“Different Brains, Shared Vision: Joy, Movement & Business with Lucy Egan”

🌈 About This Season:This series is all about changing the outdated, unhelpful narrative that being neurodivergent is a problem. We’re speaking with people in Sussex who are neurodivergent — and those who live or work alongside them — to show that difference is not deficiency. It’s diversity. And it’s powerful.🧠 Episode Summary:In this feel-good, thought-provoking episode, we chat with Lucy Egan — Zumba teacher, Hyrox world silver medallist, mum of three, and co-director of Hove Fitness Club.Lucy might not identify as neurodivergent, but her story — and the way she works with her team — is a brilliant example of what can happen when different brains collaborate without competition. Her two fellow directors have what some might call “ADHD-style” creativity — bursting with vision, energy, and ideas. Lucy brings structure, consistency, and follow-through. Together, they’ve built something truly impactful. We explore what it’s like to be the one who gets things done in a world of big ideas — and how all brains, all ways of being, bring something essential to the table.🔥 In this episode, we talk about:What makes a dream team (and why it's not about being the same)How Lucy balances her superstructured, high-energy mind with others’ more spontaneous brainsThe power of movement for emotional wellbeing (for any nervous system)Why collaboration between different brain types is the secret sauce in businessWhat joy, rhythm, and consistency can teach us about happiness💥 Why this episode matters:Neurodiversity isn’t a problem to be fixed — and neurotypical brains aren’t the gold standard. Every way of thinking brings gifts. This episode shows what’s possible when we stop judging difference and start valuing collaboration.🎧 Listen if:You’ve ever felt “too chaotic” or “too controlling” in work relationshipsYou want to better understand the unspoken strengths in your team or familyYou’re a neurodivergent person navigating work with neurotypical folks — or vice versaYou just want to hear a joyful, grounded story about collaboration and movement📣 Guest Links: Lucy EganHove Fitness Club✨ Stay Connected:      Follow Katie & Daisy      Join the movement      Neurohappy.life  Katie helps people regulate their nervous systems- so they              can stay calm experience inner peace and live happily- working with their                  whole system mind/body- using mind inquiry - dissolving unconscious beliefs.        breath, emotion work and guided meditative process     Breathwithdaisy Daisy helps people literally breathe properly so they can                   experience the power of breath can transform the way people live, providing a         gateway to inner peace and renewed energy

A wonderful woman from Wales UK who is doing so much for neurodiversity in the city of Cardiff.I invite you to look for opportunities to open up conversations in the workplace or with friends or family about being neurodiverse, after being inspired by one of my clients who is an introvert yet created a meeting with HR at her workplace to discuss how to start talking and supporting all people at work in new and relevant ways.My client's sector has realised recently through collected data and research that most of their talent is neurodiverse. Her courage comes from being to help others after attending an event created by a charity set up to support people just like her which she found incredibly validating and she is breaking out of her comfort zone to pay it forward.I've recorded a  Self Love Activation for you, Use it as a boost, a energiser, or just a reminder to come back to yourself. That we are enough, just because we are and we are loved and supported at all times, even though sometimes this feels hard to remember.Remember we can do hard things. All my love Katie.Ps I support wonderful people who learn new skills to be fully themselves. Want to be happy and live a long and healthy life?

This episode is dedicated to my friends:A reminder to myself that I'd allowed my world to become considerably smaller over the last few years and it was affecting my life in a detrimental way.I'd sidelined what actually makes me feel most alive, the loves of my life, my friends.A reflection on the importance of taking back my role as a connector. That friendshipfor me are vital for me to thrive, and inviting some self-inquiry on your part as to whether you need to start reaching out again.I reminisce on our annual trips to Spain, the notorious big bush story, and, that laughter and freedom to be myself is my medicine of choice. Also touching on the importance of our brain health, and that we are hard-wired for human connection, Dr Tara Swart describes the fundamentals of this as we used to sleep huddled together in our tribes not just for warmth but for comfort. It is no wonder so many of us find ourselves feeling so isolated in this busy world.Let's start talking again, meeting up, laughing being silly. Are you up for it?I am Katie Stibbs, and I help support people to create lives that feel truthful joyful, and real. Many of the people I support are high-achieving stressed-out individuals that consider themselves neurodiverse. They want to now be fully themselves unmasked, authentic. We use my Simplify Method to get to the core of who they are. So they can start adjusting behaviours letting go of limiting beliefs to living a full and happy life.I'm a lifelong learner, and I share and teach using my training as a solution-focused therapist, Strategic intervention coach, relationship coach, meditation guide, and energy coach. Why you are not lazy?

