Not All Slurs
"You can't say anything anymore!" TW: Content warning: This episode includes discussions of abusive language, discrimination, and other sensitive topics that some listeners may find distressing. Listener discretion is advised. In Episode 9 of Not All Clubs – Not All Slurs, we're talking about the language that still exists across community sport and why "it's just a joke" is never a good enough excuse. From casual sexist comments and homophobic slurs to ableist language and the everyday remarks that often go unchallenged, we'll unpack how the words people use shape club culture and who feels welcome. We'll also discuss why intent isn't the same as impact, and why saying "we can't say anything anymore" misses the point entirely. We'll reflect on the success of Wear Red Round, highlighting the clubs and volunteers driving positive change, before diving into the stories you've shared about the language you've heard on and off the field - revealing just how much work is still left to do.Because creating inclusive clubs isn't just about what we do, it's also about what we say. Thanks for listening, check us out and join in the #conversation on Instagram @notallclubs

Not All Events
In episode 7 of Not All Clubs – Not All Events, we’re talking about the club events that are meant to bring everyone together, but often end up doing the opposite. From scheduling clashes and expensive ticket prices to feeling overlooked or like an afterthought, these experiences highlight the challenges that can arise when club events aren't planned with everyone in mind, particularly women’s teams. Some of these stories are frustrating, some are so ridiculous you'll laugh to stop from crying, and most will probably sound familiar if you've spent any time around community sport. We’ll share those experiences and ask whether clubs are really thinking about who can take part in the events they're promoting. We’ll also tackle the age-old question: who is Ladies Day really for? Should women be attending, playing, or somehow expected to do both? And when clubs say an event is about celebrating women, what does that actually look like in practice?Because club events should be something everyone can be part of.Please note the sound quality on this episode is awful - remember we are working within a women's sport budget. Not All Clubs Are Safe
In our second bonus episode of Not All Clubs - Not All Clubs are Safe, we’re talking about accountability in community sport, and the everyday behaviours that continue to make sporting spaces unsafe for women and gender-diverse people.Joined by Dr Samantha Marshall from the Reducing Gender-based Violence Research Group (ReGEN) At Latrobe University’s Safer Sport team, we unpack why gender-based violence in clubs is about more than major incidents - it’s also about the cultures that silence, dismiss, and exclude. This episode also highlights Wear Red Round, encouraging clubs across Australia to wear red from May 29–31 in support of safer sporting environments and greater accountability when harm is disclosed.Because community sport should be safe for everyone.RESOURCES- Download the Safe to Speak, Bound to Act Toolkit at https://www.safersport.org/ - If any clubs want to get in touch with the ReGEN Safer Sport team you can contact Hanorah at [email protected] register for Wear Red Round here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf6SPLlmkb5QgiMMPw0AXxceoFyGh51CYBHlednbzhNwnzmvw/viewform?utm_source=ig&utm_medium=social&utm_content=link_in_bio#NotAllClubs #WearRedRound #SaferSport #GenderBasedViolence Thanks for listening, check us out and join in the #conversation on Instagram @notallclubs

Not All Wedgies - Pt1
In this bonus episode of Not All Clubs, Not All Wedgies, we’re talking about community sport and the standard that is seen as acceptable, not only at Kyenton but in footy clubs across Australia. The club didn’t fracture overnight. It was a slow build - death by a thousand cuts. Small slights. Uneven expectations. Decisions made without engagement, questions falling on deaf ears. And the steady sense that some voices mattered more than others. In this episode, we trace how the club formed, the issues that kept surfacing, and how it all built toward one defining moment: the 2024 Grand Final. When equality and psychological safety are repeatedly compromised, there comes a point where staying costs more than leaving. These stories aren’t about blame. They’re about patterns and atttiudes towards womens sport that exist everywhere within the community, and they're about one group who stood up and were willing to challenge the status quo. Part Two will pick up what happened after they left, and what comes next when people decide enough is enough. Not All Special Rounds
In this episode of Not All Clubs, Not All Special Rounds, we’re talking about inclusion - or at least the vestige of something that once resembled it.TW: Suicide is discussed in this episode and there is coarse language throughout.ANZAC, Pride, First Nations… these rounds are meant to honour connection, community, and respect. But too often, they end up feeling like a photo op where those very groups (and the women’s teams) are side-lined, forgotten, or handed the leftovers. We’re hearing your stories, unpacking the token gestures, and asking: what does real inclusion look like when the lights go out and the jumpers come off?Because if these rounds are about unity, then everyone deserves to be part of the story - not just the A Grade men. Not All Uniforms
Welcome to Episode 4 of Not All Cubs – Not All Uniforms. This time, we’re talking uniforms. The ones that don’t fit, show up halfway through the season, or clearly weren’t made with everyone in mind. Jumpers that ride up, shorts that don’t sit right, “unisex” cuts that are just men’s sizes with a new label. Meanwhile, the men’s teams have home, away, and heritage kits sorted — all fitting like a glove with preferred numbers to boot. So where does the problem start — with the suppliers, the league, the clubs? And why does it keep falling on players to just deal with it? We’re unpacking the system behind the gear, and asking: is this really the best we can do?TW #discusses eating disordersThanks for listening, check us out and join in the #conversation on Instagram @notallclubs

Not All Fixtures
In this episode of Not All Clubs, Not All Fixtures, we’re calling out the chaos that is the fixture — and how it keeps women’s teams at the bottom of the priority pile. Games are moved last-minute. Schedules clash with major events. Fixtures change week to week with no explanation. And somehow, women's teams are always the ones who have to adapt. We talk about what it feels like when your team’s not given a consistent slot, a fair go, or even the courtesy of being considered. Because if your game can be bumped for a Masters team from another club — what message is that sending? We share your stories, side-eye the usual excuses, and ask: why are women still treated like afterthoughts in their own clubs? Not All Player Payments
In this episode of Not All Clubs, Not All Player Payments, we’re talking money. Or more accurately — who gets it, and who gets left chasing hand-me-downs.While A-grade men get paid, juniors, women, and lower-grade teams scrape by. Is it about performance, tradition, or just plain old bias?We share your stories, side-eye the usual excuses, and ask what it really says when clubs prioritise envelopes over equity. Thanks for listening, check us out and join in the #conversation on Instagram @notallclubs

You be the judge.During the Episode we use and make reference to academic works which can be found at the following linkGender Relations, Gender Equity, and Community Sports SpacesThanks for listening, check us out and join in the #conversation on Instagram @notallclubs
