, stars, and the rest of the planets. God sets His new planets and stars into motion creating cosmic time clocks, indicating seasons as days, weeks, months, and years. God makes dry land appear, the water erosion cuts valleys and mountain ranges on a Pangea, then God creates mature plants and vegetation for His future creation to live on.
