David Kiran is back on the show with another 5 star Bible class! This one is about the visit of the Magi with Herod in Matthew chapter 2. You may think that this class should be reserved for Christmas, but like David points out, if we only associate these stories with Christmas, we miss a lot of important meaning and applications that have nothing to do with Chrstimas cards and manger scenes. As with his other classes, David brings out some fasscinating historical facts about the main characters involved in the story, before bringing out the lessons which we can apply to ourselves today.

On this week’s show I am excited to connect you to “Glory stories” with Dr. Elizebeth Vaughn. The You Tube algorithm recommended her channel, and I am glad I did! Dr. Vaughn is one of America’s top eye surgeons, who has also travelled the world as an evangelist. In this series, she shares the miracle stories of people she has personally known or knows the stories about. She has about 30 episodes on YouTube and you can search for them and watch them yourself. I have selected two to share with you on Nightlight today. These stories will greatly strengthen and inspire your faith that God is more than willing to do mind-blowing miracles in answer to prayer!

In my opinion this class is one of Melvin’s best! This will stoke up your faith to believe you can be one of those miracle workers of the Last Days! In fact, you have inherited all the power you need to start right now!

In recent years, author and current events analyst Steven Strutt has been a regular guest on Nightlight. Steven and his wife have just recovered from a serious attack of Covid. On this show, Steven shares what he learned from their ordeal, and speaking from personal experience, he has much to share! (Includes 3 recent songs from Maurice Allen Lee, Van Morrison and Ray Brannon)

On this show I share with you another exposition from one of my favorite 19th Century eschatologists, B.W. Newton. It is amazing that this was written 180 years ago, but is so relevant to us today. Newton talks about the momentous events leading up to that great “Day of the Lord” when He shall stand on the Mount of Olives with all His saints with Him, which will be first day of His 1000 year millennial reign on earth. Using Zachariah 14 as his text, Newton highlights the fate of Israel both before and after that Great Day, as well as the role of resurrected Christians during the Millennium, and the difference between earthly and heavenly Jerusalem, plus much more that will thrill you and keep you looking up and forward to that Great Day!

It’s been four months since our last current events Nightlight show, and, as you are well aware, much has happened since then! Robert joins me once again on the show with his take on some of the latest developments, especially as they relate to End time Bible prophecy. Includes a couple of surprise songs!

On this show I am going to read from “The Millennium and Israel’s Future” by Benjamin Wills Newton, another of the great 19th Christian writers. Although he was labeled as an heretic and a false teacher by the J.N. Darby and his followers, his friends and supporters included Charles Spurgeon, Samuel Tregelles and George Muller who said, “I regard Mr. Newton as the most accurate writer on religious themes of the nineteenth century,” I have now read most of B.W. Newton’s books and have been very encouraged that his basic interpretation of Bible prophecy confirms and strengthens all that I have been taught and have taught to others over many years regarding the coming Antichrist, the last 7 years, the Second Coming of Christ, the 1000 years of the Millennium, and the New Heaven and Earth. I have been wanting to share B.W. Newton’s teachings on the show for quite some time, but have hesitated, as I was not sure how easy it would be to absorb his expositions in audio format, especially as on every page there are notations and cross references. But on this show, I am going to give it a try. Let me know if you if you would like me to share more.

There are many scriptures in the Bible that exhort us to be "holy. I tend to cringe a little when I hear the word "holy" because I associate it with false piety and religiosity. And what does it actually mean to be holy? Melvin digs deep into God's Word to show how easy it is for each one of us to walk in true holiness.

This is very timely teaching from Melvin, not just in relation to Covid vaccinations, but the general way in which we should view and take care of our bodies, which are not ours to do with as we please. They were "bought with a price" by Jesus and belong to Him. They are sacred temples for the Holy Spirit to dwell within us. Melvin expounds on key scriptures that teach us that Jesus not only died for our spiritual salvation, but our physical bodies are also bought and paid for by Him to be used for His glory.

Newton, I am going to read you “The Rechabites”, in which he traces the history of the Rechabites in the Old Testament and how they remained true to their special calling of being a “separated people”, and how this should also be our calling in these last days.

"Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming upon the earth" - Luke 21:26. This is certainly happening today, with a deadly pandemic of fear continuing to engulf the world. Melvin is here to administer the vaccine of faith, which comes from the Word. Peter Gehr, husband of Cathy Gehr, joins me on the show from their home in rural New Zealand, to tell his story of how he developed chronic stress and how he overcame it. There's lots to take away from this interview, including "earthing", something I have been doing myself for some time, and it really works! I have arranged them in chronological order. They are complimented with short instrumental interludes by Michael Dooley. I highly recommend listening to these for your devotions over Easter. They are so deeply feeding and insightful into all aspects of the Easter Story.

Robert joins me once again on the show, as we discuss some of the latest developments in the news, as always, trying to make sense of them in the context of Bible prophecy. Remember, these are only our own personal views and we pray they will engender faith and not fear. Jesus said that “when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28) We should be elated and joyful and looking up to Jesus with eager anticipation, knowing that we are on the very cusp of His return and the beginning of His Millennial reign!
