Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.             Ephesians 6:10-18 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood...        Ephesians 6:12 Stand Strong In The Lord’s StrengthSuit Up With God’s ArmorJesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life."       John 14:6Get Proficient In The Offensive Weapons God Has Given YouIf you only open your Bible on Sunday, your sword is already rusted by Tuesday. Finally, pray in the Spirit on all occasions  Tactical Briefing for the Week (Weekly Challenge)     The battle is real but the enemy is defeated! We don’t fight for victory we fight from victory!• Suit up before you sync up - Shield yourself before you expose yourself to the noise of the world.• Sharpen your scriptural machaira (dagger) – Identify Your Biggest Battle and attack it with a verse.• Send the SOS text – Lock shields with a Christian friend.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.          Romans 12:1-2 Worship Begins with Surrender So Present Your Bodies as a Living Sacrifice Worship Involves Transformation So Be Renewed in Your Mind Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.      Romans 12:2a Worship Leads to Discernment and Delight in God’s Will “Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.         Romans 12:2b Reflection:  What is the one area of your life where you’ve been sitting on the sidelines?

Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.     Luke 11:1Prayer Is a Habit You Cultivate Not a Skill You Pick Up OvernightOnce Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” 2 Jesus said, “This is how you should pray: “Father, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. 3 Give us each day the food we need, 4 and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation.”         Luke 11:1-4Lord's Prayer First, GodSecond, AlignmentThird, DependenceFourth, ForgivenessFifth, Guidance Persistence in Prayer Unlocks Power5 Then, teaching them more about prayer, he used this story: “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. You say to him, 6 ‘A friend of mine has just arrived for a visit, and I have nothing for him to eat.’ 7 And suppose he calls out from his bedroom, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is locked for the night, and my family and I are all in bed. I can’t help you.’ 8 But I tell you this—though he won’t do it for friendship’s sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence."        Luke 11:5-89 “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.         Luke 11:9-1013 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.        Luke 11:13Prayer Transforms the Prayed For and the One Who PraysSo I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.      Luke 11:9A. Prayer connects you to God’s Kingdom workFor everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.      Luke 11:10D. 11  There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. Hebrews 5:1112  For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food. Hebrews 5:1213  For everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is achild. 14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernmenttrained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:13-14Spiritual Immaturity Is Dangerous14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves todistinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:14Put Your Excuses to Death22  Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22Doing the Word Is Just As Important As Knowing the Word22  But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are onlyfooling yourselves.  23  For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror.  24  You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.  25  But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. James 1:22-2523  For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in amirror.  24  You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. James 1:23-2425  But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!    2 Corinthians 5:17. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”             Ephesians 4:22-24 Put Off the Old You & Let Go of Your Past Labels If You Will Renew Your Mind God Will Change the Way You See Yourself Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.         Romans 6:3-4 When You Put On the New You, You Will Live Out Your New Identity …put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.     Ephesians 4:24  This Week’s Challenge: • Identify One Old Label• Renew Your Mind • Put On the New Self• Renew Your Mind • Put On the New Self

God Wants To Interrupt Your LifeMeanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.         Acts 9:1-2 Jesus Wants You To See Him for Who He Really IsAs he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?’ “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” - Acts 9:3-6The Resurrection Changes Your PerspectiveThe men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes, he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.         Acts 9:7-9 Jesus Calls You To SurrenderGo, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles… Acts  9:15Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.   Matthew 11:28 Behold, I stand at the door and I knock, and if you'll hear my voice and open the door, I will come in.       Revelation 3:20

5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. 6 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. 9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.         Philippians 2:5-11#1: He Descended Before He Delivered6 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.  Philippians 2:6#2: He Took On What We Try to Escape7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,          Philippians 2:7#3: Jesus Is Exalted Because He Embraced Humility 8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. 9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names,          Philippians 2:8-9 #4: His Name Is Above Every Name Because He Went Below Every Namethat at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.      Philippians 2:10-11 Practical Application Steps 1. Identify One Area to Release Control.2. Practice a Daily Act of Hidden Humility.3. Embrace Weakness Instead of Hiding It.4. Worship as a Way of Bowing Low.5. Serve someone who can’t pay you back.

