A peaceful planet faces invasion, pulling two Jedi into a political crisis that may be more dangerous than it first appears. Along the way, they meet a gifted young boy with an unusually strong connection to the Force. The movie focuses on destiny, politics, hidden threats, and the beginning of larger events. Original Review: Qui-Gon's ship is in desperate need of repair. Qui-Gon needs to find the parts to fix it, and unfortunately, they're in short supply. The closest place that he can find what he needs is a planet called Tatooine. Once he arrives, he immediately runs into difficulty with the method of payment that he has. A new friend is about to come to the rescue in an unusual way. There is something special about this new friend, he is just a kid... Yet there seems to be something about him. A deal is made, and now everything rides on the results of a race. When the race is over, there is a clear winner, but winning comes at a cost. A choice must now be made that will determine the future of the republic. This prequel to the original storyline comes sixteen (16) years after the last movie. You may find yourself asking why they waited so long, then upon watching this, you may ask yourself why they bothered. Though this brings a lot of information to the story, it is lacking in many areas. The story is choppy and just does not have flow. Some of the characters are developed well and others are well... forgettable. They say once you hit bottom, you can only go up from there, this was far from the bottom but as far as the story goes, it's pretty far down on the list. Definitely not a must-see, but unfortunately crucial in the completion of the story. When the animals take over the farm, what starts as a dream of fairness and equality slowly turns into a sharp reminder that power can change anyone holding it. This takes the classic “are we alone?” question into a grounded, human-scale thriller about fear, truth, and what people do when the impossible suddenly feels real. The Rebellion prepares for a major confrontation with the Empire while Luke continues to face the challenges of his Jedi path. The film brings together rescue missions, space battles, forest-world adventure, and the emotional struggle between light and darkness. It has a more mythic feeling. Almost as if this is the end of the story... hmmm we know it's not but back then they attempted to wrap it up with this.  Original Review: Loyalty and intrigue have been the basis for the idea since the beginning. This does not disappoint. All of the characters that we know and love have returned. There are some complications that have arisen from the knowledge that was gained at the end of "The Empire Strikes Back", but that hasn't stopped them from doing what was needed. A daring rescue mission is necessary before they can move forward. Upon completion of that, they face a new set of challenges. The resurrection of something from their past has the potential to undo all they have done for the Rebel Alliance. That doesn't stop the dark side from moving forward, though. Luke will find himself face-to-face with a situation that will challenge all that he knows. His decision will impact the past, present, and future of the alliances. Aside from that, the rest of the team works together to do what must be done in order to succeed in their mission. We do get to meet some new friends along the way that assist our friends on their mission. This third installment of this story seems to have wrapped it up. That can't be all there is, though... Can it??? Some hints to some romantic involvements might lead to something more. There are also some familial bonds that are created that add even more intrigue to this epic saga. Will it be pursued? Original Review: The Rebel Alliance has come a long ways since we last saw them two years ago. They are doing their best to establish themselves to train and learn all that is needed. When those who come after them learn of their locations, it becomes an intense battle. Though they're able to escape, they don't escape together. Luke decides to go off on his own journey to find a Jedi Master. He doesn't go alone, though; a friend has gone with him. The rest of the team goes off in a different direction, doing so will end up putting them in great peril. Luke finds the Jedi Master and begins to learn what is necessary to fulfill his destiny. Only just as he begins to get a grasp on what is necessary, he is needed elsewhere. Rather than staying and completing his training, he goes off to save his friends. Once there, he comes face to face with someone who knows something about his past. When the secret is revealed, it will change Luke forever. This second installment in this saga gives us a lot more to ponder. We are invited into their worlds and into what makes each of them who they are. This seems to be only the beginning of a great saga that is yet to unfold. Where can they go from here? The opportunities are endless... Though this is outside of the previous trilogy, it stands to make it's own statement. Will it be for everyone? No, but for a particular audience, this will be an adventure.  Original Review: Throughout history, man has recorded events through writings, pictures, and any other means available. In ancient Egypt, they did so in hieroglyphics; all of their history was recorded and left for the world to see. That is, except for one particular detail. A single person, singled out and erased from history. What could this person have done to warrant this? You'll soon find out. Two military personnel are sent out on assignment, and they have a detour in mind that will take them on an adventure of a lifetime. What they find is beyond their wildest dreams. This discovery will alter the lives of all involved. Are they ready? Is the world? This mummy movie appears to be independent of the previous trilogy. In this 3rd installment of the Mummy series, it goes a bit off topic but remains true to the story. It's an adventure that is still entertaining but as it tries to engage the audience with a different story, it does so in a way that will create a divide amongst fans.  