I know you know the feeling. even the most driven and ambitious of you have probably been paralyzed by procrastination, but why? what if  I told you it's often our body going into a freeze response in order to preserve our energy? When our system detects exhaustion or fear, it cleverly shuts itself downthe freeze response is activated. When we add our critical inner voice to the party it exacerbates the whole cycle. What if we could reframe this response and fully recognise what it really is and accept and get the message and choose a new response of radical self-acceptanceI talk about how its our responsibility to heal our wounds so we can lean into fear and do hard things. That the more we honour ourselves and accept all parts of ourselves the more we back ourselves and love ourselves on a daily basis the more healthy power we internally create  and the good work we can produce I am Katie Stibbs a mindset & embodiment coach supporting ambitious women who realise this mind body and & soul work is the key to growth & expansion in their business and personal life without burning outYou can book a free 30-minute consultation at:www.katiestibbs.comhttps://www.facebook.com/katie.stibbs.9https://www.instagram.com/katiestibbs.ambitious.adhd

Breath, How it can just about change pretty much everything in your life for the better

We all know about breathing right? I mean of course we do.But we really don't.As breath is fundamental beginning  as part of the framework that I work with, withclients that want to really change the way they live and work, I opened the first page of the book Breath, The New Science Of A Lost Art, thinking I kind of knew a lot about breath. This book has blown my mind, and I dedicate this podcast to the essence of why it's so powerful. What many ancient civilizations had known for centuries was backed with research and science. The discovery of simply nose breathing and why will blow your mind toThe art of breath affects everything including the ability to reverse ADHDReverse asthma, allergies, scoliosis and much much more.Change your breath and you change your mood your chemistry your physiologyOur evolution has changed the shape of our skulls our airways nasal cavities, our mouths have become smaller and our brains bigger. Add to that the change to eating processed food which has put an end to chewing has culminated in massive problems insomnia and sleep apnea, BUT this can all be reversed by nose breathing. I would love to know your thoughts and experiences of reading this bookYou will never breathe in the same way again.https://www.mrjamesnestor.com/find me at www.katiestibbs,com. Accepting all parts of our self is the superpower that sets us free,

A love note to you. Ambitious woman with a brilliant scattered mindThat many women around the planet are ruminating overthinking and second-guessing themselves, we are human and we welcome all the things the good the bad and the in-between.And, we can work on these habits (and conditioning sometimes decades old)as they do not serve us they hold us back from being who we truly are at a deep core level.A reminder that nostalgia can bring us joy, and of course can be bittersweet.A beautiful surprise encounter with an old friend reminded me of this this recently, of the connection with our past and how powerful it can be.Memories can provide us the opportunity to heal and accept ourselves, from a more mature standpoint.I invite you to revisit your timeline and bring love and acceptance to the experiences relationships and feelings that might benefit from your attentionThe more we acknowledge the parts of ourselves we want to keep hidden the more we can build the resources and courage to be our bold badass selves!!!And together we riseI love you

Saving your Love relationship when one or both have suspected ADHD why educating, empathy and praise are key

Creating a safe relationship is vitally important when ADHD is added to the mix of romantic partnerships. Often couples have not realized that there are reasons for certain habits, behavior, and ongoing problems that have been exacerbated by ADHD.ADHD brains need praise acceptance and empathy. The years of constant criticism take their toll, but for the non-ADHD partner to understand this and then be able to give praise for the smallest attempt at changing habits like picking the socks off the floor can have such huge positive effects. These small, seemingly unimportant changes create an environment of safety support and warmth and couples can really begin to thrive. When the ADHD partner can also begin to look at their lifelong behaviors and actions and emotions and now attribute many of them to ADHD, they can also begin to see how they work together with their partner to create this warm loving relationship again.

The power of your intuition, its a real thing so use it wisely so you don't burn out, and imposter Syndrome and why why must still stand up and speak our truth despite it

I talk about our power of intuition, six sense gut instinct as an ADHD Woman. I explore how we are able to develop the skill, and how it can be extremely useful in navigating what is best for us and understanding that if we don't use our energy wisely we can burn out very quickly. The question is are you using your interpersonal intuition as an advantage in your own life or is it something that can be developed even further?Have you lost trust in yourself in this area, when you get the nudges or goosebumps are you paying attention?I explore the feminine wound, how even the seemingly most confident of women can be totally derailed by imposter syndrome and it is totally understandable as in years gone by we could have been burned at the stake for speaking our truth and standing up to be counted. It is our responsibility to accept the fear and still do the thing, we must not let it hold us back. Please let me know what topics you would like me to explore? you can reach me at [email protected] and insta @ambitious.audacious.adhdwomenPlease download the accompanying strategy guide at https://linktr.ee/katiestibbsRemember we drop the shame and accept our many strengths we can do anything we put our minds to.
