DJ Sight (@dj_sight) representing Tokyo, Japan and Mr. And-7 from Scruniversal Records once met in one of the stores, in Tokyo and found a common interest in Cuban and Latin music. This is the first official breaking mix from Mr. And-7 consisting of funk, soul, disco and latin music which was recorded at the end of November 2007 and was released in limited edition on CD.

The long-awaited and possibly the first full-length album from Moscow producer Mr. And-7. The path was laid back in 2007, when he bought rare vinyl records with funk and soul music of the early 70s. At the end of 2019, when I was searchin vinyl records of rare blues and rock, I found a very rare original press of Belgian band Freckleface. The composition from this record "When Darkness Fades Away" was immediately appreciated by me as a real diamond of psychedelic blues of those times. The dark stretching notes of the guitars and the stunning vocals of Paul Mary Alfred helped me make my version of the track within an hour. Very fast work with excellent house groove. It was a really rare private press group and so I was sure that no one used samples of this group. Collaboration work of two Russian producers, namely Roman Goryachev aka @iamrayme and Andrey Veretennikov aka @mrand7. A very positive downtempo soul with the influence of new trends and old school influences has borne resultat. Guys present to you with two versions to choose from yourself you likes.

I'd like to start this year with my favorite music such as funk, jazz and soul. Not quite famous or rare stuff sounds here. I mixed something I hadn't noticed before. That's what matters to me. 50 minutes of lovely music.

Killer track from musician Don Randi which was produced by David Axelrod in 1969. Loop from this track is also well known from DJ Renegade (UK). Enjoy.

The tracks were written back in early 2018 and served to further develop the term "Acid Funk." Sounds were used with the band 's rarest Deep Heat disc and classic among the dancers b-boy track Calypso Rock from the Original Tropicana Steel Band.
