Wow, what a year it’s been. Almost THIRTY episodes and we started, like, mid year. Killer content 24/7. THIS WEEK: We cover every single big announcement we got from this years Game Awards. From ads for nonsense mobile games we’ll never play, to hollow corporate live service games we’ll never play, to Elden Ring DLC trailers that we did NOT get to see, so we’ll probably never play that either. Hideo Kojima, Jordan Peele, and way too much about Final Fantasy. We got ZERO info on Elden Ring DLC which really bothers us. We also discuss our year in soaking up content, listing our highlights from movies, to music, and to most importantly, video games. Enjoy this, let us grow on you.

Alex and Jason discuss what is, without a doubt, the TRUE game of the year: Armored Core 6. The game was nominated for action game of the year, but we feel it deserves far more credit than that. The game 2023 awards are today, so we are releasing this in tandem with the awards. A nice pairing, if we do say so ourselves.

We get pretty deep into gaming on this episode, regardless of what the first twenty minutes might seem like. Alex reviews Spider-Man PS4, and we discuss where and how games fit into our lives as functional adults, and how our tastes in games have changed as we've matured, for better or worse. What is up gamers, it’s Alex and Jason here. With the release of Armored Core only FIVE days away at the time of writing this, the timing could not be more perfect to cover another FromSoftware game. Bloodborne is a game that Alex has beat maybe 7 or 8 times, but Jason hasn’t played it once in his whole life. Over the past few weeks, Jason has fallen head over heels in love with Bloodborne, and it might be in his top 5 games of all time, a list alongside other heavy hitters like Sekiro and Candy Crush.
