Barry and Jonathan recap their trip to Washington D.C. last week to meet with the churches of the Ecclesia Network. They will talk about their takeaways from the conference as well as some stories about their time exploring monuments and museums.

This week, Barry and Jonathan kick off the podcast by discussing holiday celebrations. In a chaotic world, we often assume our struggles are just about what’s happening around us. Jeremiah reveals that the deeper issue lies within, and that even our best efforts can’t resolve it. God’s answer is not to help us manage the chaos, but to forgive us completely.

This week we will examine the ways we seek to maintain control in the midst of chaos and how God uses chaos to reveal the false things that we hold onto. Ultimately, chaos leads us to discover our need for God.

Jonathan and Barry discuss Jonathan's love of Boars Head meat as well as his favorite butcher. They also discuss what they are watching and reading, along with their thoughts on our new sermon series "Living in Chaos."

We begin our series by learning about how God meets us in the midst of instability and how we need to live in faith by being honest about the pain we experience in our lives.

We come to the day between Jesus' death and Jesus' resurrection. This was a day of silence, a day of darkness, and a day of confusion. What was going on during this day? How can this little examined aspect of the final days of Christ's life on earth inform our life?

Barry and Jonathan discuss the Builders Meeting, the Discernment Team, Easter, and the ways that we can "make room" for others at New Circle. Jonathan also endures a "triggery" Easter version of overrated/underrated.

We move into the last day of Jesus' life on earth. On this day, he was betrayed, arrested, and ultimately led to the cross. As we examine John 18:1-11, we will look examine how the Kingdom of God moves forward in the world.

As we focus on the final Thursday of Jesus' life, we reflect on his washing of the disciples feet. As we examine Jesus' posture and actions, how can we learn about ourselves and follow his example?

As we focus on the last Wednesday of Jesus' life, we will focus on activities going on around him in the lives of Mary and Judas. Through the lens of Luke 9:23-25, we examine how they calculate their actions and what the implications are for our lives.

In this episode, Barry and Jonathan discuss some of what they have been reading and watching. The majority of the conversation revolves around the war in Iran and different ways that we can wrestle through how to think about the conflict.

As we focus on the last Tuesday of Jesus' life, we will focus on his teachings about the end of time found in Matthew 24. How are we to think about the end of time? What did Jesus mean by his words? How can they help shape our lives today?

Barry and Jonathan celebrate February while lamenting the fact that it is already almost over. They also continue to examine the concept of a "posture of planting" and how that can inform the ministry of New Circle moving forward.

This week we are joined by Builder, Christoper Suder. We learn more about Christopher's role as a Hospice Chaplain and how his faith informs his vocation. We begin the podcast with a specially tailored Overrated-Underrated segment designed by Christopher to trigger Jonathan. It's a lot of fun!

We will reflect on a portion of Scripture where some Greek people come to meet Jesus. Their journey to Christ teaches us much about ourselves, others, and Jesus.
