In this episode CJ and Spilly talk two of the bigger moves prior to the start of the winter meetings. Willy Adames gets 7 years and $180M dollars to join the Giants. Spilly has concerns about the Giants age and tells us why they need to stay aggressive. The Orioles give Tyler O'Neill 3 years and $49.5M. CJ says there is no way they sign him if they didn't move the RF wall in and is discouraged that the Orioles aren't willing to sign a qualifying offer starting pitcher.

Reliever Contracts Coming in Light, SEA in on Cease, Another Prospect Contract
CJ and Spilly are a bit surprised by how low a couple of reliever contracts are come in here in January. Perhaps analytics are to blame. The White Sox named Dylan Cease their Opening Day starter but it appears the Mariners would like to have them in their rotation this season. The Detroit Tigers have signed a player to contract worth nearly $30 million who has yet to play in the big leagues as the trend of locking up prospects continues to grow.

2024 Hall of Fame Inductees and Near Misses
In this episode CJ and Spilly cover the 2024 Hall of Fame class. The vote totals are in and Adrian Beltre, Todd Helton and Joe Mauer all made it. Billy Wagner missed by 5 votes (Yes, Spilly 5!). Gary Sheffield did not make it in his final shot and Andruw Jones fell short again with three more years on the ballot.

Year End Pod: We Reflect on Big Surprises, New Jobs, Baseball on TV and what we learned from this World Series.
2023 is in the books and there is no better time for CJ and Spilly to reflect on the year that was. Personally it was a year of growth and new opportunities for both of the guys. CJ's team won the World Series and then he took a new job with the Atlanta Braves. Spilly got huge national opportunites calling games for Apple TV and calling the world feed for the World Series. They also talk about baseball on local TV, what it has meant for certain teams and what the future may look like. The Rangers need just one win to advance to the postseason, two for an AL West title, but they are short on pitching. The Marlins are looking like a wild card team and the guys see what manager Skip Schumaker has done with this club nothing short of incredible. The Giants have a managerial opening. In this episode CJ & Spilly are in awe of Ronald Acuna, Jr. and the amazing historic season he is having. How far can he take this thing, 30/70? Fans ran out on the field in Colorado and made contact with the Braves star RFer and CJ & Spilly would like to see harsh punishment for the offenders. The Twins are playing well and have finally gotten control of the AL Central. Baseballs are flying out of Target Field and Royce Lewis has joined the party. The Giants rotation was thin and now a rookie has stepped up in a big way and the timing could not have been better. Plus it is BBQ day, ribs and bison burgers at the Nitkowski house!

Mariners Are Red Hot. Ohtani Refused Earlier MRI. O's Lose A Big Arm. A's Temporary Home Options
In this episode CJ and Spilly breakdown the red hot and now 1st place Seattle Mariners who shockingly, are only the 2nd hottest team in baseball this month. Angels GM Perry Minasian tells reporters that Shohei Ohtani and his advisors refused imaging after he left a game on August 3rd. Felix Baustista of the Baltimore Orioles is dealing with UCL issues of his own. We know the Oakland A's are leaving for Las Vegas, but their new ballpark won't be ready until 2028, some options emerge of where they may play between now and then, including staying in the Bay Area.