28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.      Romans 8:28 “And we know”“Everything”“God causes”“For the good”8 When the king of Aram was at war with Israel, he would confer with his officers and say, “We will mobilize our forces at such and such a place.” 9 But immediately Elisha, the man of God, would warn the king of Israel, “Do not go near that place, for the Arameans are planning to mobilize their troops there.” 10 So the king of Israel would send word to the place indicated by the man of God. Time and again Elisha warned the king, so that he would be on the alert there. 11 The king of Aram became very upset over this. He called his officers together and demanded, “Which of you is the traitor? Who has been informing the king of Israel of my plans?” 12 “It’s not us, my lord the king,” one of the officers replied. “Elisha, the prophet in Israel, tells the king of Israel even the words you speak in the privacy of your bedroom!” 13 “Go and find out where he is,” the king commanded, “so I can send troops to seize him.” And the report came back: “Elisha is at Dothan.” 14 So one night the king of Aram sent a great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city. 15 When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha. 16 “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!”    2 Kings 6:8-16God Works in the Background While We Wait in the Foreground2 Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forever.        Psalms 125:216 “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!”   2 Kings 6:16There’s More Going On Than You Can See17 Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.     2 Kings 6:17      The Middle is Where Trust is StrengthenedYour View Doesn’t Determine God’s Plan  Action Steps: What Do I Do When I Can’t See It?1. Pray for Vision, Not Just Victory2. Rehearse God’s Resume3. Stay in the Story4. Choose Trust Over Clarity

Exodus 14:10–31The Middle Exposes Our Fear10 As Pharaoh approached, the people of Israel looked up and panicked when they saw the Egyptians overtaking them. They cried out to the Lord,11 and they said to Moses, “Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness? Weren’t there enough graves for us in Egypt? What have you done to us? Why did you make us leave Egypt?”        Exodus 14:10-11The Middle Forces Us To Stop Relying On Ourselves13 But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. 14 The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”           Exodus 14:13–14The Middle Is Where Miracles Happen15 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! 16 Pick up your staff and raise your hand over the sea. Divide the water so the Israelites can walk through the middle of the sea on dry ground…….. 21 Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land.      Exodus 14:15-21 22So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side.         Exodus 14:22The Same Path That Saves You Will Drown The Enemy28 Then the waters returned and covered all the chariots and charioteers—the entire army of Pharaoh. Of all the Egyptians who had chased the Israelites into the sea, not a single one survived.           Exodus 14:28Action Steps1. Name your middle.2. Change your posture.3. Move forward when God says move.4. Let God deal with what’s chasing you.

You Are Fragile But You Are Also Filled We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.         2 Corinthians 4:7 The Pressure Is Real But So Is The Presence of God We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.       2 Corinthians 4:8-9 What’s Killing You is Producing Glory 10 Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.11 Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. 12 So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you. 13 But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, “I believed in God, so I spoke.” 14 We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. 15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. 16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.     2 Corinthians 4:10-18 Look Up, Hold On, Stay Together So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.        2 Corinthians 4:18  When Life Gets Heavy A) Look UpB) Hold On C) Stay Together

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. 3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. 38 Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” 39 When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Peace! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.40 Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18 But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” 19 Nebuchadnezzar was so furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that his face became distorted with rage. 12 So Hathach gave Esther’s message to Mordecai. 13 Mordecai sent this reply to Esther: “Don’t think for a moment that because you’re in the palace you will escape when all other Jews are killed.14 If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God. 2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up. 3 “This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.”       Exodus 3:1-3GOD MEETS US IN THE ORDINARY TO REVEAL THE EXTRAORDINARY2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement.         Exodus 3:2aThough the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up.      Exodus 3:2b3 “This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.”     Exodus 3:3GOD CALLS THE INSECURE AND THE UNLIKELY4 When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, “Moses! Moses!” “Here I am!” Moses replied. 5 “Do not come any closer,” the Lord warned. “Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground. 6 I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” When Moses heard this, he covered his face because he was afraid to look at God. 7 Then the Lord told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey—the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live. 9 Look! The cry of the people of Israel has reached me, and I have seen how harshly the Egyptians abuse them. 10 Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.” 11 But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?”      Exodus 3:4–11THE CALL BEGINS WITH “I AM,” NOT “YOU WILL”12 God answered, “I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.”13 But Moses protested, “If I go to the people of Israel and tell them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ they will ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what should I tell them?” 14 God replied to Moses, “I am who I am. Say this to the people of Israel: I am has sent me to you.”      Exodus 3:12–14 Action Steps for this Week:    Action Step 1- Turn and Listen to God – Carve out time each day to pray, slow down, and ask God what are you showing me today? Action Step 2- Step forward with what you have. God will be with you – Take one courageous step trusting not in your ability but God’s presence.Action Step 3- Trust the Name of I AM in Every Situation – Write down one challenge you are facing. Next to it write, I AM is with me. Say it out loud every day. Let it shift your mindset and anchor your trust.

