Nigel Richards Live DJ sets

At the Wisconsin weekender, the second half of my DJ set turned a rustic barn into a cathedral of techno. As we ventured deeper into the 6-hour sonic odyssey, hundreds of enthusiasts immersed themselves in the throbbing rhythms and electrifying beats. Amidst the backdrop of cows and waving grass, the fusion of techno and tribal sounds created a trance-inducing, heady musical experience that was truly unforgettable in the heartland.

Here we captured my first 90 minutes of a six-hour techno journey, set uniquely inside a rustic barn in the heartland of Wisconsin. Far removed from traditional club scenes, this experience was an electrifying fusion of raw, rustic authenticity and pulsating beats. With every thump of music echoing against the barn's wooden walls, united by the rhythm of the music and the shared passion for techno culture. This was not just a dance party but a journey of musical enlightenment, reinforcing our commitment to spreading the joy and unity inherent in techno music. As the moonlight mingled with lasers, the barn became a microcosm of the techno world, an unforgettable celebration of life, music, and freedom. Thanks

Laurent Garnier, Adam Jay, Justin Berkovi, Kraftwerk, Woody McBride... what can we say. Awesome music at an awesome outdoor event. This is a proper underground event without all the jiggida hoopla and mega barriers for cheesy mcdance music... this is a proper event about good music on a lake! Enjoy the journey.

Nightneak threw down yet again with a rocking techno party at the legendary Works Club in Detroit, the birth place of techno. Enjoy the energy as Nigel got to play the first set of 2017 at this wildly climactic party. Frankie Bones and DJ Assault were also on the bill and the room was amazing all night. Enjoy!

Rarely do I enjoy a club gig this much.... Sweaty international crowd in the most bizarre basement venue... until wee hours of the next day. This was top quality underground party business and you can hear that on this live recording. Enjoy! TECHNO NATION!

This set was recorded at the very cool Factory 54 venue for a housey loft style crowd. Huge disco balls... lots of smiles and good vibes were there all night. The entrance to the place was so hidden, Nigel waited outside for 15 minutes to be walked in. Enjoy!

Hot on a weekend tear, with an amazing show in Chicago for Almost Famous Entertainment on Friday, we were able to obtain this recording from Saturday night in Troy, Wisconsin. This was a smaller club event with an amazing 95% dancing enthusiastic crowd. Enjoy the journey.

Continuing on into the evening celebrating 2012, this second hour gets a bit deeper and bigger with some techno stormers. The energy at this event in Brooklyn was legendary as the fire performers and acrobats stunned the crowd while people were in a dancing frenzy. We are so glad we recorded this. Enjoy.

New year's eve... a big room event for sure. High ceilings, warehouse, performers flying above, fire business going on... It seems we have come full circle with a wonderful energetic crowd at a 'rave' style warehouse party called 'Electric Circus' which is the name used in the mid-nineties 'rave' at Madison Square Garden. Full circle and the crowd was roaring to prove it and claim their decade. Enjoy!

By far this was one of the best venues Nigel ever played on....an actual battleship that did quite a bit of war time. The magnitude of this ship was incredible and the vibe of this party, despite the freezing cold wind and rain, was energetic and fantastic. Respect and thanks to the PEX crew for including Nigel Richards on the line-up. The 3 story wall of scaffolding had triple layers of projections and dancers and the vibe was incredible as you will hear on this mix. Good times are always had in New Orleans and this was no exception. Nigel took it spacey in this second half of his set as the revelers bounced and danced in the Fish Bowl of a bar.

A small sweaty upstairs club with a small stage, a bar, lots of boogie down people. This was one of those epic parties that really keeps Nigel going... Great room, good sound, good vibes, etc.. It was the upstairs at the Aquarium, and the music was as received as Nigel was excited to play. Mental Floss opened up and warmed the crowd up so when it was show time, it was ON! Nigel played classics, bootlegs, originals, whatever.... ENJOY!