Original Review: The O'Connell's are back again, only this time they're almost unrecognizable. It has been many years since we saw them last in their effort to save their son. Now he's all grown up and has taken after his dad in all of the wrong ways. As Rick and Evie attempt to get themselves back on track, they struggle with trying to even fathom the track that their son is on. His adventures go even further than those of his dad, considering all of Rick's adventures, that's truly saying something. There will be an unexpected assistant that will help him along the way but not before placing him in peril, to begin with. Once again, the story revolves around a mythical city that no one is supposed to know about, plus, a mythical fountain that is known around the world. What do these things have in common, that will reveal itself as the story is told. This third (3rd) installment in the Mummy series continues the story but in doing so it also disconnects itself with some obvious changes. Though not for everyone, it wraps the story up in an unconventional way. Will there be any more to come? Who knows, but knowing the O'Connell's... I have learned to never say never. The sequel to the 1999 The Mummy movie that captivated audiences around the world. Though this continues the story, it's a bit clunky at times. One is a daredevil and the other a scholar, yet together they bring a balance to one another. Last time we saw them, they barely escaped the mythical city of Hamunaptra with their lives. Now the stakes are higher than ever. Why? Because this time it's their son that's in peril. You see, his curiosity got the best of him, and now he is attached (literally) to an item that could change the world forever. The only hope is to get him to another mythical spot before it's too late. Only there's a problem, one side is fighting to get him to safety, and the other side is fighting just as hard to arrive at the same location for a much more sinister reason. The only thing they have in common is the boy. There are many tie-ins to the last story and a continuation that seems almost confusing at times. The story appears to go in multiple directions all the while trying to stay focused at the same time. This sequel to the 1999 The Mummy movie is entertaining throughout, even though it leaves much to be desired at the same time. Some will love it, others will hate it. This is the story of an expedition to explore the mythical city of Hamunaptra. Those that have been searching for it will do anything to find it. Those who have been there, are reluctant to return. This is where we meet Evie and Rick, Evie is a Bembridge scholar who is versed in book knowledge. Rick, on the other hand, is a brash and brutish free thinker that prefers to act first and think later. An unlikely situation will bring them together when it is revealed that Rick knows where the city is, Evie cannot resist the urge to explore it further. Together, they venture out for the adventure of a lifetime. What neither of them realizes is they're about to awaken something (or someone) who was never intended to be awoken. How that game is selected is a bit of a game as well. The card that is drawn literally places her life on the line. What should be a simple game of hide and seek becomes survival of the fittest. As in any game, there are winners and losers. How it all plays out is intricately evil while being intense throughout. This story is not for the faint at heart. There are violent and gory situations throughout the entire story. When the truth behind what really started this tradition is revealed, the line between winners and losers will be forever blurred. What are the rules of a Trilogy? If you are a fan of Scream, come along and find out. Even if you aren't a fan, this might surprise you.  Original Review: Life has come a long way since the Woodsboro murders. The Stab movies have been a success so far and the filming of Stab 3 has just begun. Sidney has moved on with her life and lives a life of quiet seclusion. With the filming of Stab 3, some of the characters have been recast; as a result, the actors/actresses are turning to the original survivors for inspiration. Only, someone decides to take it to the next level and Ghostface once again reigns his terror on those involved. In order to understand what is happening, the local law enforcement calls upon the original survivors for insight into the case. As the details begin to play out, there are details that will surprise even the most sleuthful audience. When those details are revealed, it will prove that no matter how far we run, we can never outrun our past. Who will survive this 3rd installment (trilogy?) and is this the last of Ghostface? The story seems to come full circle but knowing how the story has gone so far we have to wonder if there won't be more to come. Are you a SCREAM fan? if so, you know who survived and who didn't in the first installment. Be careful, though. Sometimes what you know isn't what you think you know. These stories are nothing if not creative when it comes to the idea of whodunnit... So what will we get here? Let's find out.  Original Review: Sidney and her friends have moved on with their lives and are acclimating to college life. The story of what happened in Woodsboro has been developed into a movie and is causing havoc in the lives of the survivors. When the killings start again, they are reliving the terrors once again. Is this merely a copycat or is there more to the connection to Woodsboro than they realize? As they explore both ideas, some friends from the past come to help. Finding the killer this time will be much harder than they realize. The killings seem much more random this time but something doesn't feel quite right. As Sidney and her friends start to figure out a plan to solve the mystery, a twist will throw everything off track. Once they get back on track, the killer is revealed along with the reasons for what has been happening. Is this the end of the story? We'll have to wait and see.