Anchor Verse: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with me.          Revelation 3:20Jesus Walks With the Disappointed. 13 That same day two of Jesus’ followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them. 16 But God kept them from recognizing him.      Luke 24:13-16God kept them from recognizing Him.     Luke 24:1617 He asked them, “What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?” They stopped short, sadness written across their faces.          Luke 24:17Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.        Psalm 23:4When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you...     Isaiah 43:2My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.        Exodus 33:14The Word Prepares Us and the Table Awakens Us. 18 Then one of them, Cleopas, replied, “You must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn’t heard about all the things that have happened there the last few days.” 19 “What things?” Jesus asked. “The things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth,” they said. “He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people. 20 But our leading priests and other religious leaders handed him over to be condemned to death, and they crucified him. 21 We had hoped he was the Messiah who had come to rescue Israel. This all happened three days ago. 22 “Then some women from our group of his followers were at his tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report. 23 They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive! 24 Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, his body was gone, just as the women had said.” 25 Then Jesus said to them, “You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures. 26 Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?” 27 Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.         Luke 24:18-27Invite Others to Encounter Jesus Through You. One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to have dinner with him, so Jesus went to his home and sat down to eat. When a certain immoral woman from that city heard he was eating there, she brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume. Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them.             Luke 7:36–38Grace Produces Bold WorshipA person who is forgiven little shows only little love.            Luke 7:47bReligion Judges but Jesus HonorsWhen the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, ‘If this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of woman is touching him. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me.          Revelation 3:20 Read John 21:1-17God meets us in our failures, not just our successesLater, Jesus appeared again to the disciples beside the Sea of Galilee. This is how it happened. 2 Several of the disciples were there—Simon Peter, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples. 3 Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.” “We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night. 4 At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who he was. 5 He called out, “Fellows, have you caught any fish?” “No,” they replied.      John 21:1-5Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.           John 21:4Restoration often begins with relationship9 When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them—fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread. 10 “Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught,” Jesus said. 11 So Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net to the shore. There were 153 large fish, and yet the net hadn’t torn.12 “Now come and have some breakfast!” Jesus said. None of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Then Jesus served them the bread and the fish. 14 This was the third time Jesus had appeared to his disciples since he had been raised from the dead.            John 21:9-14When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.             John 21:9Feed others out of what God has done for you15 After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him. 16 Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said. 17 A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.”           John 21:15-17When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”           John 21:15aPeter answers, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” And Jesus says, “Feed my sheep.”       John 21:15b Challenges For The Week:• Be brave by bringing your failure to Jesus’ table. • Prioritize your relationship with Jesus by making time to break bread with Jesus daily.• Feed others from your story of God’s Grace• Host a table of your own and bring people together • Listen for Jesus’ voice and open the door to Him every day

Many of Levi’s fellow tax collectors and other guests also ate with them.30 But the Pharisees and their teachers of religious law complained bitterly to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with such scum?” 31 Jesus answered them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. 32 I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.             Luke 5:27-32Jesus Calls the UnlikelyJesus saw a tax collector named Levi…      Luke 5:27When Jesus Calls the Only Right Decision to Make Is To Leave Everything and Follow Him28 So Levi got up, left everything, and followed him.         Luke 5:28God’s Table Is A Place of Belonging29 Later, Levi held a banquet in his home with Jesus as the guest of honor. What kind of men will we be?God Determines When Life Begins, So We Are Called to Protect LifeYou made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’swomb. 14  Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship ismarvelous—how well I know it. 15  You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. 16  You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:13–165  “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set youapart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5God Defines Sexual Purity, So We Pursue Holiness3  God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin.  4  Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor— 5  not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways. 1 Thessalonians 4:3–527  “You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’  28  But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.  29  So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.  30  And if your hand—even your stronger hand—causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. Matthew 5:27–30God Controls the Future, So We Lead with Trust, Surrender and CourageYou can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. Proverbs 19:215  Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6  Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5–613  Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” 14  How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.  15  What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:13–15“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs19:21“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” Psalm 37:23God Declares the Truth About Children, They Are A Blessing, Not A Burden“Children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.”  Psalm 127:3

From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”         2 Peter 3:3-49 The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. Jesus told them this story: “A man had two sons. 12 The younger son told his father, ‘I want my share of your estate now before you die.’ So his father agreed to divide his wealth between his sons.          Luke 15:11-12 A few days later this younger son packed all his belongings and moved to a distant land, and there he wasted all his money in wild living.        Luke 15:13 Jesus loves you, even though you’ve rejected and refused Him A few days later this younger son packed all his belongings and moved to a distant land, and there he wasted all his money in wild living. 14 About the time his money ran out, a great famine swept over the land, and he began to starve. 15 He persuaded a local farmer to hire him, and the man sent him into his fields to feed the pigs. 16 The young man became so hungry that even the pods he was feeding the pigs looked good to him. But no one gave him anything.         Luke 15:13-16 Jesus loves you, even when you are far from Him and life seems dark When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, ‘At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger! 18 I will go home to my father and say, “Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, 19 and I am no longer worthy of being called your son. Please take me on as a hired servant.”’ 20 “So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.     Luke 15:17-20 Jesus loves you as He welcomes you back  So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.      Luke 15:20 Jesus loves you as He celebrates your return His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son.’22 “But his father said to the servants.      Luke 15:21-22 ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet. 23 And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, 24 for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party began.       Luke 15:22-24 Jesus loves you as He gives you grace and brand-new life Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door and I knock, and if you'll hear my voice and open the door, I will come in."         Revelation 3:20
